Tom Baron doesn’t have time to debate semantics, though; he’s dangerously late for work - and he hasn’t even started his big Project AGER pitch. …Or is that just what they want him to think?

Hey Adam! I am seriously so happy to be a part of this project, and based on the clips you shared, this is going to be such a good game. Everything sounds so cohesive, and the other voice talent sound incredible. It's amazing to see the amount of passion and work you've put into this and I absolutely cannot wait to play the whole game.
Thanks dude! Your voice set the tone… literally.
great job bud!
This is a great introduction course to AC!
Thank you so much for this thorough overview. It was quite accessible and clear, although as another commenter mentioned there were a few moments where a complete beginner like me had to go elsewhere to figure out what to do (installing git for the first time, setting the git path so I could set up my user name and user email, and changing the unity project location to the repository file). I appreciate all your effort on this.
Looks kinda like a cress between Monkey island and phantasmagoria 2!
i didnt hear you talk about it but I hope you normalised it all to the same volume level. another thing that could help make life easier, when you edit a wav in audacity, create a label (like ctrl-b or something) on the chunk you want, give it your id, then you can easily always get back to that and know this was the take you exported..
can you do a video about "things you would do differently if you would start again"?
Good idea!
As someone who has played a ton of adventure games since the mid 90s, the voice acting clips you played sound pretty solid. Wishlisted
What brought you to Brazil for a travel?
Oh it was European travel - that was just stock footage!
Recognized that wind tail from a Brazilian company and got curious 😊. Looking forward for the game. Cheers
Love this devlog, been involved in game dev for many years in one form or another. Never gone out on my own. Always thought about it. The voice acting in this sounds amazing, well done to you and all the actors involved. Can't wait to buy this.
I noticed Clarissa at 15:29 has 6 fingers. Great work on the voices, they sound great. No need to apologize at the beginning of each video, I am sure everyone in here is just glad to see you and to know this project is still alive and kicking.
She sure does!
Nitpick: the fading in of subtitle text is strange. I'd rather it flashes in immediately. Amazing progress btw!
You will have two baby’s now!
It will be an instant classic! I cannot wait to play it….
everything was ok until i saw 15:42 i head spun a bit haha. wtf did he just do? ps: was a gesture of being mad, surprissed , sad or just show off his gymnastic skills I dont know. But I think it needs a bit of correction on the amination. Voice part is A-ok! pps: the dialogues are pretty "meh". but will still purchase it cuz m an adv game fan ;)
I would have loved to do a voice, I guess I missed the call, however I'm not a pro voice actor or anything just some random dude in the US but I would have done it for free. :-)
There's a slighter faster version how to process with Audacity. Using labels. You simple select the voice clip , press CTRL + B, label its name and repeat the process all the clips at once along the voice clip. When done pressing CTRL + SHIFT + L (Export Multiple) and it will export all the clips at once, Done!. Faster and nice workflow in my opinion. Works for me. Thanks for sharing!
but then he have to rename every line again, no?
great vid and game looks awesome, wishlisted and subbed, keep it up!!
I’m still very grateful to be a part of this game. I can’t wait to see it all come to fruition! And best of luck with your newborn!
Great video and insight as always! If you need help localizing the text in the game to German (Germans love their point and click adventures!), shoot me a message. Cheers!
These clips sound great. Really looking forward to release!
Incredibly grateful to be a part of this game. From the moment I saw the casting call I knew it was gonna be a fun time. Even the humor added in the casting call was enough for me to audition. Thank you for trusting me to voice Marcus and Winston. Can't wait to play the full release.
This is awesome, but I gotta say I did a double take on the "fun clips" where the bartender says "What are you in the mood for" and there's a huge sign that says "cock"! Not throwing shade, just caught me off guard! LOL!
i just checked your channel yesterday wondering what was going on with the game, then bam u release an update! lol wow the voices are fantastic. your devlogs are great I hope you do another game in the future after this one.
What's with the commie insert?
Great to see an update. Good luck with the next steps. Are the beta testers going to stream some of the content for exposure? Possibly like a demo of say the first chapter?
I think it'll be more under wraps. Mostly so people don't see how bug-addled it is.
Keep on trucking. Your dedication to the game is inspiring.
wonderful results!! Can't wait to play your game
Great work dude! Its great to see the project come together!
Notify some TH-camrs like YakWaxLips when you make the release, so it gets some attention...
Why is Herman Toothrot in the Biggleboss library
It's close without being so close that I get sued. 👀
the voices sound great.. not a big fan of steam, but if it's sold there I would buy it
wow, these voices absolutely worth it! Well Done, everyone!
No matter when you release, will make sure to support you and buy the game. Always makes my day when a new dev log is posted
You don't need to apologize for paying what you can. People _wanted_ to work on this and if anyone suggests that you "shouldn't have made it then," he would have to also tell all those people who sent in auditions that they shouldn't be allowed to do voice work for you. Eff 'em, you did what you could in the most ethical way you could, to create something you think people will enjoy. If someone has a problem with that, eff 'em.
Tell that to the commies.
@@TH-camPremiumMem I try, but they don't know how money works.
why not use godot? tis free
Bit late now my dude. 😂
It doesn’t support adventure creator. The earlier dev logs in this series explain that not having to code was a large factor in the decision. Worth a watch if you enjoyed this one!
Juicy details. Game devs have the best stories in their logs.
I had a very similar issue with the Unity Hub after not logging in for a few months. I think the most terrifying thing about gamedev in unity is taking a break and then trying to get back into it :) I'm so glad you are in the final stretch on the project befor the baby arrives because time will be so precious once you're a propper poppa. It's the most wonderful time in life but so paramount that it derails everything else.
Thanks dude!
"Unity wasn't even recognizing that I'd ever built a game", what a phrase for a devlog 🤣I'm so happy for you three 💓
17:00 the nice hat line reminds that people have often complemented my sunglasses which I have found on the ground lol Also how much are you thinking of charging the game? How long is the game to play?
Cost tbc... But maybe around £12/$14? Not sure on the length until I do some proper user testing, but I'm hoping 6+ hours.
@@pcdawesome, thanks 👍
Viel zu Unübersichtlich zu viele Menü, würde ich auf keinen Fall nutzen wollen.
My favorite late-game puzzles are the ones that call back to earlier points in the adventure and make the player realize how far they've come. The submachine series is the best example I can think of currently but I'm sure there are plenty others out there.
Aside from having the player revisit old ideas, upping the stakes story-wise is another very good way of delivering finality and tension without overly challenging puzzles. Japanese visual novels and adventure games like Professor Layton, Zero Escape and Your Turn to Die accomplish this fairly well.
Hi, anything new?
New video just landed!
Hey, thanks a lot for your tutorials, i' ve just discovered them. What software are you using for the documents?
LucidChart for the puzzle dependency charts.
Is there a Discord group for Point and Click Devs? Just starting out, so any support group would be group 😂
the video seems interesting but the sound quality aahagahgh I can't hear what you're saying :(
I was a teenager in the 90's. I miss old school Lucas Arts. They had more than just Star Wars. And the Star Wars games were excellent. Like Dark Forces and TIE Fighter.
Still very helpful, thanks!!
