You look stunning ! That purple eye look is gorgeous!
The Hey Reindeer was the only Oden’s Eye Christmas palette was thinking of getting! I didn’t want the ones the previous ones.
Yes, Sydney Grace is a great brand! I love their gentle color stories. I have their singles and want SEVERAL of their palettes but need to calm down. I need to be more selective and curative.
I am thinking of getting the I Need A Nude Alter Ego version.
I thoroughly enjoy hearing your thought process on purchasing palettes and just make up in general. You are a gem.
Thank you very much! I appreciate your feedback. I recommend checking out reviews on the Alter Ego INAN dupe. I don’t know what people think of it in general but I figure that if you’re gonna get a pretty bland color story, it has to be a good formula! 😃
Im so glad I'm not the only one who buys second hand eyeshadow palettes. Especially when they are at a fraction of the original cost. And i love finding them untouched or barely swatched.
Mmm, me too! It’s like finding a little treasure. 🤗
@@shimmersandsilver yes it is. I love when I find a FOMO palette. I just picked up the Oceano palette from Clionadh at half price, and it was the only one I was interested in but wasn't going to pay almost 100 for it. Mine looks like only 2 colors were swatched. I do sanitize them the second I get them with 99% isopropyl alcohol.
Woot! That’s a pricey one! What a fun find. I hope you love it!
@@shimmersandsilver I really like it better in person.
That’s awesome!
Good morning, I hope you have a blessed Monday and a wonderful start to your week..💚
Good morning, and thank you! I hope you do too 🌸
So nice to see all the palettes you have gotten 😊
Thank you! I’m already enjoying them 😃
Love the eyelook. Just beautiful.
Thank you!!
I love macari. I just got nomad's royal Europe for 25 dollars. I have bought so many palettes off macari. Most at a great price. I love i can get limited edition or discontinued palette.
Woot! That’s a good price! I enjoy Mercari too… it’s very easy to use.
Definitely loving the Wildwood palette. It's peaked my interest! But not gonna buy it just yet. I'm so glad you found it on such a good deal!
Right?? I couldn’t resist $5 when I was willing to pay full price.
I find that with the subculture palette if it came out today no one would find fault with the formulations. Everyone has a pressed pigment or 2 or 3 or more in their palettes. Subculture performs just like the newer palettes with pressed pigments. It was just released before everyone was expecting pressed pigments. And pressed pigments do perform differently than regular matte eyeshadow. The only thing is, is it doesn't have any "special shades" so it would be considered n "eh" palette. I've loved mine from day 1. And because of all the controversy about it, the Prism palette that was their holiday release that year was virtually ignored by every content creator back then. And i love the Prism palette as well. They are actually very complementary palettes and work wonderfully together
I had never heard of the Prism palette! I had to look it up. I reminds me a bit of the Sigma x Angela Bright color story, actually.
I never looked into the drama behind Subculture; I always assumed it was a quality issue. Was the controversy over pressed pigment formulation, rather than eyeshadow??
I think that if it were released today, people would not be excited because it seems rather ordinary now compared to our other options. They would have to put some really special shades in there.
@@shimmersandsilver the drama was simply because the pressed pigments performed as pigments, they will and do become powdery as you use them have some fallout etc. And yes compared to today's color stories it is kind of eh. But at the time it released it was everything. I had already started using loose pigments so was a little more use to how they applied so the pressed pigments I thought were exceptional in comparison. And when matched with the Prism palette it has an exceptional color story especially back then. Prism also has a couple of pressed pigments.
Oh, I understand. Thanks for illuminating that for me! I guess that fallout in the pan is not so surprising when you realize it’s just loose powder really tightly packed in there.
