hey Nik all your videos are an inspiration. For me it’s all about garage envy as all the work I do to Betty the bus is on the street lols. Please keep them coming and all the best for Christmas mate
Nice build mate, looks great 👍 👍👍
Thanks mate, hope your well ;)
@DemopVWgarage yes mate very well. I had the sandrail out today at swanlake 😁
Ingenious 👍
@@KombiGarage thanks joe
G'day Mr Nik, Some awesome fabrication skills at work in your shop. Q. Excluding powder coating, how much time do you have into this. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.
Took one full day to complete 👍🏽
Do you have any videos of the oven build?
Yes go back through the play list it should be there how I made it 😁
Dude, excellent work!
@@VWJawbreaker cheers Garry was fun making it 👍🏽
Great work as usual Nik. Love your workshop ❤️
Nice job!
Hi Nick, great job as always. This will definitely improve the look of the engine even more. You really succeeded. Greetings Mark
Cheers Mark, was a fun little project
That was such a neat little build. Did you do a leak test prior to powder? (I may have missed it due to a droning noise coming from the direction of my wife)
Indeed its leak free😁 I too suffer from wife drone 😝😉
Great work Nik. Plus a few extra words for algorithm engagement.
Thanks for that!😁😁
Epic👌
Hi Nick, wow nice work mate of reconstruction of the Top Oil Filler. An lot of work forming in a Smart way of understanding how to do so👍🏻.Greetings, Hubertus🙏🏻🇳🇱🇳🇴☮🍀🇦🇺

Absolutely incredible workmanship! I've been watching you since the ambulance build. I love what you do ,bringing these old VW's back.
@@kurtwinkler6859 cheers Kurt, glad you enjoyed it. I think the 55 panel van is my favourite resto so far.
A very clever man with a good sense of humour , well worth watching for any car enthusiast.
Great job crazy amount of work
@@ronkemp9528 seriously is hay😉👍🏽
Another interesting and informative video. Thank you and best wishes.
I also normally watch your videos while having a coffee. 8 am in Mallorca, Spain. I’m originally from Poole, Dorset, UK. I bought one of the original sets of Safaris from Creative Engineering in Dorset. Delivered personally by Dave palmer back in 1993. Keep up the good work Nik. Amazing skills and patience 😎🤙👍🏄🏽
@@besenzon1 How cool, getting one of the first ones 👍🏽😉 Think Daves sold the business now.
I just made a cup of coffee with your mug, and I saw this video! I just reassembled my double cab after my roof replacement and today I am buttoning up the final bits to do my first test drive (shake down). I am really hoping your roof surgery goes well, I know how hard that can be, but I have seen you do roof surgery in the past so I have confidence. I tig'd my roof so I could hammer and dolly the warping, which turned out great. However I just had to replace a small corner and didn't have to go into the meat of the roof, but I had to hammer and dolly that too because someone stepped on it. I also agree you picked the best place to cut the window metal, smart not to cut the posts horizontally.
@@SkaterStimm cheers mate, yeh hopefully it all goes well on the roof, tig on the roof for sure. How exciting on your first drive 👏 Hopefully you dont have any “whats that noise?” Moments 😉👍🏽
G'day, Mr Nick, A very interesting video. You have some awesome fabrication skills Nick. During this build your restoring some very rusty pieces. Q. Is there a chance you could show what it takes to set up your welder and tack one of these pieces together. So thanks for sharing the progress man, keep up the great work. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.
Well. Very much respect dude. Doing all that without a reference is tuff. You knocked it out. This is a tuff job but you didn’t give up. A professional would have charged a lot of money for this. You did it yourself. My hats offs. Makes me feel more me confident. I have two brand new welders just sitting there😂
Well thought out planning mate 5 steps ahead 👍👍👍
Working out the windscreen was brilliant, well done sir. I may even wear DEMOP merch to DOVW
@@dalewyatt1321 cheers mate, I’ll be there filming away 😉 Be careful you might end up in an episode 😜
Hi mate, at the risk of repeating myself.....but again fantastic work. At first I was blown away by the dashboard...but the window frame was really awesome! Greetings Mark
@@AircultBerlin Thanks Mark, I’m almost got the front done, hopefully on to the back next week 👍🏽
Hi Nick & an great good morning,Wow it`s incradeble wat you do in te construcktion of rebuilding the new parts & make these fitt that demands a great deal of technical thingking how do I do that.Just that time consuming trying cutting and looks👀 of the fiment is correct I say 🎩Hat of mate you are a real Master in carroserie rebuilding💪🏻.Greetings from the Old Dutch Norwegean, Hubertus🇳🇱🇳🇴🙏🏻☮👍🏻🇦🇺
@@HubertusSchaper thank mate, just thinking about the 5 steps ahead all the time on this build 😉👍🏽
goodmorning great progess
Perfecting timing! Just made a cup of coffee!!
Enjoy!
Just cracked a beer.
I always check thrust before assembly by fitting the bearing and flywheel with gasket on the crank , unless the thrust is to tight you get a perfect job every time, and i wouldn't assemble a bearing thats overtight on the thrust
Hi Nick & Pauli, Great work with the engine, Looking forward to see that back & firing it up for the first time.Great work guys.Greetings.Hubertus🙏🏻🇳🇴🇳🇱☮️🍀🇦🇺

Hi, I love your videos and it's a real gold mine for my future restoration. I also make youtube videos, well I try, and it's not easy to succeed in the restoration while filming and editing the videos Salut j’adore tes vidéos et c’est une vraie mine d’or pour ma futur restauration. Je fais aussi des vidéos youtube, enfin j’essaie, et ce n’est pas évident de réussir la restauration tout en filmant et montant les vidéos.
@@latelier7182 Thanks for watching I subscribed to your channel too😉 you do amazing work.
So your cam did not hit the rods? I purchased the AA rods just to see if it clears and it does not either. I checked it with another stock cam and it BARELY clears. Like .010 Inches of clearance. Mine looks like I need to clearance the AA rods too. I was going with stock rods but just decided to use the H rods.
@@Mikefngarage I’m running the bbt cam which is the 356 grind and all good with clearance with the H rods.
