I so love what you’re doing with fabrication of all the metal pieces and of course the fact that it’s VW’s. Amazing phenomenon that has occurred with those German vehicles.
beautiful work! Glad you didn't run into distortion hell trying to get the doors welded up. How did you refine the edges of the pressing? Also thanks for translating C to F for us Americans, all I know is if it is over 21C people are not happy.
Every Bus should have Safari windows. I don’t know why you wouldn’t 🤷♂️😎🤙👍
Can’t believe how much progress you’ve made. Keep it up buddy! Surfs up!!
Nice!
Thanks for the video: hope the surfing was good.
You're gonna be on the naughty list for not using your welding mask. Luckily you may have redeemed yourself by making that door handle recess, nice job. Have a great Christmas.
I cant read this as I have flash burn 😜 Dont worry I have uv contact lenses on😎 Have a great Christmas mate and thanks for the support this year 👍🏽😉
Hi Nick, Great artistic performance of metal creation, I´m just damaged how you get all that done💪🏻👍🏻🙏🏻. greetings.Hubertus🍀☮🙏🏻🇦🇺
Haha thanks mate, enjoying making the moulds and pressings.
Starting to look the goods sir, i love how you make your moulds for pressing.👌
Thanksm love how that press worked :)
That’s an awesome purple, did you have to redo that part?
Amazing color, and yes it was recoated ;)
sic okrasa question on the okrasa fuel filter why wasn't it mounted next to the fuel pump it would omit that copper line . is their interference somewhere . thanks for sharing the build
Yeh the tinweare gets in the way as it sits too low.
Sounds like a lesser spotted chiff chaff.
Hey mate would you happen to know if the LF1 3 litre is the same injectors as the 3.6? I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t be different but can’t find anything online
@@sebastiancoleman6654 not sure, haven’t played with a 3 litre yet. Commodore forum is your best bet😉
@ can confirm all the same injectors
That's a nice car hoist, wonder where i could find something similar.
@@MrDraftkid they are called a single post hoist, classic lifts sells this version.
I'll have a Redbull thanks Nick ✌️ Peace.
Great video, love seeing the process of think cut stand back and think some more. Really shows the true process of your creativeness. Really enjoyed this one
Hello, "Demop VW Garage" I saw your channel and saw that in your channel you have some awsomeness and Stoke, not many but just enough. For these awsome things your channel is growing well. If you add some radness, Your channel will grow like a storm. Do you want to know these rad ideas? If you Want to know, I can only tell to you. Can I tell here or email? I tell you here, I know the colour for that 57 oval in the back ground, now finishing that would be total radness

Brilliant work Nick 🥳👌

Wow !!! Amazing result 😍 So good to see a master at work. Lots of skill and patience. Will be great to see it in paint. 😎🤙😍👍
Hi Nick, This time at the beginning it looked like problems that I often have. But with your experience you managed it perfectly again. you're a really good problem solver. I needed you here, then I would be finished quicker 😂. Nice result in any case. Greetings Mark
Cheers Mark, I was worried at one point too (lol) One day I'll come over for a look around ;)
@ Let's see who will cross the big pond first 😉
Trying to mash together two suspect replacement panels is definitely a challenge. Looks like it came out great though.
Thanks Stan, happy with how I turned out. I looked at it from so many angles before finishing it.
G'day, Mr Nick, I think from years of surfboard, making your metal skills are awesome. I've had 35 years as a Cabinet Maker/Furniture maker, so I'm hoping my metal skills will be good as well. I've just got to stop procrastinating and buy a welder 😂. So, thanks for sharing the update man ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.
@@kevinhamling1963 wish I was better working with timber 😉
perfect job
Amazing work mate
Great result. Well done and best wishes.
If anyone wants a crash course on fitting roof skins, might I suggest going over to Bello's Kustoms youtube channel. He essentially overlaps panels, zips them together with self-tappers and cuts the overlaping parts with a mini-reciprocating saw to create a tight butt joint that he TIG welds. Mike Bello is a metal working maestro.
@@jdubsvr6 I’ll check it out😉👍🏽
This is how I'll have to build a single cab for myself if I'm ever going to be able to afford one.
A awesome job Nik, that needed some pro skills to do.

Nice work! You have lots of patience
Great job on that roof ,,, she’s coming out great.
Great work Nick! I was waiting for this video since I replaced my roof on my double cab and had to patch in one little area on the back corner on the donor. I had similar issues, and you are bringing back all the memories of that fiasco. Love how the two shapes married up together and your methodical approach. Also glad you tig welded it, makes it so much softer to hammer and dolly! I need to make a trip to come see you some day, I want to see these buses in person!
@@SkaterStimm Cheers mate, I’m glad its over 😂 Halfway through I was worried 😬🤣 Anytime your welcome over here😉🤙🏽🇦🇺
I was worried right beside you with that roof but you worked your magic on it for sure!
Really enjoyed seeing your process on this one!
@@VWJawbreaker cheers Garry, stoked on your bus purchase 😁

Hi Nick, It's always very annoying when you've already spent so much money on parts and then they don't work properly. On my 181 I sealed the oil pump three times until it was really tight. But I couldn't figure out why it was like that
So true, some sealants just don't work. I will try and seal up the push rods tubes from the inside first before removing the heads.
Great video! Some questions. What manifolds are you running? They look like Stefi G manifolds but I noticed the balance tube addition. Did you add that? Is there someone else making manifolds?! Also, what size crankshaft pulley are you running? How does it affect cooling/performance? Thanks and keep the videos coming! I’m enjoying this build.
cheers mate, yeh stefi g ones modded at home for the balance tube, the pulley is a 356 porsche one, also running the 40hp fan with extra blades. Cooling wont be a problem as it will be running an external oil cooler as well. The power pulley will give it a few extra ponies too.
@ thank you! Was wondering how critical an external oil cooler is when also running the gene berg sump? I appreciate the extra cooling but have always wondered how necessary it is if you only plan to cruise that engine. Finally does the slower pulley normally rob cooling capacity with the 36hp fan? If so, is it significant?
G'day Mr Nik and Mr Ovenboy. A great video. Thanks for sharing the engine start-up. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.
