if i want my ram to be at 7000mhz instead of 6000 what do i need to change??

Just upgraded from i9-9900k to ryzen 7 9800x3d, I have a 3090 its now fully utilized in tarkov lol, what presets in tarkov do you recommend? Max out? lol

One more thing I would like to add that not many people are actually aware of is turning HPET (High precision event timer) off. While by itself it's only a like 1-2% FPS boost, it makes the game feel quite a bit smoother, even though the actual FPS number is the same, and also seemingly more responsive. It worked wonders for when I wanted to run streets on my old 7700K and actually made it playable, and now on my 7800X3D it still is a noticeable difference.

I play 3440x1440 res. The stuttering and FPS drops all resolved and even allowed me to bump up detail settings to high on my GtX 3080 12GB to run amazingly after I upgraded 32 to 64 gb ram. Now I get 60-120 fps depending on the map, with absolutely no or little stuttering or fps drops. Indeed on screen display monitoring shows Tarkov uses up to 35 GB of my ram each map

Why in some games like Thronz and liberty or STALKER but in loading shaders for stalker my cpu is used 100% ? This used is just for stalker when he was loading shaders in loading screen but in Throns and Liberty in a main city sometimes my processor goes up to 80/90% used sometimes not , is 9800x3d and all cores are 5225 mhz ? Is it oke or ? I played 1920x1080

yeah gonna wait till my bios update gets out of beta before trying anything like this (msi x670E gaming plus wifi, was very cheap where i live while still having all the pcie-5 goodies and ports/slots plus for upgrade path down the road)

You are the first TH-cam channel I have seen that has broken this down in detail. I tend to spend days fine tuning new builds mainly focusing on getting as steady as possible frame time graph, trying to keep my 1pct and .1pct lows as consistent as possible. It is hard to explain how important this is, and how much tuning actually effects 1440p and 4k, everyone want to argue online about how unimportant high res gaming is in CPU benchmarks. But there is a huge performance difference at high res with up scaling that no one take into account. some Processor do up scaling way better than others, and tuning makes a big difference. I think it has taken Stalker 2 to really make people see how important CPU performance is with up scaling.

I cant even break 100fps on woods with my 7800x3d and 4090 while you are streamng 4k and getting well over 100fps on streets. I dont get it :(

I’m contemplating on upgrading from my i7-12700f to a i7-14700k or i7-14700kf on my b660m plus ASUS motherboard so I can’t run ddr5 on it, but they updated the bios on the motherboard so I’m good to to upgrade just not sure which one would be better for gaming. Or for an extra $100 I could just get the i9-14900k or i9-14900kf I’m looking for which one would be better for gaming I play R6,red dead, apex, gta mainly r6 on all of these games I play medium or low presets/ quality setting. It’s going to be for 1440p/4k

after playing 4k, I cant go back to 1080. I'll stick with my 5800X3D. may not need to upgrade for the next 2-3 generations at this rate.

Just wanted to know if you can do a comparison with the 5700x3d with the PBO2 configuration of undervolting to check if there is any improvement in Fps, temps and etc just wondering the results in this game since in other games seems to improve in even a 10-15%

Totally agree. Dropped a 5800x3d and a 4070 into my 5 year old mobo and doubled up my ddr4 to 64 and my old bessy cranks!

I bought a Ryzen 5 5600x some years ago I dont think id see a huge improvement if I move up to the 5700x also I mainly play Tarkov andy recommendations would be helpful for me jumping up cpu without changing the motherboard.

NOV 2024 NOTE: i've been hearing about people getting perma-banned after playing on Legion Go, it sounds like most people had it happen because they switched control modes in game. I played for several hours on my Legion Go and didn't get banned, but I would be careful until there's more information about what's happening here.

Was considering changing my 5800X for the 5700X3D as I missed out on the 5800X3D’s but as I game at 4k with a 4080 fe gpu on a c2 lg oled im not sure there is much benefit at this resolution ?

I just bought an 9600X for 179 euros, the other RYZEN are too expensive compare the perfomance they give for me. I play on a 3440x1440 (175Hz) monitor and a 4K home cinema projector (60hz) I came from an RYZEN 5600X with a RTX3080 (bought 4 years ago). For me I prefer to spent less money on the processor on AM5 and take the time to evoluate when 9700 /9800X3D have dropped in price or new RYZEN come out, and take the new RTX5000 in january 2025.

After 10 years, we will have 1000Hz 4K monitors and games run 2000 fps with alien pc technology.

I've just looked at your 5800x3d vs the 9800x3d and it's doing the same thing, your CPU load on the 5800x3d is only using half of the CPU (25%) the 7800x3d and 9800x3d is using over 50% Seeing the same thing happening with some other TH-camrs that are doing comparisons when you're at 4k usually the GPU is the limit not the CPU (they very close to each other)

I know your trying to keep the test setups around the same but 4x ddr4 likely increased latency by 2x There was no real time cpu usage shown on screen, some TH-camrs when doing comparing the 5800x3d vs Intel or/and 9800x3d have been showing the 5800x3d only using 4core/threads (25-30% 5800 load vs 9800 50-80% load) witch is usually related to AMD driver core parking half the cpu incorrect (using the same test ssd between test benches)

I just want the truth on if it has input lag when playing before I buy one.

So against my better judgement, I sold my 7800x3d for $650AU (bought for $599) and just bought the 9800X3d for $810 AU.... my upgrade addiciton is real haha

Omg -60??? Mine freezes 5 minutes into cinebench multi-core at -25. I keep at -15 for guaranteed stability. No difference in 4K gaming performance on these margins for me anyway. Either way, great video walkthrough.
