In the Tirta Empul temple you mean? I never thought about this but I did do some research and apparently there have been water snakes before but they are shy and not aggressive and prefer to avoid the crowds all together. However, I would say that snakes here are a rare occasion and not the norm :)
Don't worry to much. I havent gotten bali belly once and I've been here months now:). Just avoid tapwater at all costs, only filtered water. And ofcourse, beware eating salads or raw vegetables, especially at tiny warung stands (which are street food stands). Other than that, don't worry, you will have a wonderful holiday :)
Sorry to p""s on the parade- but Ubud is a congested, litter strewn and totally overrated place to visit- unless you like tourist tat, traffic jams and single use plastic chocking the place up.... Latest and last visit 07/2024....
Well, you aren’t wrong, but ubud is actually a lot less busy then other Bali cities. That’s why I prefer it over the others. Regarding the pollution, totally agree, it is dirty everywhere.. both locals and foreigners attribute to this unfortunately. Sometimes I love ubud, sometimes I hate it 🤪

@ thanks for commenting! Im planning a trip to bali with my friends but the only thing holding me back are the dangers in the water and bali belly😂

@ that’s the paradox of tourism… you contribute but pollute, and unfortunately the tourist taxes don’t end up where they should end up….
yes, that's a bit the issue everywhere in the world.
