Hello! New subbie on your channel as I watched your video clip from Barry’s channel. Thank you for being a stationery dude but above all a fellow brethren in our Lord Jesus Christ!
AMEN! And thank you so much! Appreciated the support! Barry is such an inspiration! :)
Sounds like a fan is blowing it? Or you have a magnet under the table Or it's just happy at waiting to be used :)
Ahhh dear brother Barry... We wait for more guesses.. Hopefully!😅
@@pen_journal :)) We shall indeed! :)
Wow!! Lovely pen!
Thanks Barry! I'm in the midst of literally selling off these pens, it's really becoming an idolatry in my life! Might as well make a video of it for memory sake!😅
@@pen_journal Indeed! At least you can say you had it for a bit :)
Where can we find the nib?
The nib used in the Pilot Kakuno is the same found in the Metropolitan, Prera, Calligraphy, etc.. Hope that helps! :)
@@pen_journal thank you i wanted to switch my F nib to EF
@@benv4514 No problem! :)
this actually worked! thanks for the tip! i love fountain pens but they always give out shortly after I buy them..
Great to hear! Praise God! :)
Hi. Do you notice the grance f nib thinner than custom 74 f nib. I think it is induced the higher number nib have bigger tins. Is it same at your grance F.
Not really, it's a pretty stiff nib, close and same to the 74. Not much difference in terms of line width. Hope that helps! :)
@@pen_journalDoes it have springness as much pilot custom f as? I press too much and ı tend to ef on pilot pens. Would you tell that is grance f thinner than custom f? I wanna a little bit thinner than custom f. Ef not for me also fine nib bigger. Thank you.
@@VladimirRobespierre I would not say that the Grance is thinner that the 74. And sometimes, line width vary a little bit from pen to pen... You can always fine-tune the nib in terms of wetness to see which is better.
Just seeing this video now in 2024. I’m considering this pen! Thanks for sharing! Yes, Jesus is our wonderful savior! God bless you!
Praise God! Amen! He is the wonderful Saviour! :)
Hello! What are your top 3 favorite fountain pens?? Also, thank you for your content and talking about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on your channel!
Thank you brother! Amen! Praise God!!! My top 3 in no particular order as of now will be: Delta Dolcevita Federico Stantuffo Pilot Kakuno Tuduriya Fountain Pen (It's a small pen maker shop in Japan)
Kind of reminds me of the Filofax system we used decades ago
Yes indeed, but with a different kind of feel in terms of the materials, etc.
Yes! John 3:16! Thank you! I do believe! I am considering this pen - just can’t decide on color! 😊. I want the 823 also - but not sure about piston/vacuum fill pens. Thank you for this review! God bless you!
This pen will be smaller than the 743, if you have smaller hands, either this or the 742 could be more suitable for you sister :)
Thank you
@@neesiecieslak7869 You are most welcome and thanks for watching! :)
Hi. Thanks for the nice video. Got this pen last month. I've been using it daily. All the while, i would flex it (medium strength) to achieve line variations. It delivers flawlessly. But recently, I just noticed that when i wrote, probably due to the way i hold my pen, the right tine works harder (flexes more) than the left. Is this normal? Am i using it wrongly? Over time, will i ruin the nib? Should i change the way i hold my pen?
@@Emri27 It could be the way you hold the pen. But if you are not applying too much pressure and the tines do spring back into the original position, there shouldn’t be too much of a concern in you damaging the tines. Everyone holds their pens in various different angles and positions. As long it’s working for you, in terms of enjoyment of writing, and the pen not getting damaged, you should not concern yourself in changing the way you write. Hope that helps :)
Are you doing a full length video review of this particular pen bud?
No unfortunately... But a few things that stand out to me: It's exactly like the modern Elites (E95s), but the nib is more "softer" in terms of writing experience. Also the Sterling Silver makes a whole world of difference in terms of the look and the luxurious feel of this pen... I would say this pen is one of the more sought after pens among the Pilot enthusiasts. :)
Body❌ Cap✅
I appreciate that you give the Gospel in your videos. Wonderful pen as well!
Praise God!! Thanks for watching brother! :)
Thank you for the content. I'm looking into buying my first bullet journal. I'm torn between the passport and standard size. I like the smaller because i could just stick it in my pocket. But i like the additional writing space in the standard size. I also carry a backpack with me that holds my ipad, two bibles, and my current notebook. I'll be using it not only for personal dailies and work, but also for a prayer journal as well. I guess similar to yours. Which do you prefer between the two?
Hey brother Cooper, thanks for your comments! Love it when a brother or sister in Christ comes along and shares the same passion in using these TNs! My preference, IF JOURNALING, will definitely have a larger real estate space for writing... The passport size is doable, even for journaling, as I have seen some people use it. My tip, will be to focus on your need for the long run. Portability comes into play as well. Weighing the pros and cons, will hopefully help you in making the correct decision! :)
I always have a tiny bottle of water in my desk drawer for just thing reason.
That's a great tip as well! Thanks for watching! :)
Oh no
Thank you so much for sharing, it really worked 😍😍🥹
@@krystalstewart1297 Welcome! Glad it worked! :)
Nice to see you back. You have great organization skills.
Thank you once again for your support Sophia! :)
Is this medium NIB? Did you get it brand new?
It's in Extra Fine (X), but I feel it writes more like a Japanese Medium! I got it second hand. :) Thanks for watching! :)
I have a Pilot Capless and it’s clip is corroding. If I use WD 40, will it remove the rust from my pen without damaging the gold plating?
To be honest I will not recommend it, unless you are desperate, like me. I have tried it on a Delta before because the rust was just so bad. And the WD40 didn't take off the gold plating on the clip and cap bands that were rusted. So it depends on how well the gold is coated on the plating...
Thank you your brother! I really like how you do your set up especially your prayer set up . God bless you
Thank you brother for supporting and watching! God bless you too! :)
Great to see how you use your Passport TN, I use mine in a similar way. I have a Passport size with a Zipper Insert & Kraft Folder that I use for my wallet in the same way you do, a Monthly Calendar Insert, a Lined Insert for my Bullet Journal, a Lined Insert for Encouraging Spirituality Quotes I come across & a Blank Insert for Sketches/Doodles. It fits easily in my Man-Bag which goes absolutely everywhere with me. I tried a Standard size TN but it was a squeeze fitting it into my bag & with everything I use my Passport size for I really didn't have a use for it. I just find the Passport size more practical for my EDC. I actually cut the Standard cover up today & made a Leather Cover for my A6 Personal Journal with it. Greetings from Tasmania, Cheers, Tony
Hey Tony! Thanks for sharing how you managed and set up your TN! It's heartening and encouraging in how we get to see so many variations of setups between people with different use and purpose for their TNs! Cheers too! God bless! :)
@@pen_journal No worries, I too enjoy seeing all the different uses & setups that people have for their TNs.
How much would be a fair price for this ? I think I saw one on a 2nd hand market. This seems to be a model from the 90s, and the price I saw is still quite pricy, but im not sure how much these are priced.
Thanks for watching! :) It depends on your market and of course, demand and supply. A GOOD price range, IMHO, is about $70-$100 USD I got mine for about $80SGD
@@pen_journal That's actually about the same as what I guessed. $80 is a good price I think even 100 is fine if it's in a relatively good condition without too much wear or very noticeable scratches. The one I saw was almost $100 cheaper than a new one, which when I looked it up the new one cost about $330 So I assume the build quality or something could be better in the older models, which is quite common with some objects. Because it just didnt make sense if something is of the same build and quality, something that old cost only a little less. But I couldnt find much info about the 90s model of 1911L. From what I've seen, older pens even those that are almost mint condition that's never been use but have just been stored away for that long would usually fetch around half the price of a new one. Thanks for that info. But what about the condition of the one you bought?. Are there deep scratches and heavily worn, or light scratch and a few wear, does it come with the original box or just the pen?
@@holohulolo thanks for your thoughts. The one I got was about a 8/10 in physical condition. Micro scratches but nothing big or noticeable. Just the normal wear on a EDC. Function wise. No issues. I actually sold it off as I don’t really use it much.
God is so wonderful isnt He! I love to take my TN to services and take notes from the sermons. Jot down botes from the bretheren who need things, etc. Thanks for the beautiful video!
Praise God! Yes HE IS SO GOOD AND FAITHFUL, all the time! Nothing better than the good old analog way of notetaking, but to be honest, I use digital to take sermon notes. It's much more faster and efficient for me... I do have a dear brother who is taking notes like you do, analog way! :)
@@pen_journal My 32 year old son takes notes on his digital tablet as well! Taking notes helps me get a lot more out of the sermon for sure! Have a wonderful and blessed day!
@@Lambertcottage Blessings too sister!!! So good to see even young men taking down notes! We need more of these! :)

Most welcome! Glad that it helped you in some ways! Thanks for subscribing and watching! :)
Some are cool. I‘ll try them. Thanks. I don‘t get the dot for „gratitude“ though. The dot is the key for a task for a reason in default BuJo syntax. A dot can be extended to a forward or scheduled key, a box icon cannot.
Thanks for watching and commenting :) Agreed that the box seems a bit "weird" for scheduling and migrating, but somehow, I do prefer to use it over the standard dot.😅
Great idea for the prayer request! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for sharing this! My husband and I recently started attending a new church and they've asked us to start the same type of children's program that we worked at in our old church. I've been thinking about starting a bullet journal to keep up with everything. The keys you've suggested seem very intuitive. So much good information here - life advice, spiritual development - this was a blessing!
Cathy! It's been a while and it's so good that you and your hubby are still serving the LORD in your giftings! I'm sure the LORD has His hand in this! Just a quick share: I stopped the Children Ministry for about 6 months due to the sudden passing of my dad not too long ago, and have just started it again! What coincidence in the Spirit! Very nice idea starting your day off with a gratitude journal. Another great video!
Thank you for the generous kind comment Jack! Appreciated you checking it out and sharing some love! :)
You sound exactly like my friend, to the point I almost thought you were him for a second. I'd have to ask though. How'd you get your homemade booklets cut so cleanly? When I measure out my sheets of paper, they're always off by a few hundredths of an inch, and I have a small issue of my booklets ever so slighty poking out of my notebook compared to yours. Edit: I feel dumb. 1.) You have links in the description. 2.) I actually have a paper craft cutter I bought recently, and I put one of the notebooks I made with the paper cutter into my travelers passport notebook and I forgot that the other two notebooks I have in there are still the hand cut with scissors so they poke out a bit. The papercraft cut one are almost perfect in size.
Hey, sorry for the late reply.. Glad you found the video! Hope it helps! Thanks for the comments and here's to more fun TN Journaling! :)

Japanese pens are just better than American/European. Its not debatable. Fit and finish is better, performances etc.
I think it depends, as different folks have different inclinations, and likes. Every country brand, has their own strengths and weakness. To just mention the Big 3 of Japanese Cos: Pilot, Sailor, Platinum. I can think of one common word to describe them in general: CONSISTENCY. Their pens are very consistent in terms of "you know what you are getting, straight out of the box". Thanks for commenting and watching! :)
Hey , i really like all your pens collection but why don't you put the order link of that respective pen I really wonna buy them all Please share me this pen's order link ❤️
