DRIVING MY CRASH DAMAGED BMW M6 FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME AND THEN IT WENT BANG!!!...
This is PART4 of my journey in saving my #wrecked #mseries #m6 in record time to do a road trip all the way to the M Fest at the end of this month at Kyalami #grandprix circuit. So after working around the clock we have made massive progress as the paint job is almost complete and the wheels can turn under its own power but something made a LOUD noise and lets hope this is not the thing that's going to stop us.

Just when I thought my work is done for now on this car , the panel shop contacted me to come and remove the whole suspension that I previously fixed. And if that wasn't enough, they also asked me to strip the interior that we previously cleaned and repaired. U still continued with the test drive m there was no other sounds .... Hopefully it's not expensive... Good luck brother.... I like the content....🎉

My reaction would be to tighten everything up and go for a proper drive to see if the noise comes again and under what condition such as lift off at a certain speed, etc. Love the M6 build it’s my dream car keep it going 🙏

@@RuanSchneider-jd6fx haha noises are always concerning Driving half broken cars all my life my instinct is abusing them a bit further to diagnose Although my parts are probably much cheaper than an M6 so would definitely be a lot more delicate with the M6😬

So Sad man, so sad.... I own a Mercedes S500 coupe and I was looking forward to see, how you will rebuild this car. But seeing such a big disaster, I feel bad for you. It is a wonderful and unique car, so if you can fix it - you will enjoy it for a very long time. Mercedes is not buildiny anything like this anymore - it has the both luxury and sports dynimics. I love to drive my car every time!

Some asshat hit something that took out the oil cooler, drove it till it died and then another genius thought it just needed a jump start and probably threw a bunch of voltage at it to try and get it to turn over. Starter created a dead short and melted stuff. That car is mechanically totaled. Best bet if you want to keep it is to find a used V12 and swap the motor. Replace all seals, plugs and consumables and then swap it over. Then you can get to work on the cosmetic stuff. Would definitely verify that all the electrics work before going any further though. The 1500 Lipo battery is the least of your worries. I would think you could get a used long block with accessories for under 20K USD. You will probably be underwater on the car at that point.
