What island should I go to next?

When I was living in Nakano I’d walk to Golden Gai every Saturday night and get drinks by myself. Loved the feeling of being around tourists and then getting to chat with worldly people. Now I live in Kawasaki and I’m so bored on Saturday nights!!

"Bring some bread.." PLEASE DON'T DO IT!! Fish love bread, it's their McDonalds. They choose it rather than do their real job in the ecosystem, which is to keep the reef clean. Ask any of the dive shops, they'll confirm this. A few years ago, we visited Gili Sudak, one of the south Gilis, closest to Lembar and therefore a popular weekend destination for locals. We immediately noticed two things: 1) the accom staff handed us bread-filled bottles, and 2) the reef was covered in algae, and fish numbers were minimal. Obviously the local touts will continue to encourage this destructive practice (if other guys are doing it, why would they not?), but we need to do our bit to maintain this precious ecosystem. Spread the word..
