We look at how to reduce waste on holiday in Thailand. It's a country where it's easy to get some delicious, affordable food from street sellers and markets. Lol you keep bananas on top of your apples!! Ethylene gas will ripen them far too quickly Before you say but they’re green, saw that, I always eat thdm green cause they act as a prebiotic….. Could be I am wrong and you put them there on purpose…..
Ah yes, they're not usually there long enough to make a difference - we love bananas!
WOW Amazing , Thank you for sharing , Take care 👍👍🥕
So simple! Hope you find it useful
Thanks I will try this tip.
No problem, hope you find it useful
Another way is to peel the carrots before you put them in the fridge they last equally as long and are ready when you want to use them and they don't go slimy.
Thanks for sharing, good to know you've found a method that works for you
Very useful - always listen to your mum!!
Thanks Elsie, glad it was useful. I've certainly got a few tips from my Mum, so I'll try and share a few more....
I keep 5KG of potatoes in a box, one level of potatoes, one sheet of folded up newspaper, next single level of potatoes, and covered by another sheet of folded up newspaper, etc. Then close the lid and put the rest of the newspaper on it to keep it shut. This way, my potatoes last 10 weeks+, which is how long it takes me to eat 5KG - and of course, a 5KG bag of potatoes works out cheaper! If you use dry soil instead of newspaper, potatoes can last 6 months! But I don't need to go that far! Love the carrot idea, of course!
Excellent, thanks for sharing! I did use most sand before for home-grown carrots, and that worked quite well but was inconvenient as I'd stored them in my shed. I haven't tried this idea for potatoes before, so I'll give it a go...
Nice one, Thank you.
Thanks for letting me know, much appreciated
In two minds about getting an EV as cannot home charge as live in a tower block. Been in touch with the local councillor to see what Manchester City Council are planning to do to install all more EV charging options, seems there is suppose to be an old petrol station a mile away with planning permission for conversion to an an EV station. Otherwise the options in North Manchester are limited, all the investment has been in the more affluent South Manchester.
I would say try not to let it put you off, as there are lots of public charging options available. It does involve more time as you won't always be visiting a destination where you can charge whilst you do something else. Often I'd make trips to charge up, and nothing else. But I used that time to catch up on reading, doing some work on my laptop etc. Good luck with whatever you chose to do...
Just wondering about the smell not lasting being an issue. Isn't this supposed to kill the bacteria that makes your sweat smell in the first place? Was it not doing the job? I wasn't clear why 4 pts instead of 5 in the sport category unless it wasn't. If it was, then surely it doesn't matter if you can't smell it later on. As long as YOU didn't smell it did what it's supposed to. Obviously the liquid aspect of sweating isn't desirable though.
Hi Nic, thanks for watching and commenting, it's appreciated. The smell rating is an estimate of how long I can smell a nice scent given off by the deo. Some of them I can smell throughout the day, some really don't have longevity. It's just a record of that, seeing as some of the deos have lovely scents it's nice if they are still noticeable later in the day. For the sports rating, I try and gauge over repeated use whether I notice if I'm particularly smelly after strenuous exercise or whether it's done a good job of combating that, compared to others. As with all of the ratings, it's subjective, and just my view, but hopefully it helps create a comparison between different deodorants I've tried, which may help people select a deo for them to to try, and hopefully like!
I’ve tried a number of natural deodorants and I’m sticking with Fussy. Excellent value for money👍
Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad to hear you've found the one that works for you. Which others did you try beforehand?
Wild came close but Fussy clinched it.
Thank you Guy Goes Green I really appreciate your time in making this very helpful video. I have got an appointment to install both electric and gas upgrade smart meters and I was very worried and confused as to what was going to happen. Your presentation has helped me immensely in understanding the procedure. Thumbs up to you mate. Regards Vic👍
Many thanks for letting me know Vic, glad to see that it was useful. It's exactly why I recorded it - I had no idea what would happen, and thought it may be useful for others.
No choice now lol 🤣🤣 halogen/fluorescent lamps are being phased out in the UK and EU! Lots of work for me though as an electrician 😊
Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad to hear business is good!
Good day, nice vid. Out in sakon nahkon we get 300 baht a kg for stripped copper and 2 baht for the plastic cover. Now if you sell the wire as is they will pay you 10 baht a kilo. Next time get yourself a sturdy piece of junk wood. Drill different sizes and screw a screw in the side to each hole(which will be adjustable). Strip away, with speed and ease.
Many thanks for watching and commenting Mike, glad you enjoyed. Really great piece of advice there, thanks for sharing!
if there's a problem with the emmc the car doesn't move
Not a great experience if you need to use the car!
Thanks for your review of Fussy. I have just received my dispenser and first insert. Smells good and looking forward to using it. I have a question, have you considered reducing plastic waste when shaving? I see that you have a beard but it is trimmed. I use double edged blades with a traditional DE razor. I pair this with a brush and a refillable pot of shaving soap made from natural products in the UK. Blades cost around £10 for 100 blades and they typically come in paper and cardboard packaging. I can get five to seven shaves per blade. Compared to multi-blade blades marketed by the major brands DE blade shaving is really eco friendly apart from letting the beard grow without trimming it.
Hi, glad you found the review useful. Hopefully you'll find it's the right deo for you. Appreciate you taking the time to leave me your thoughts about shaving. I usually use an electric razor to trim every week or so. I have sensitive skin so don't have a clean shave, it's usually 1 or 2mm, hence using the adjustable razor. I do, however, need to wet shave when I travel, as I want to minimise the weight of what I take with me. I will perhaps look at that when I travel next month. Sounds like you've got a good setup there though, with great value for the bulk blade purchase, and the natural shaving soap. If you can share the names of the products I'll take a look...
I currently have this issue in both of my passenger side doors…
Good luck getting it resolved, hopefully you'll get a result quicker than I did. Mine are fine now the whole door handle units were switched to new ones.
5000 miles free using pod point at Tesco I now have a Kona 2000 miles so far free I've been from Yorkshire to the south coast Yorkshire to South Wales Skegness and Newcastle all for free I never pay to charge
Nice! I wonder how long they'll keep it free for. They're not free near me, but great opportunity for you. Happy driving....
They take 40 £ straight away
Ah yes, the holding deposit. Such a pain if you're having issues with chargers. In the past I've had that on ionity chargers - issues connecting and each time it was taking a holding deposit that took days to release. Not impressed.
My American friend was hiring a car for a tour of Scotland and was encouraged to take electric........ Never again as she had trouble finding chargers, finding working chargers, waiting in line for chargers, range anxiety as well as several different payment methods which makes it more awkward for foreigners. Our local area has only10 chargers split between two service stations, two at a football ground carpark and two on a main road for some reason. If the government is seriously considering electric charging for everyone they're going have to encourage a lot more installations.
There are a lot of new chargers rolling out all the time, but it doesn't help that there's not consistency of ease of use, payment methods etc. Plus of course, ensuring there's sufficient supply to cope with peaks in demand and remote locations. We'll get there, but it takes time.
Have you managed to fix this now? As ive got the same issue with mine?
They are fixed now, but did require a few visits from Tesla mobile techs. I ended up having replacements for driver and passenger front door handles. Each cost about £270 to replace. No issues since. I believe the mechanism inside is different on the newer handle versions, so hopefully won't be an issue now.
All the women will be going crazy
My deodorant brings all the girls to the yard...
Love the Hippo,great vid
Many thanks for watching and commenting, appreciate it!
Eight months in my '23 Bolt EUV using only fast charging isn't a big deal Of course I have less than a thousand miles on the odometer
Thanks for watching and commenting, it's appreciated. Enjoy the Bolt, I'm sure it's fun!
It's disappointing that there were so many provisos, it makes me question why. I like the product, though I find conventional anti perspirant deodorant is more comfortable in the summer as it actually reduces sweating. I'm considering going back to that for now, and using Fussy from autumn through to spring. I agree regarding how it's unstable it is standing up, it needs to have a flat bottom. I'm finding a refill lasts for months, much longer than in the reviews I've seen, and I think I'm using a reasonable amount. I'm using the Cotton Fresh scent, and as others have said I find it a bit musty, I wouldn't buy that one again. I think Tropic Tonic is much nicer, it's lovely and zingy and fresh.
Thanks for adding your thoughts, it's much appreciated. Interesting to read about your switch back to anti-perspirant for summer, certainly makes sense. I'm testing a different brand at the moment in very warm weather and it's really not a great experience considering the amount of sweat! The Tropic Tonic sounds nice, it's quite easy to imagine that one from the description. I'm sure it's invigorating!
Its really called the Neta V (as Volvo) , not Neta 5
Thanks for the tip, much appreciated
So bloody expensive! It's cheaper to use a Tesla supercharger than these slow charging things. More expensive than petrol.
They do appear to be disproportionately expensive for the speed of charge.
I’ve using this deodorant for a couple of weeks now. This will probably be my go-to deodorant from now on. First the negative aspects: I fully agree with you on the tube, it’s sturdy and it’s difficult to get out. There is an application tutorial on YT by Ben and Anna and I highly recommend everyone to watch it before using it. It’s pretty sticky and takes a little more time to dry. So why do I like it ? My armpits aren’t smelly a day after using it. Usually when I wake up and I smell my armpits, it’s stinky. After using this, it doesn’t stink anymore. With other deodorants, I still feel a little bit of residue a day after. This does not. So it doesn’t feel like you’re putting another layer on the previous layer. These were my two major concerns with other deodorants, hence why I rate this Ben and Anna high.
Thanks for sharing the application tutorial video, great recommendation. Glad to know that the deodorant works well for you, appreciate you letting me know
Wow, you're taking almost scientific approach to the testing! Thanks 4 the video!
Thank you for the kind words, it's much appreciated. I've reviewed many, many deodorants now, so am in my groove with the process now!
Guy Goes Green, amazing content keep it up dude
Many thanks, appreciate the kind words
Meters are mostly fitted in a cupboard, never seen then fitted in kitchen cupboards under a work top. Wasted so much time, I wanted to know if the old meter was taken out and replaced with the new electric done. Did engineer do a neat job, leave tidy, or would new decorating be needed?
1) Neat Job: Not really 2) Leave Tidy: Yes 3) Decorating: It was in a cupboard. I wasn't fussed about it..
I give it to someone who likes to get it. Keep it separated in bags. They no need to give me money for it. They can go to the recycle shops and get some money for it.nice job. And learned some things.actually it’s not bad the money.
Thank you for watching and commenting. That's great that you share with someone and they can benefit from it. It's a great way to get some extra money, I wish they did it here in the UK!
The recycling of plastic has been one gigantic delay tactic waste of time fraud, overall. The industry knew it. But pushed it as a consumer based action in order to avoid any loss of profitability or inhibition in the constant waste machine known as capitalism. It doesn't matter what people say about how market economics has increased productivity or raised standard of living. It's all done in an unsustainable and irrational way. The system will kill us all. Actually, correct that: the system is killing us all right now.
And when plastic was first invented, there was no thought given to what happens after use. It was all about the money...
@@GuyGoesGreen That seems to be correct Sir!
Thanks for watching folks. If you are visiting Korat in Thailand, you can find Somanee Recycle (ศรมณีรีไซเคิล) at maps.app.goo.gl/QAf37WSKoua3uv9q6 W2QM+H93, Suranari, Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima 30000, Thailand Do mention that you saw them here! So, do you have a paid-for recycling scheme near you?
Always good to see more real life videos like this. Honestly don't think I would have jumped to an EV without lamppost charging about 20 metres from my house. I want as many people as possible to be able to access it too - at least with the hope of lower prices from the economy of scale. Supermarket chargers have been good help too, while feeling quite efficient use of time while I shop.
Many thanks for watching and commenting. Sounds like you've got a great local setup with the lamppost charging available.
Love this format! Thank you
Glad you found it useful Jenni. Appreciate you taking the time to comment. There are plenty more deodorant reviews on my channel, if you're on the lookout for a change...
The main point will be "if you can not have home charge or a work charge, think twice and then again"! Thank yo for your experience share. I live in flat without any chance of home charge now or in the future and no permanent work place which allow for charge at work. This putting me off any BEV reality for two Years now and most likely will end up with an Euro 7 petrol ICE next Year when comes in power.
Absolutely, so long as someone does their research and work out if it will fit their lifestyle and habits, it's fine. You've done that research, so can be comfortable with your choice. I'm just bringing to a close over 3 years of solely public charging, and it's largely been fine for me. It's enabled me to follow my desire to drive an electric car, so I've been happy to make the adjustments to my schedule - taking time out to charge up, but finding things to do whilst charging (reading, taking my laptop to do some work etc).
Glad you see the benefit of using destination chargers to top up as you go about your day, it is a pity most are pushing for more ultra rapid chargers even if they are like weeds, appearing in some unwanted places that are herder to maintain rather than being strategically placed hubs with multiple chargers. Tesla can do it with a considered, smaller and well maintained charging network so it isn't hard. The times an app has shown a publicly accessible charger which isn't, behind locked gates or for customers/guests only pushes up the amount that can be publicised, but in realty there aren't anywhere near as many, and a lot of those you can access are badly maintained. I have checked out your spreadsheet and see that you have been charging at a lot at 79p Osprey chargers, it would be interesting to have an update to say how you are doing now, is it still cheaper to run an electric car?
Absolutely, destination chargers can really help me out by giving me enough to carry on for a couple more days with small journeys. I regularly have meetings in town less than 2 miles away from home. I can make use of a Connected Kerb 7kW charge point to add in 5-10kW depending on the meeting length - that's enough for 12-24 miles, so ample for the small journeys I'll be doing. I've been using the Osprey chargers locally for a while now because the are 100% reliable (for me) and there's almost always an available bay to use. However, the cost does mean that I've been pretty much running at close to 40p per mile when using those. I will certainly do an update, thanks for the suggestion. It's appropriate timing as I've just been able to move to a new house which has its own parking, so will soon be able to install a charge point. It will bring to a close just over 3 years of solely public charging.
thanks good review ❤
Thanks for watching and commenting, it's appreciated

waste of money..over priced ..for therre 18.99 box i chould fill it to the brim for less then 18.99 an all you get is the box about 15% full
I think the reasoning behind that is the same size boxes are used for the different types of fruit and veg boxes. Some fill up a lot more of the space, some have room inside. The consistent box size helps with efficient loading of the delivery vans, and production of the boxes in the first instance (I believe). But yes, the quantity of supply can be variable. But they do at least notify in advance the quantity of produce supplied, so you can make an informed choice before selecting that box or skipping for a future one. For me, it's a good concept that's great if someone wants to pay a premium for the idea of supporting non-standard fruit & veg. But it's not going to be a route for anyone who's after value produce, unfortunately. Good that you gave it a try, and decided it's not for you :)
This was my experience when I had an onto car for a year, but since the network has changed. For example Folkestone now has 6 chargers. There is better reliability too. But why this guy bought an EV is beyond me. He really wants a Tesla.
There are certainly a few in the area now, and if you travel towards Dover you'll find the EV Power charging station at the BP garage, which has multiple bays.
By now, I think I would have found a local with a 7kW charger or even someone where I could use a ‘granny’ charger. Last time I charged away from home I used the granny charger overnight. I paid the home-owner handsomely over his costs (about 50p/kWh) so not much cheaper than stopping at a supercharger - but convenient as I didn’t need to spend time as a charging station.
Thanks for sharing your experience, great that you were able to get a consistent source of charge. Unfortunately the nearest slow charger is just over a mile from my house, so not possible for a regular charge once home. But certainly worth looking out for, especially from a service like co-charger.com who provide a service for homes with chargers to sublet them out.
There is also ‘joosup’ - there is a very recent video, on the whole experience, by Andrew Till. Likely some more. My ‘granny charger’ was used at the home where I was visiting, but it wouldn’t stop me asking around if I was stuck. I might even consider renting out my 7kW home charger in the future. One place, we used to stay, would not let me charge (car was parked on her drive) as she thought BEVs burst into flames while charging. Others, staying at the same house, parked on the drive opposite, so a quick swap of parking spaces might well have got me an overnight charge. Changed circumstances means the opportunity won’t arise again, unfortunately.
This review and ranking system is perfection, it's rare I actually go to a review and end up knowing which product I'm buying without doing so much external research, thank you so much
Thank you again for watching and commenting, it's really appreciated. I hope you find a deodorant that suits your needs :)
This is a really really solid review, went into perfect depth with great data to back it up, often times most review channels work to fast, but thanks for the realism approach, great stuff
Many thanks for watching and commenting. I'm glad you like the approach. I try and give a honest look at how I find the deodorants. The consistent approach (I think) helps viewers assess deodorants based on their view of others I may have rated. So I'm glad to hear you approve! Really appreciate the feedback...
Interesting, with 3G being phased out here in AU mid this year, I'm looking at options to see if my MCU1 can be upgraded to 4G. Tesla AU can only offer a $3600 MCU2 upgrade, they stated the 4G upgrade is only available in the US. I reckon this is rubbish especially now that I can see the 4G upgrade is available in the UK.
Oh yes, most definitely available here in the UK! I certainly couldn't justify upgrading to MCU2 - way too expensive for me!
PS thanks for the calculation website
No problem, hope it was useful
Our 3 bathrooms have beautiful fixtures, but they use the halogen double end bulbs (16 bulbs total). Guests are forever leaving the room and forgetting to turn them off. I’ll come home to an empty house and find them on!$!$!$. Only downside of our gradual whole house conversion has been not being able to dim our recessed ceiling lights in the kitchen.
I feel your pain with the lights being left on! Hope your house conversion is going well. It's a shame not being able to dim the kitchen lights. Sometimes you need bright light, but a lot of the time it's way too harsh for my eyes, I need a more relaxed lighting.
