im just curious, what percent usage was your 9800x3d at while on 1440p streets online, since when I try it out I get a max of 80 fps while the cpu is sitting at 30 percent usage

At this point I don't see this game ever being optimized, ever since release it has always gone down for fps. I have a 5800x3d and 4090 and was hitting like 200 to 300 frames last wipe sometimes on it on woods, now I get like 100fps average to 140 lol. All maps seem so much more sluggish now. I got a 9800x3d now, I just need to finish my build since I got most of my parts somewhere this week but, even then seeing this video I feel less optimistic...

Hey, I really like your videos. Very good when looking to pair my new 9800X3D (only gaming rust @ 1440P without DLSS mainly at 600 pop+ servers). Would you say RTX 4080 or 4070 Super would be the better choice? I’m afraid 4080 will run at around 70%. I noticed the 1% and 0.1% Leos are pretto bad. I came across this video showing MSI AFTERBURNER causing worse low 1% and 0.1% for 9800X3D when having GPU Power consumption monitored. After disabling GPU power consumtpion and even GPU usage the low 1% and 0.1% went up by 10-50% depending on game. GPU usage is one of the most valuable data tho, so that one is not good to disable. This problem did not effect 14900K.

Well dang. If a cheap $17 air cooler can do a decent job keeping the 7800X3D running cool, then my Peerless Assassin 120SE has nothing to worry about!

Arena performance is even worse. I have a 7900XT and 9800X3D and i get 80-100 fps in Arena with permanent micro stutters... it´s so bad it feels like i´m playing at capped 30fps

Last wipe, my performance was decent on a 2070 Super and a 9700k - roughly 100 fps except for streets. Upgraded to a 4070 ti super a few months ago but still have the 9700k right now. I can barely hold a stable 50 fps most of the time. I know my CPU is ancient but i would expect to still be getting at least a stable 60-70. The performance is so poor I just stopped trying to play until I can upgrade or they optimize the game.

Could you please do comparison on 7800x3d vs 9800x3d on cpu demanding titles such as arma 3, squad, rust, minecraft? There we can truly see the power of new x3d cache

From what I understand if you monitor power on msi afterburner you lose a chunk of performance and get microstutters cuz the program ques your CPU in such a way it impacts gaming.

The first couple days of wipe seemed ok-ish. Then Sunday it all went to shit. On edge of map looking out of bounds it barely reaches 130 (used to be 200+). Anywhere on the map and looking towards the new area it’s in the 60’s. Being close or in the new area, or being in the raid for an extended period lowers fps even more 50s-40s. It’s like it’s getting worse each day. 7900x3d, 4090, 64g ram. Also I’ve been experiencing annoying stuttering with this system for a long time, so recently got a new 9800x3d, new x870e gigabyte board, new ram, and new storage drive. It was even more unstable somehow. Returned it all and rebuilt my old machine. Now that system is more unstable. Can’t even run the tuned memory I used to. Dropped another new 9800x3d in old system just to see, it just stopped posting after a few restarts. Put my old cpu back in and now it can only run the most basic expo profile and everything else has to be default. It’s like taking it apart suddenly made it die or something. Every time I build a system it fails in some way, so I’m going to buy a pre built and call it a day. Side note: @pyurologie I absolutely despise how you can pick up any new hardware and set unicorn bios settings and it just works flawlessly for you…every.single.time. Every time I pick up multiple pieces of the same part I can’t do much, if anything, past the basic stuff. Like the the game is running horrendously right now. I get fps into the 50s yet your chillin with 100+ in the same spots. How? Even my buddy with a 7700x, 32g ram, 7800xt is getting fps just as bad as me. Yet you’re not, never are. No stutters, high fps, always. Not only is it not fair, it’s borderline suspicious at this point lmao

I'm getting lower frames now, after all these "technical updates" and "optimizations" over the years than I did 3 hardware upgrades ago, before all those updates. Back in early beta I was rocking a 3700x, 16gb ram and a crappy 3070 and was getting 70-90fps..now with a 5800x3d, 32gb, and a 7900xtx I'm getting lower frames on most maps than I used to with that old setup, at times dropping below 60 down to 45-50fps. Labs and factory I'm hitting my cap of 165 most the time but every other map...trash fps.

Thanks for all the information in relation to your system specs. I just started playing this game halfway through last wrote, after hearing all the bad reviews of this wipe I might wait to play since I have a low end PC. Is there a way to have stats displayed on a second monitor?

Might be wrong but looks like some pretty substantial vram and ram leaking issues in the recent patch, would explain the mixed performance as soon as you run out of vram or ram respectively youre gonna see a big jump in stutters and a performance drop

This patch's memory and VRAM usage is gone pretty high! Obviously a lot of memory and VRAM usage happens than previous wipe. I think unity 2022 is the cause.

Each update: 2 steps backward at this point. I have Rtx 3080 (12 GB), upgraded to 64 GB DDR4 (for this game), 11700KF and was able to get 60-100 fps on 3440x1440 on PVE on high. After this patch: micro stuttering, FPs drops below 40 A LOT. Ambient map Sound disappears after I use sights on any weapon for rest of the game. Can’t play any PVE matches with my friends online (disconnection issues). So now solution is for me to set everything to lowest setting to have playable frames? I guess I’ll stop playing until it’s fixed

Do you happen to run MSI Afterburner or Nvidia App in the background at all when playing? Getting odd stuttering every now and then on Tarkov and horrendous framedrop with similar settings to yours on my 9800X3D, 4090 and 64gb CL28 6000MT/s RAM. Have seen random postings on Reddit and Twitter that Nvidia App may be the culprit or power monitoring on Afterburner. Just wanted to see if you had anything odd going on since I didn't notice these issues on the 12900K before upgrading to 9800X3D.

Hi bro , im playing costums with my New pc and still get drops like to 80-90 fps on costums here are my spec and i undervolt it with -30 curve Here are my specs B650 , 9800x3d , DDR5 48GB 2X24GB 6000MHZ CL36 KIT . 6750 xt graphics card . Do you know what is the problem ? I play 1080p with high texture and most of it on low with 144 fps cap ? Can you help me ? Or so a bios for this specs ?

This patch was wild for me, as I dropped from about 100 fps to 35-60 fps. I'm using 5700X3D and 4070 Super. My settings are about the same (going to copy yours tho). Only difference is that I'm using 3440x1440 resolution. Maybe it's something else, but I kinda blame resolution. I also might need to check how other games perform, but I almost only play Tarkov xD.
