We've meal planned most if our marriage, too expensive not to. However it wasn't always easy to. Years ago we tried several different "free" apps for meal prep but none were quite right, we then looked into a paid app and found Paprika. We love it. You can download your recipes, use those recipes to make your shopping lists, you can customise for shopping other than the grocery store, i can build menus, like holiday meals, i can and have built "recipes" that are the stuff you get every week and sometimes forget, like bread, milk, oatmeal etc. We have it on a laptop, both phones and a tablet we use inthe kitchen, its our "cookbook". And we never "forget" the shopping list anymore because at least 1, or both have our phones on us. And its easy for us to add to the list even after the other has left to go shopping, I update it usually before going into the store. It's definitely not perfect but its really close. We usually get the newest pd version during black friday/cyber monday sales, we have only purchased a newer version 1 time because it offered sone additional stuff we wanted, and that was about 4 yrs ago, we do look prior to cyber monday. I think you get 1 year of free updates when you purchase. I would recommend the laptop and a phone minimum, the laptop makes some stuff a lot easier to do. And as you puck stuff up you can check it off the list, and either have it then hidden or greyed out, on my version anyway. I think we've had it now for at least 10 years but probably a little bit longer. I think we got it before our oldest graduated and that was in 09,

Good morning! This was a terrific video. I loved getting to hear how your day goes. I just started homeschooling my 10 year old this year and it's been chaotic lol. I think I fell into the trap of over scheduling and being busy. I much prefer the idea of slow living but haven't quite achieved. I've only been a mom for a year and worked full time up until June. I feel like I have no idea what I am doing. Lol I also struggle with the concept of meal planning. I downloaded an app called plan to eat. Idk how I feel about it because you have to pay to use it. But it let's your import online recipes and creates grocery lists. And it stores the recipes so you can organize them on a calendar. Lol still haven't figured out how to meal plan but thought I'd mention it to you! Thank you so so much for posting. 😊

Love the look you came up with! Packaging for this palette plus there being a matte black (I just don’t use one often) in it was why I never picked it up but the color story is pretty. Hope you reach your goal soon!! I never followed BH cosmetics closely so I had never heard about that collab but I looked it up - I’m generally a “you do you” type of person but I really hate the sexualization of makeup, especially when it’s often tied with the context of childlike behavior, it’s so gross to me. it’s one of the reasons I’ve moved away from too faced products & NARS.

I have no idea if that is true however, I will try them out when their new makeup releases. The At Forest Sight is a really lovely color story. Yep! I live in Brooklyn, NY and the leaves change and I love it. Beauty Bay retires palettes too quickly! They have been asked to bring back Wilderness but they won’t 😔 I would get it! I love the Muse palette! I will pull it out for my October shop my stash. I also don’t wear makeup or nail polish seasonally but I love seeing people put fall palettes and nail polish racks together! I would add Nomad’s Hudson Valley; Adept Cosmetics Heather Austin palette; Juvia’s Place’s The Nomad, The Warrior, The Coffee Shop and The Chocolate palettes; the Huda Nude 9 pan in Rich, Beauty Bay Earthy and a few more I can’t think of. I really enjoyed this video 💃🏿

It is fascinating how video titles influence TH-cam's recommendations. Usually, I watch your video and the recs are other makeup tutorials. This time, most recs were for MommyVlogs, but there were also a bunch about energy healing and astrology!

I love how you described my favorite murky, grungy greens as grounded. What a lovely description 💚 It is very important to spend time by yourself to recharge🌸 Oh that story about the woman who put all her life into her children and then was lost when they moved on, was so sad. I hope she found more meaning later on. I am so happy that you have found time during the day to get moments to recharge. I think you are doing a great job showing your daughters that it is important and healthy to be your own woman outside of being a mother. I did loose myself rather early in my adult married life. We had our children earlier than planned and lived in an area where we did not have any family. And we only had "work friends ". There wasn't much time to carve out "me" time. We both worked 40 hours and my husband went to night school almost full time, he took 8 to 10 credits a semester. So when he wasn't at work he was at school or doing homework. It took the children being in middle school, husband was done with schooling, and a breakdown to finally figure out i needed a break from pretty much everything, so i joined a gym, Weight Watchers, and took an art class at the local community college. Found my passion for makeup again, i literally bought what looked interesting it and stuffed it in a drawer. Found out i enjoy doing my own nails, much cheaper, and started singing again. Haven't looked back. When my husband starts to ask do you really need to x y z, i remind him that yes i do. You don't want me to loose myself again do you and he will give me the space to do what i need. I also encourage him in his hobbies, I even help when needed, even if i strongly dislike whatever he needs assistance with, I hate gardening and he loves it, he grows salad greens, peppers, and tomatoes in the house and occasionally i need to assist with harvesting, tieing branches up, or just reorganizing where they are. But he loves it and it keeps him happy. So i guess what im trying to say is try not to give up everything you love while raising a family. It can cause you great harm emotionally and physically. Love this topic ❤❤❤❤

When I first saw undergrowth my immediate reaction was I WANT IT because I adore green eyeshadow. However, because I do love green, I own so many green eyeshadows. I have the beautybay earthy & that's just one!

Ace beaute flair is one of my favs of all time & I recently did a look with it! I love that you made this vid, i think it's important to recognize that palettes do have overlap. For instance, the recent cosmic beauty palette, when I saw it I immediately thought of the beauty bay earthy. They're so similar. In fact i have yet to buy a cosmic beauty palette simply because I feel like I already own every single thing they put out even though I think they're entire theme & everything they put out is beautiful!

I love alter egos formula. Definitely a great buy for those on a tight budget that want quality.

I loved this eye look! I agree that using the mauve with these colors was a great idea! The dark outer corner remind me of a storm encroaching on a sunflower field. I bought the ND Yucca palette on an sale this year and used some Ulta points so I got it for $18. Otherwise I would have bought the Alter Ego since a lot of people said it was a great dupe! If they make a dupe of Natasha’s I Need a Warm, I will snag it💃🏿 You looked so beautiful 🌸

I adore Alter Ego palettes! My favorite is the Artemis, which is their ND Metropolis dupe. I highly recommend you taking a look at that one and see if it’s interesting to you. It’s formula is lovely, and the color story is so dynamic. I think the purple/mauve on the lash line really *made * this look! I’m inspired to try something similar! ❤

I love macari. I just got nomad's royal Europe for 25 dollars. I have bought so many palettes off macari. Most at a great price. I love i can get limited edition or discontinued palette.

I find that with the subculture palette if it came out today no one would find fault with the formulations. Everyone has a pressed pigment or 2 or 3 or more in their palettes. Subculture performs just like the newer palettes with pressed pigments. It was just released before everyone was expecting pressed pigments. And pressed pigments do perform differently than regular matte eyeshadow. The only thing is, is it doesn't have any "special shades" so it would be considered n "eh" palette. I've loved mine from day 1. And because of all the controversy about it, the Prism palette that was their holiday release that year was virtually ignored by every content creator back then. And i love the Prism palette as well. They are actually very complementary palettes and work wonderfully together

Im so glad I'm not the only one who buys second hand eyeshadow palettes. Especially when they are at a fraction of the original cost. And i love finding them untouched or barely swatched.

You look stunning ! That purple eye look is gorgeous! The Hey Reindeer was the only Oden’s Eye Christmas palette was thinking of getting! I didn’t want the ones the previous ones. Yes, Sydney Grace is a great brand! I love their gentle color stories. I have their singles and want SEVERAL of their palettes but need to calm down. I need to be more selective and curative. I am thinking of getting the I Need A Nude Alter Ego version. I thoroughly enjoy hearing your thought process on purchasing palettes and just make up in general. You are a gem.

Loved your insight into this. I’m definitely feeling this conflicting pull between “I have so many beautiful things already” and wanting to try all the new things. I’m trying to get better at resisting! I did a good job before 2023 but the last few years, I’ve fallen into the indie beauty space, and it’s been excessive.
