You are absolutely right to stand up for expletive who may need your help when they are on. In fact it says more about the rude individual who made the original comments. My mum taught us that if we couldn’t say anything nice we should keep quiet, I’ve always tried to live by this rule, I’m not perfect but I try to be kind to everyone. You are exceptionally kind and I enjoy listening to what you have to say , take care love and hugs xx ❤

I can relate to what you have said entirely as I too have long term health issues which severely limit social contact with friends and am a very shy person too. Thank you for being here today. I live alone and see very few people so you have become a bit of a friend to me.

I have a friend who has a really bad kidney and it causes a lot of pain and a lot of health problems. She just had her left thyroid removed. It was latest of a long line of operations. She somehow remains a lovely person.

It’s ok to be mad, I would be too!!! People say the most thoughtless things. I went through chemo and I got so many “oh you are super woman doing it all” comments…no, just don’t have a choice. Oh, you are looking good considering…as they get upset if you loose weight or pump you full of drugs. I get it :( you are a good person for standing up for her!!!

Mandy, I know who you are taking about and when she said what that comment was that was written to her, I was so shocked that someone would have the guts to say that. Some people!! But, I am very glad that her podcast encouraged you to start yours. Very enjoyable.

I don’t regret watching this, I enjoyed it. There’s a saying, if you can’t say something nice don’t say nothing at all. More people need to exercise that saying. I found you through Caroline i have known her since her son was young. I also watched the podcast your talking about. Totally out of order. She was very gracefull towards the person. I felt for her. How nasty some people are. What pleasure do they get from it.

Dear Mandy, I’ve been watching your videos since the beginning of the year. I’m a 63 year old knitter in New Mexico, USA. I love your videos! I love your sense of humor, your knitting and your family. You always leave me with a smile, enjoying my knitting and I appreciate you very much. I don’t know why people are so cruel but I believe we should call it out when we see it. Humans need to care for each other. Happy Christmas dear. I am from Ohio United States and I am too am occupied four walls. My son Sammy is my hero he took care of me when I suddenly became ill. My life as I knew it changed sadly at the time I didn't have internet WiFi. I thought my grandmother taught me to knit Crochet and Sew if I die so will what I was thinking taught. My life changed when I got WiFi internet. I am still in my house. Going out only to Dr appointment but I gone further than I ever thought but also still in my chair.

I know who you were talking about. I also felt that I wanted to defend. She was amazingly calm and thoughtful in her response. Not sure I would have been. Illness is no joke. I love watching you, you often make me laugh, which is a good thing as I have been dealing with grief over the loss of my husband 2 1/2 years ago. 3rd Christmas. Don’t want to ‘celebrate’. But you are a breath of fresh air, and I’m glad you are keeping your sense of humour. It is so necessary isn’t it? All the best for the coming year and I hope you manage to get your kidneys under control.

Well said, Mandy. I saw the vlog you are talking about and I think she is doing great keeping her sparkle. I was admitted to hospital three weeks ago with a clot on my lung. I was sent home a week later and five days after that I tried to walk to the shop. I was brought home and sent for an ambulance. Turns out the clots had multiplied. So from being get up and go me, who was getting her life back on track after losing my Mum last year, I now have to learn to slow down, swallow blood thinners and after four days bed rest and four days sitting in the chair and being allowed to go to the loo by myself, I find I am scared to go home. I live on my own and though I have family nearby, they have their own lives. I mentioned this to a nurse tonight who nodded and didn't say another word In myself I feel better but if somebody would just tell me the date on which I will be able to resume normal living then I could work on it. I have a holiday booked in March so that's my target. Keep on doing what you are doing. Your smile makes me feel better each day. Vlogmas has kept me sane in here.

To be honest I think you finished off Scotland perfectly 😍that monument is naff, as someone from Scotland I can think of several other places I would have picked as a National monument than that one 🤣🤣, hence why no one want to put the money in to finish it, not even the National Trust for Scotland 🤭 I saw that too I was 🤬 raging!!! it made me so angry. She is just a fabulous human being and some people can be a holes, Know you are loved and I think the Sisters and I may need to club together to buy her a special gift because you too are missed when we don't see your gorgeous face. Can you imagine the trouble you, Tonya and I will get into if we were ever to meet up 😬🤯🤣 I do think it has something to do with all of us, it's about what acceptable behaviour looks like and will be tolerated and what won't - it's one thing to put something out into the world it's another for everyone and their dog to start giving unsolicited opinions on appearance. We both know someone else going through this treatment and the fact that this fabulous person is showing her true experience - good, bad and ugly deserves to be praised and supported. Let's be completely honest we all have a public and private face, you can only keep up the public façade for so long, I love that our friendship is so strong we no longer care what we look like as long as we see each other 🤣🤣 xxx
