The Hunt For A 20 Inch Brown Trout Continues!! (Eastern Pennsylvania Wild Trout Fishing)
I have always enjoyed trout fishing and the challenges it presents, but fishing for wild trout is a whole new world. Although not native to the United States, the places that you come across searching for these wild populations of brown trout can be quite captivating. In this episode I hop along a creek in Northampton, Pa in search of some trophy class wild brown trout! Things didn't go exactly to plan, but that's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

A MISERABLE Day Of Wild Trout Fishing In Pennsylvania... (Frozen Hands, Snags and Lost Lures)
มุมมอง 19914 วันที่ผ่านมา
We all have our good days of fishing, and we all have our bad days of fishing. This day happened to be the latter in that statement. I started the day out later than usual in hopes to avoid the below freezing temps of the early morning, but I didn't account for the wind chill bringing the temperature down from 38 degrees Fahrenheit to below freezing! The whole time I was battling to keep my han...
Fishing A New Jersey Inlet For ALIEN-Looking Fish!? (Fall Season Saltwater Fishing)
มุมมอง 40521 วันที่ผ่านมา
In the cooler months of the year, there are several uniques species of fish that can be found swimming in and out of inlets that aren't found here in the summer months. I usually go to the beach when its hot outside, so I have had very little experience with these species. It was time for that to change as I hit u one of New Jersey's inlets and tried to catch these unique species. Everyone arou...
Saltwater Micro-Fishing In New Jersey Takes An Unexpected Turn! (3 New Species! Tropical Strays!)
มุมมอง 296หลายเดือนก่อน
Having seen recent catches from other life-listers in the community, I was driven to try saltwater micro-fishing one more time this year. I had set out with the goal of caching some of the more common species I hadn't yet added to my life-list such as Skilletfish and Striped Blenny. However things took an unexpected turn at my last spot when I was greeted by dozens of tropical reef fish still s...
Multi-Species Fishing A Tiny, Urban Creek FULL Of Pollution (Chester County, Pennsylvania)
มุมมอง 394หลายเดือนก่อน
It's always nice to fish your honey holes, but sometimes you have to go out and find those hidden urban creeks that no one else thinks to fish. These creeks may seem void of life, trashy, and even smelly to most people, but that doesn't mean there's not fish! In this video we found a tiny creek jammed between a highway and a shopping center and decided to give it a try! 7 species in just over t...
Micro-Fishing A Small New Jersey Creek For Shad! (Delaware River Tributary)
มุมมอง 550หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I crossed the bridge from Pennsylvania into New Jersey on the hunt for a new species of shad for my life-list. It took me awhile to find bait to catch them, but there was plenty of juvenile American Shad swimming up this tributary of the Delaware River which made catching my first one fairly easy. Species number 189 for me!
Fishing Jerkbaits For QUALITY Wild Brown Trout! (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)
มุมมอง 267หลายเดือนก่อน
Traveling into northeast Pennsylvania towards the Poconos can guide you to some awesome trout waters. I have fished a few of these creeks known to hold big wild brown trout in the past, but my luck has always been sparse. This time I headed to a creek I had never fished before in search of some of these wild brown trout. The first two hours of fishing were unproductive with 0 bites to show for ...
Are TROPICAL FISH Species Still Around In October?!?! (Saltwater Micro-Fishing! 6 NEW SPECIES!)
มุมมอง 261หลายเดือนก่อน
New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and even places further north experience a phenomenon along their Atlantic coasts that causes fish species found in more tropical and sub-tropic waters to stray north, far outside their expected range. For a multi-species angler like myself this phenomenon allows me to catch fish species I would usually have to travel hundreds of miles to try and catch. We can...
Fishing Where The WILD Things Are!! Fishing For Wild Brown Trout With The TROUT MAGNET!
มุมมอง 2132 หลายเดือนก่อน
Fishing for wild trout populations is one of my favorite ways to fish. Despite not doing it too often, it's always nice to take a break from my usual honey holes and go after these hidden gems in the countryside. In this episode I encountered an army of chubs that attempted to stop me from completing my mission, but in the end I prevailed and caught a very solid wild Brown Trout (at least for t...
FAILED Stocked Trout Fishing Turns Multi-Species (Trout Magnet To The Rescue!)
มุมมอง 2392 หลายเดือนก่อน
Early fall trout stockings have begun in Pennsylvania and in this week's video I decided to give fall trout fishing a shot. Usually I limit myself to trout fishing in the late winter to early summer months. Trout fishing in October was quite different than fishing in the spring. For one, I noticed that there was less fish stocked than during the spring stockings, the fish seemed smaller and les...
Multi-Species Fishing A New Spot On Brandywine Creek! (8 SPECIES CAUGHT!)

Fishing a new spot on the Brandywine Creek with the Trout Magnet! The fishing session started off slow as I began to figure out this new section of creek. Fishing Along Dock Pilings For Tropical Species Of Grouper! (September 2024)

Tropical stray season is slowing down here in the northeast, but there are certain species that will be hanging around a little bit longer before temperatures drop. Several species of grouper are known to stray north such as Scamp, Gag and Snowy grouper can all be found north of their normal range as juveniles. These groupers hang tight to structure like pilings and large rocks. Although they w...
INSANE Night Of Saltwater Micro-fishing In The Northeast! (CRAZY TROPICAL FISH!)
มุมมอง 3493 หลายเดือนก่อน
Nearly a month after my last attempt, I made the drive over to the saltwater as the sun began to set with one goal in mind: find and catch as many tropical strays as I can. I did exactly that. As soon as I arrived to my spot I began by spotting a Spotfin Butterflyfish that at this point in the season had finally grown large enough to get a bait to. It didn't stop there as the tropical finds jus...
September Multi-Species Saltwater Fishing! Micro Snapper, Jacks & More!

Making the most of the warm weather we have left here in the northeast, I took two days (September 4th & 10th) to visit the saltwater to see if I could get any new species for the lifelist. Trout Magnet VS. Trout Slayer! Fishing For Smallmouth Bass On French Creek! (Chester County, PA)

The Trout Magnet is on of the most popular lures here in the northeast, not only for trout fishing, but for multi-species fishing as well. The Trout Slayer is less popular for trout fishing, but the presentation makes it advantageous when targeting other predatory species adapted to feeding on small crawfish. In this episode I put the Trout Magnet & Trout Slayer together to see which lure will ...

So cool! Thanks for making the video. Thumbs up from me!
Thanks! Greatly appreciate it!
You ever been to Fanny Chapman?
I have not! Would it be worth checking out?
@ for sure. Guaranteed catch every time. They let you keep the fish too
Bring power bait if you ever go
Love what you do I want to do it myself . Glad I found you ! Thanks
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed the video 🤘
That spotfin butterflyfish clip was very cool, especially him being calm enough to hang around and feed off of your skin upon his release!
Thanks! He cooperated very well for me to my surprise
Extremely cool! Congrats on the new species.
Thank you!!
Amazing
Thanks Brian!
Hey man, just stumbled on your channel and I love your scientific approach, and the ID pictures right after the catch is great. Keep it up!
Appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed the video!
The eye just separates one from male and female. I live in South Carolina and the fully grown male bowfin here have black spots on there tail with an orange ring around the spot
Yes. Both species can have an ocellation on the tail. I believe it’s just more bold in males vs. females. In South Carolina you have Ruddy Bowfin (Amia calva) while here in Jersey the Eyetail Bowfin (Amia ocellicauda) is the native species. Both very similar but different genetics caused them to be split into two species a few years back.
@ oh I see
Great work !
Thank you!
Nice job Nate! I checked Inat since I thought I knew where you were, and low and behold, it is a tributary of my local creek. There is so much diversity...been fishing there since 2019 and have a few more yet to be caught lifers! Quillback, Longnose dace, shield darter and a baby snakehead are all sightings yet to be caught!
Thank you! I knew I was gonna be nearing your neck of the woods when I was heading there. The Quillback observation is what peaked my interest in heading here. I’ll have to check it out in the spring and see if I see anything different.
Bluntnose Minnows are very nice fish! They are very easy to breed!
Makes sense, because whenever I find them I find them in bulk! Hahah
Lambert-Ville! Nicely done. Never considered going after shad, but they are an historically important fish. Never a dull episode on The Ville.
😅 Thanks a lot! Shad fishing can be super fun, although this isn’t how most people target Shad I still found it amusing. Thanks for your support!
Nice catch. Their scales look delicate compared to other fish.
Thanks! The scales are pretty delicate. I tried to wet my hands to minimize that. Anchovies are far more delicate with their scales they get all over the place
Tough to throw a trout magnet far with no splitshot on a 2lb line. Jerk bait well done! We forget sometimes that trout eat small fish too, and not just insects. I would have first switched to a spinner so this is a good tip. Thanks Ville!
No problem! If you use a light rod a trout magnet can be casted a decent distance as long as you have a full spool on the reel. I’ve seen others use a jerk bait here which is what prompted me to try it. Turns out it gets the job done!! Glad you found the video helpful!
Still smashing the exotics in October, nicely done
Thanks!!
Impressive night. They would all be new species for me
Thanks! When the stars align the right way I end up finding some cool stuff. I think the ultra low tide given the full moon played to my advantage
Dude 100% try a fly out there. It will catch bass and sun fish. Hah black stone fly! Awesome content! Subscribed!
Appreciate your support! I’ve done some fly fishing in the past, but it’s not a pretty sight 😂. Definitely a skill I would like to fine tune a little more
I've been using a Trout Magnet Jighead with a little 2" berkley plastic minnow. Been having good luck with that. Good video!
I actually just ordered some Berkley Gulp! Minnows so I will be testing those out soon! Glad you enjoyed the video!
spray paint the sides of the tank black for better background to isolate and enhance the subject
Since the upload of this video I purchased a new phototank from a friend of mine that has a black background. The photos come out much better now!
Love diverse streams like this. Reminds me of a Waterfall I fish at here in NH. If you ever want to catch more Fallfish , waterfalls are the place to be (hence the name). Do you ever try inline spinners? I bet you'd have some good luck from a small Rooster Tail or Panther Martin, though it looks like you're getting plenty of action from the soft plastics ;)
Thanks! Not too many waterfalls around me here in SE Pennsylvania. Still I find no shortage of Fallfish 😅 Whenever I want to switch up lures Rooster tails and Panther Martin spinners are one of the first things I’ll go to. Mainly I’ll use them for trout when they’re freshly stocked and are still aggressive enough to give chase to a spinner
I've been looking for a pickerel since I came to the US. Not one yet, I'm in South Florida though. It's pretty rare down here.
I know there are a decent amount of tannic water streams that have them in northern Florida. I haven’t fished any freshwater in the times I’ve been to Florida so I’m not much help in directing you where to start unfortunately. Thanks for watching and I’ll be wishing you safety during these storms!

I've fished as late as mid October in the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee. I actually camped. It was still that warm. I had to go to the remote areas to catch trout though , but they were there. I'm not sure if using fluorocarbon makes a difference or not. . I've always used it....well braid with a fluorocarbon leader.
Going to those remote places are definitely the way to go. Those populations are naturally reproducing and don’t get stocked. Fish are much healthier and when less pressure by other anglers they can be more aggressive as well. Light fluorocarbon leader definitely can help as it’s more transparent in the water.
Hello, I live in a PXV address, and I'm happy to have found your channel! You know so many spots near here that I've never heard of. With no connections Im having quite a tough time finding spots. Would you be willing to share the coordinates of some spots you have fished and would recommend that are near Kimberton, etc? Thank you, I'm glad you're still making videos, working through all of them.
Thanks for watching!! I have a decent amount of spots in the area. Most of them are just public access trail parking and I’ll end up walking upstream or downstream depending on the day. There’s fishing access at the parking areas usually, but I just like to move around a lot while I fish. I’d be happy to share some spots with you and get you started. Any chance you’re on Facebook or instagram at all? Their messaging features allow to send coordinates a bit easier than TH-cam comments haha.
How many have you caught? I am from the southern teir of New York and I have seen them a lot, I am trying to do some research on them!
This one is the only one I have caught on hook & line. This one came out of my local creeks which has a seemingly healthy population of them. They’re very cool fish!
I'm in SW Pa and creek fish from April to Dec and don't think I've ever caught a fall fish. Nice vid man
Far southwest Pa is slightly out of the native range of the Fallfish. Now granted that doesn’t mean that they aren’t there, but might be a little tougher to come across. Thanks for your support!
I know this section of creek
Nice! This is the first time I’ve attempted to fish it. Seems like it could be a lot better than what I was able to do in this video. I’ll have to go back another time
Nice vid. Love the multi species fishing
Thanks! I’m always happy to display the diversity of an ecosystem. Most people don’t even care to learn about the small fish. Most people are only trying to catch the big ones
My friend had snowy grouper in his minnow trap at his dock but I wasn't able to catch one.
I had friends catch multiples of them using similar tactics to what I used in the video, but I wasn’t lucky enough to get one. But I’ll definitely settle with a Scamp til next year!
Cool video. Love little creeks like that.
Thanks!! Always awesome scenery at places like this
To me it’s extremely weird fishing in a location that has both Snakeheads and Bowfins that coexist together 😳. No wonder there has been so much misinformation and disinformation going around about Bowfin, that is native!!
Snakeheads have invaded so many water ways here in the eastern U.S that it’s becoming increasingly more common to find Snakeheads in places that are home to native Bowfin. It’s important for anglers to know the difference to avoid causing any harm to native populations of Bowfin.
What are Florida reef fish doing way the heck up there I thought it would be too cold for them
In the late summer months the water around here usually peaks around 75 degrees which is warm enough to sustain these fish that are used to a warmer climate. It’s not until October that temperatures begin to fall and the fish that aren’t strong enough to form a migratory school either get eaten or die off from colder temperatures in the fall. These fish get swept up in the Gulf Stream as eggs or larval stage fish which is how they end up this far north.
Great video. My usual spot in RI is loaded with tiny gray/ mangrove snapper. I’m curious if they’ve been preying on the smaller strays like damsels because I constantly see them eating
Thanks! They sure are ferocious even at small sizes. I wouldn’t put it past them to feed on other tropicals if they grow large enough to do so.
Awesome. I’ve been catching tropical strays up in Rhode Island this summer with a net. Will def try a tiny hook and line next year. Looking forward to checking out the rest of your videos. Makes me want to document my finds too!
Thanks! I use Owner Half Moon Tanago hooks for the majority of my micro catches. The Gamakatzu Ultimate Tanago hooks work well too for the extremely tiny stuff. I like documenting my catches on the GoPro since a majority of the time I fish by myself most of the time it helps me feel not so lonely 😂
I really want an address for fishing snakehead fish, can you give it to me?
This goes so hard
Preeesh 😈
is it too late in the season to get tropical or anything rare or is it still possible?
I would say it’s still possible to get them. Water hasn’t cooled off quite yet. Probably the first week of October most tropicals will be on their way out. If you plan on looking for some I would go at low tide and make sure winds aren’t too rough. That way you have good visibility!
@@TheVilleOutdoors oh okay thank you i’ve been wanting to get some new types of fish tired of catching the same types always lol

beautiful fish you are a good fisherman.
Thank you!!!
Why use a native blue gill for bait. When you have an invisive species that will destroy the Ecosystem.
You make a fair point, and the reason behind my bait selection is that the native Bowfin is more accustomed to feeding in the native Bluegill. Bluegill also have a more slim profile that is easier for the bowfin to eat as cutbait, compared to the more bulky Warmouth. Although my plan didn’t end up working, that was at least my thought process. Also this population of Warmouth isn’t confined to the lake. As you see in the video the Warmouth are also populating the creek that connects to the lake which eventually leads to the Delaware River. When you have an invasive species in an open system, taking a handful of Warmouth out of that system isn’t going to make the problem any lesser, or greater than what it currently is. If the Warmouth were confined to the lake it would make more sense to remove them.

the point pleasant spot u need to try the train bridge where the queen marry docks
I’ve been to that spot before. It’s been hit or miss for me, but I know people who have gotten cool stuff there
is this near shark river inlet
are you in new jersey
Maybe and maybe not lol. The purpose of me not saying the spot is to keep it anonymous as best I can. Reason being certain people collect the tropical strays to sell them in the aquarium trade. So I’m trying to protect from that happening as best I can.
Another nice vid man. Keep it up. Really enjoying the micro fishing vids
Thank you! I’ll be keeping it up all year hopefully… but just realized my title didn’t save on the opening slide.. oops 🤦♂️
