I did some research. So, the reason why Gunvolt is a dog in GV3 is because it's a reference to Japanese mythology: a Raiju. The Raiju is the companion of the Raijin, the Shinto god of lightning, and is composed of or wrapped in lightning. The Raiju can take form of a white-blue dog or wolf. I still don't understand why Gunvolt is still considered a "Primal Dragon," but I guess Inti Creates wanted to maintain Gunvolt's dragon and Copen's tiger motif. 🤷

Fun fact for those who don't know yet: If you have the GV? Image Pulse (the one that turns Gunvolt into an even cuter puppy version of Dogvolt) equipped for the final battle, you'll see the original version of the true ending, with none of the new additions. Very weird way of preserving the original content, but hey, secrets are cool to find.

Hmm i wonder what happened to gv after i watch the walkthroughs about the whole gunvolt but he might been sented to ix universe where he helped copen or maybe i gonna make an au where gunvolt was passed out after he survived but later he was walking to the city alone as he changed his identity and try to live a normal life and pretend that nothing happens

Its possible that "Put it off, buy time, and cooperate with everyone to fix the problem", "THIS world's future.....I leave it to you all" , and "It sure would be nice to meet you all again" these two infer that gunvolt is probably leaving the responsibility of saving this world and never seeing them again. My theory is that with the line "oversurge, azure striker with astral order! reverse our inescapable fate !" there is a possibility.....that gunvolt will reverse the flow of time or hop to another world to fix that world or timeline. Its further supported by GV voicelines saying he regrets what he did when he dealt with sumeragi. What do you think, Wouldnt this be a perfect sequel ? I would go mad for this.

I see... so Gunvolt decides to go back to the beginning of his life in order to muster the courage to let himself be killed by Kirin and save the world. Tragic, but beautiful.

I'm too stupid for this game series' mechanics as to unlock the true ending. But Inti sure loves their dramatic endings, especially with G.V. Gunvolt 1 so far still had the nicest ending, things turned darker and darker from here on out.
