In stock form the bike is dangerous in my opinion, if you needed to grab the brakes in an emergency you could possibly lose control with the terrible soft front suspension.

Can't seem to find a torque spec for either the upper shock mount bolt, or the two lower link bolts. Anyone have any idea on torque specs for em?

What weight oil did you use.

Nice, I just did the same project with a KLX400SR {got a vid of it on my channel}. 15k miles on it, once I started fixing little stuff I found a lot. Was pissed at first but got thru it, great bikes! I got the petcock, last thing for me to do. Got some D605's Im throwing on tomorrow and Im ready to do lots of rides this fall. And I found a super old graveyard like that also ripping around by Macon Georgia years ago too! 1898 one dated back to.

Finally my YSS Dämpfer Einstellbar MZ456-395TR-10-X Honda Crf 250 L 2013-2014 arrives today and will install it tomorrow. Order from Ebay on 27 April and arrives 9 May 2023. It is very costly EUR 362.54 Shipping EUR 55.8 as it comes from UK. I find it cheaper to import from Thailand as Brunei is only 2 hrs away. Where else UK to Brunei is 14hrs 30min. nice content and easy to understand. Why do you have to change your fork and why do you choose race tech? Thouygh my fork is till good, but I m planning to change it but i m still confuse which brand to choose, as there are many in the market, YSS, Hyper Pro, Ohlin etc?

It’s hard to believe that Honda produce a popular bike with suspension made or rubber bands, the rear was sooooo soft it only stopped when the chain was tight. Fitted a complete YSS shock to the rear and it already feels better, the front is super soft so will do that in the near future.

Is this a 2003 KLX 400E(E for Enduro) That is a nice bike if you have a KLX400E model, an S is nice but a E is kind of rare, considering how many S models are out there. Probably worth more if you ever sell it.

550 performance ECU is the shit! ✅ That out, he optimizes it for 91 octane whether your bike is bone stock or modded he can hook you up. After doing the slip on my bike had a nasty flat spot around 5K RPMs but not after that ECU change and it only took 5 minutes to install it

I own a CRF300L Rally and I weigh 150 lb and you are correct it still bottoms out. Thanks for the review of the shock. I have heard that YSS shock works well. So I am going to do the same as you as soon as I can.

what fork oil weight did you end up using?

on that tube it looks like both sides are the same mine just came in the black plastic one. both ends have holes is there something im missing

Hey I just bought a 2020 Honda crf 250l, and the first mods I want to do is an exhaust with a full yoshi and header, but I’m very curious on what the settings im going to need to run the ejk settings on. I heard straight out the box works but I don’t want to ruin my new bike if it’s to lean or rich

How does the front suspension feel in relation to your yss shock upgrade? Are the balanced? I am looking to do the same front and rear to my 250 rally.

Was it hard to get your klx400r street legal? I just bought one but gotta get signals, brake light switch and a street title for it. Just wondering if i could run all of that stuff off of the stator.

I have the T-Rex Racing bars on my Rally and I was able to get the Flatland Racing skid plate to fit with some trimming underneath. Best of both worlds since I ride in the desert with some big rocks.

Thanks for this video, it helped me on getting the top bolt loosened. For me it was a little disappointment that this only has rebound adjustment and no compression adjustment, but I am installing is currently and might still be enough for me. I have the same YSS part number as you and as information to those are interested in weight saving, stock one is 3700g and YSS is 2800g, so this is helping 900g (~2 pounds) in weight loss.
