The Adventures of Ollie.
SHE FELL OFF TWICE? | GOPRO HACK | THATOLLIEPONY
This ride was back in June! Abbey (in the grey jumper) ended up falling off of Benji twice, and then swapped onto Cody. Nothing malicious, just not balanced enough for Benji. Abbey was completely fine as not far to fall, lol. Benji has jumped down this banking since with his other rider and has done it successfully :). Not all horses are suited to all riders.

YOUNG HORSE RIDES OUT ALONE! | GOPRO HACK | THATOLLIEPONY
มุมมอง 702ปีที่แล้ว
With Ollie being out of action due to an injury, Benji has had to take on the world alone, his confidence has grown so much and he's proving to be a lovely little pony. I am not the person riding in this video, Benji's young rider who has brought him on for the last few months is :). Enjoy Horses: Benji Gelding 5 years old 12.3/13hh Mountain pony
BENJI'S SECOND TIME ON THE ROADS! | GOPRO HACK | THATOLLIEPONY
มุมมอง 1.3Kปีที่แล้ว
After months of hacking Benji through lanes and up the mountains, I decided it was time to see how he is when faced with busier traffic!. This was his second time on the roads and his first time on this busier route and he was fantastic! nothing bothered him. We don't tend to hack on the roads very often, but it's good to know that if need be, he will be fine on the roads :) Horses: Ollie Geldi...
OLLIE GOT STUCK?😱 | NICE GALLOPS!| GOPRO HACK | THATOLLIEPONY
มุมมอง 3.3Kปีที่แล้ว
BEFORE POSTING HATE PLEASE READ Firstly, I can only apologise for my constant "good boy's" it's the only words of encouragement I have for him apparently, lol. I thought hard about whether I should include the clip of Ollie getting stuck in his reins or not, but I decided to keep it in the video to be transparent and show that these things can happen with horses, and not everything is perfect! ...

I got off to fix Benji's exercise sheet and Amelia (Benji's rider) asked if she could have a go on Ollie, so we swapped on the way home :). Horses: Ollie Gelding 15 years old 14.1hh New Forest Pony Benji Gelding 4 years old 12.3/13hh Mountain pony

A quick hack around the forestry. Ollie was very fresh and ready to go as he just finished getting clipped about 10 minutes before this ride, and he definitely felt the wind on his skin! Horses: Ollie Gelding 15 years old 14.1hh New Forest Pony Cody Gelding 8 years olds 16hh Section D
GOING IN THE RIVER & JUMPING UP A BANKING! | GOPRO HACK | THATOLLIEPONY
มุมมอง 2.3Kปีที่แล้ว
Very proud of Benji on this ride! It was his first time going in the river and considering he's not too fond of puddles, he gave it a go regardless!. He also jumped up and down the banking, we will make a little XC pony of him yet!. The first ride of the new year with Benji!. Benji is my second pony, he is a newly broken 4-year-old and a little nervous at times. I talk to him and give him lots of encouragement so he knows he doing a good job at being brave!. I also say "Jesus Christ" a lot because it's quite a change from Ollie!. I love to hear the sound of horse's on the road, it's such a pleasure.
I'm pleased equestrian 🐎 rider's have helm cam's for evidence 🧾 of misdeeds.
Sometimes dog owners are the most disrespectful.... They treat the world like it's their dog's personal park, no consideration for kids, for allergic people, for elderly people, for fearful people... and they insist of being in the right all the times. Some dogs and owners behave exceptional... but the majority are entitled
I DESPISE owners who let their dogs off leash. My apartment complex has a rule that no animal can be outside without a leash, including cats, and who actually obeys it? Owners that have extremely laid back dogs who aren't a danger to anything anyway. Meanwhile, the others are killing stray cats, chasing children and ripping their hoodies off them, and the newest thing, trying to get in people's cars when they pull up, looking for food. About 5 or 6 large dogs. Animal control here is a joke. A horse rider here would likely get pulled off while the horse was mauled.
Excellent well exposed non reactive horse.
1:22 That man is keeping his dog ACTUALLY controlled
The fact that it actually stopped at the sound of its name impressed me.

What a great horse not frightened by anything. You have a well trained gem.
Moron dog owners. They give responsible dog owners like me a bad name.
I cannot believe how many drivers are being patient Especially the two that was going under the bridge the reason why I said that is because I was watching a video the other day and there was this car who drove by a horse And spooked the horse because he was speeding. The horse freaked out turned around and could have ditched the rider the person that was leading him or her. I know it's very I know it's very responsible of the dog owners letting the dogs off a leash near your a horse. I was watching this video of this horse and rider that was doing cross country and this dog that got loose and was chasing the horse I said well that dog was really lucky that the horse didn't kick him or her.
Omg your horse is amazing for them to just go by all the traffic and not even care
Nottingham? Looks like top valley
South Wales
I love the fact you gave a little wave of thanks to all the cars that slowed down/stopped 😊
I find these videos so peaceful to watch, minus the dogs of course.
Love the sound of the saddle squeaking ❤️
Are you British?
Welsh.
That many dogs in public and not having control of them is criminal. And they're all off leashes except for the little one.
Where was this filmed
That’s many riders greatest fear, loose dogs that are not trained to recall…very dangerous.
ollie is the best boy. you hacked past my house! it so fun to see other horses out and about where i live :)
@@santapaws8439 love to hear that people like to see the horses! I’m usually greeted with smiles when I ride around the village which is always nice 😊
The dog owners were definitely in the wrong but at least their dog was good enough to come back when they called it . Could have been a lot worse. Glad ur both okay tho
That little sausage dog in his fast pace afterwards😂 so cute😅
Your horse is a beautiful boy❤
BONNIE??? I MET THAT DOG A FEW WEEKS AGO HE WAS BARKING AT THE CAR AND THEY CALLED HIM IN SAME STREET MY DAD DELIVERED THERE
People and their bloody dogs no brains ❤
When will you start uploading again over here? I really miss your videos ! ❤
@@ez.equestrian I’m hoping to start uploading next month once I finish my degree. I will have more time then. Thanks for being patient and sticking around!
@@thatolliepony ok! Good luck
Dogs with horses😒😮💨
What’s that blue thing on its face
@@DogElastic37 it’s called a fly veil, it helps keeps the midges and flys from going into their ears and bothering them
@@thatolliepony ah ok
This POV is amazing, I feel like I'm riding right there with you! Beautiful scenery! <3
I love you video, love being there watching you both on your adventure. Both of you are magnificent 💕 l love you gentleness, your horses confidence and both of you are very much enjoying each other ❤ great video.
I have a question. In england is a horse trail called a bridleway? Thanks.
@@petervankauwenbergh3375 yes they are called bridle ways. We have a lack of them where I live now because scrambler bikes ruin them or they’re too overgrown to ride through, which sadly pushes us to have to ride on the roads
Ollie is magnificent. If you own a dog you should have good control on him or her.
Ooh the sounds of nature and the squeak of leather harness - music to my ears. I can almost smell sweaty horse 😂
Nesting skylarks
This dog worshipping society needs to wake up. Dogs such problem machines!
Thank you for giving me the sensation of riding again after 15+ years ♥ Ollie is a very steady horse, that combined with the scenery seems perfect (Holland is just flat nothing)
I love your hacking videos. My mare is too nervous to go out but I missing hacking so much. Thank you for sharing your lovely rides with us 🥰
Such a well-trained horse. Love the different gaits/terrains and hearing those hooves on pavement :)
I hope to get a horse in the future I’m getting research done but what if your horse poops/pees on the road? Is there any laws or is it ok?
0:29 Horsey speed bump.
that women at the beginning just flung her car door wide open and didn't even bother to check if another car was coming. thats how doors get torn off lol silly women
Asking for trouble riding in the streets,
The rocks on the track look very large with sharp angles. No wonder the horse is dragging his feet the way along it and keeps veering off to the side
my horse has a full set of shoes and is used to all types of terrain. He is fun and forward and loves his job. He hates schooling in an arena, so I can assure you he is perfectly happy with pricked ears.
he is a horse not a shopping trolley 😂
You are so lucky to have such a sensible, stable horse as that. He's a gem. You can't put a price on a steady disposition like that. Enjoyed your ride. Thank you both.
The woman scolding the guy for dropping the leash and letting the dog loose was priceless. However, the fact that neither of them thought to apologize was just disgusting. Their dog came in totally aggressive and hard, and they're lucky that horse was extremely sold or things could have ended so much worse. OMG.
At least they first people were trying to get their dog and it was on a leash but may have slipped. Doesn't look like they actually wanted him to roam free. Edit: I'd be scared to death by this bus driving alonside me soooo close. I mean the horse just needs to trip or be scared or anything and the next blink I'd be lying under that bus... I think I could never get used to riding in a village or anything😅 Kudos to you and your horse
Ride a horse in a concrete streets is bad idea not only because is dangerous also is really bad for the horses hoof . 😟
this is very normal in the UK. My horse is 17 years old and has no issues. He loves hacking out and hates riding in circles in an arena.
Skit
I am amazed by the courtesy of the auto/truck drivers. Such a nice ride.
