Now that the movie is out and we will never know the answer ever and I just have to be ok about it I choose to live on believing Scare Bear is Dean. I think it’s like a paradox where Dean guilt ridden lives on in his world, however in a time travel adventure with Billy and Doc he gets accidentally flung into the past. Still guilt ridden in the past he sees that he has a chance to change the future. But he has to wait in order to reach the present and save Hank. So Dean just goes to check on all the things he had questions about in his life like what was Prof Impossible up to when he was an intern and what a doom factory party was like. Eventually Dean is able to reach an injured and freezing Hank, and he knows what to do. Dean saves his brother by showing him is biggest shame and regret. Think about it, doc and Billy clearly don’t know how to use the Time Machine as they are confused but not surprised at what they see. Or since this all is never going to be resolved I’m just crazy. Those movie predictions were insane.

I really think that the scare Bear after watching all of this is actually Captain Sunshine. He cares for Hank, or at least Hank's shape, and would love to drive a romantic wedge so as to maybe force him back into his wardship.

Okay so Hank turned into Scare Bear to go to the city and apply for a position with Phantom Limbs crew while Dean is interning in the same office while at the same time Hank was trying to solve the mystery of who Dermot's father was while also having sex for the first time with Dermot's sister/mother? There's just no way that scarebear would be introduced in the time travel episode with no further context, and not be explained in the movie, without the secret 'backstory' of how he showed up somehow being related to time travel. Never heard of 'second brock' theory but MAN that would be some stuff. Whoever it is, whoever brought hank to deans bedroom, would have had to have KNOWN that they were cheating at that exact moment. No chance it's anyone but 1. Second Brock, or Brock with time travel. Not likely. 2. Dean feeling guilty and going back in time to undo his mistakes. This checks out with auditioning at the revenge society- maybe dean historically went in to audition next and he became scare bear? 3. It can't be Hank going back in time. If Hank went back in time, that would be a paradox- he would have died the very first time in the snowbank. 4. Jared, Myra, or someone who might have a romantic reason to be stalking either serena or the venture bros. At first I thought it might've been one of wide whales men, but that would've come up by the time he finished his character arc. Nothing there really makes sense. Jared is too goofy, Myra is too crazy, I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head. That really leaves 3 or 4 options but none of them are good. I thought it might've been Brick Frog's alter ego or something considering he's also in the same episode, but the movie included him and he... definitely wasn't scarebear. Honestly I think it's more likely to be the nozzle than anyone else besides brock (somehow) or dean. Period.

It's Jared. Under-appreciated super hero. Doesn't seem to have an arch of any sort. Saves people, but they don't ever seem to appreciate his efforts. So he breaks bad. He comes up with an alter-ego where he can menace people instead. Scare Bear doesn't hurt people, just terrifies them. He also would know that Dean was fucking Sirena back at the dorm. He has expressed deep-seated feelings for Sirena, so to bring her boyfriend to watch her cheat on him is *chefs kiss* It's Jared.

The brock theroy would make sense if you look at the failed versions of the hank and dean clones it could just be a failed brock but i know it aint

This is out there but could it be Batman moonlighting (daylighting? Can Batman moonlight?) as an anti hero like The Punisher to get around his no-killing rule? The symbol of Batman is still protected if it’s just Bruce Wayne in a bear suit blowing off steam after all. He would’ve known where Dean’s dorm was because he’s a genius detective and Hank would unknowingly get to meet his hero while to the bat he’s just saving one of the Venture kids from a blizzard because it’s the right thing to do lol. In the series, they introduced the idea that time travel is possible, my theoryis that Dean from a future where he was never caught came back in time to expose himself to Hank because in his original timeline there relationship was never repaired because of how long he kept the secret

He is hank. Hes not “carrying” hank getting the chips. Hank is just standing there bleeding, the weird/surreal point of the chip scene was to let you know its hank. Its like Fight Club, hank thinks its someone else, but scare bear knows he is hank
