@narcissusnarwhal7141 0 seconds ago “The wealthiest province of the Ottoman Empire,” doesn’t ring true to me. First of all, that implies that the Ottoman government actually controlled Egypt, which is questionable. The Mamluks were even less renowned than the Ottoman state for the quality of their rule, so it probably wasn’t very prosperous at the time. In fact the European provinces of the Ottoman Empire are usually cited as its most productive. Volney’s influential work only emphasised the POTENTIAL of Egypt for generating wealth (if occupied and correctly exploited (by France).

My main problem with this alternate timeline, is concerning the Battle of Trafalgar. He assumes that the British Navy would be obliterated if the French and the Spanish were organized and held a firm line of defense, but he is conveniently forgetting the superiority of the British tactics and training. Meaning, if the British saw that the French and the Spanish held a firm, disciplined defensive line against them, Nelson would not have charged them head on as he did in our timeline. The reason he charged in was BECAUSE they were disorganized. He would have revised his strategy and come up with a different tactic if he saw that they held a firm line. Assuming that the British would just hurl themselves against numerically superior forces while they at the same time held a disciplined line of defense is not logical. More likely, Nelson would have found a different tactic, and he still would have won the battle. Maybe not nearly as decisive as he did win, but still a win, because the British had a that time proven time and time again their overwhelming superiority on the sea. Or another likely scenario. The French and the Spanish would have just escaped from the fight, and two sides would find a different time to engage each other.

Renee was in the De Gaulle resistance and when people wanted to know who De Gaulle was it was said he was the tall one with the big hooter (nose). There was another resistance the Communist Resistance and which ever one was strongest would control France after the liberation. As Edith once noted that the head of the local communist resistance was not only a ruthless bumming blackmailer but was also a very good catholic.

The combat record of Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth Winged Hussars stands for itself. In 1577 a massive charge of this ultra-heavy cavalry unit smashed a German army from Danzig, blitzing into the teeth of a 12,000 man force and crushing them until all that remained was a well-trampled patch of red where the enemy army once used to be. Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth losses in the battle totaled about 88 men, and most of those clowns weren't even Hussars. In 1601, a thousand Hussars defeated a Swedish cavalry force four times that size. At the Battle of Kircholm four years later, the Hussars (whose commanders' completely badass motto was "Kill First, Calculate Later"), sent 1,000 lancers in a charge against 11,000 Swedish infantrymen and cannons for some reason, and incredibly, despite the ridiculous idiocy of sending your elite troops on such an impossible mission, the friggin' Hussars jammed their poles (OMG AWESOME PUN FTW) into anything they could find and not only emerged victorious, but utterly slaughtered their opponents army, hacking the broken infantry units into giblets as they fled the field. Amazingly, that wasn't even the most impressive shit this mobile last stand accomplished in its proud heritage as the Commonwealth's premier exporter of busted-up faces. At the Battle of Klushino in 1610, the Hussars were outnumbered ten to one, and still somehow came out on top, utterly annihilating an army of 40,000 Swedes and Russians with just 4,000 lancers. What might be even more awesome then the Winged Hussars' much-deserved reputation as seemingly-invincible shit-wreckers is their completely over-the-top awesome battle gear. These guys went with the heaviest armor they could find, decking themselves out in fully-articulated plate mail at a time when most European armies were switching away from breastplates and over to firearms, but these ferocious warriors didn't even give a crap about rushing at state-of-the-art muskets with hand-to-hand combat weapons. Their primary implement of facial demolition was a lightweight (yet still completely insane) 19-foot lance capable of outreaching even the most well-endowed infantry spear hedges, and after they splintered that up the asses of their foes, the Hussars could fall back on pistols, a dagger, and one of two different types of swords. badassoftheweek.com/hussars.

6:05 in regards to American units, theres a running joke between those who have fought them that its best to avoid killing squad leaders/officers first because they're the only one in their squad enforcing the Geneva conventions as rules and not a checklist, which is what is going to happen to any squad without an officer-equivalent to hold their reins.

America's governement took 3,5 years off his carreer. A comeback will always be very tough. Only in america politics will and can decide who's championships must be stripped. Did america boycot the OG's in Russia back in the 80's? Sport and politics mixed seems OK. Rest of the world keep silence even during the most stupid war in Vietnam without any criticism from those who believe in whatever incl. "justice and peace keepers". America wanted to do the same to Ali as what they did to "Hurricane" (B. Dylan song). But hey, this "country" is known for segregation slavery and gun violence. Untill today stop and search still going strong for one group. Locking up people to find out after 20 25 or 30 years they where innocent. A dog is a better mammal than a human (labelled as they want to place themselves as so intelligent).

The thing I have to say here is, one: It was one of the Greeks who fired the ramrod. And secondly, the way I see the early presidencies there is this: Adams was the snake shit filling of a sandwich with terrific bread. Not only was he a spineless coward to the Barbary pirates, he also passed the Seditions Act, which pretty much was the classic violation of the first amendment, as it tried to legalize jailing of political opponents and dissenters.

Tbf while meth can make you agressive it's unlikely to make you fight with the people you're friends with untill you hit the point of being high that you're full blown hallucinating from the drugs and lack of sleep then all bets are off but for a normal person durring the come up they will have a ton of energy and probably actually be really happy, the agression comes more from withdrawls/full blown psychosis once their brain has broken fron prolonged use. As a single use thing though it is very similar to mda and mdma with how it feels which makes since cause they're both amphetamines too with mdma having meth as the base molecule meth is just more stimulating and a bit less psychedelic. An interesting thing is mda is a stronger stimulant than mdma despite being built off the amphetamine molecule instead of the methamphetamine one that mdma is built off of even though amphetamine is a way weaker stimulant. Another interesting thing is supposedly meth is far more addictive when smoked rather than eaten because thst euphoria rush hits you all at once and is far harder to resist than just eating it and the slowish come on which i thought was surprising like you're still getting the same end effect just hitting faster and harder and therefore wearing off faster too

I don't understand why Hollywood hasn't made a blockbuster movie about this. It has everything, it's based on a true amazing story. It's WWII with classic good and bad guys, it's a lot of action AND the US is the hero that saves all the defenders in the castle. Everyting Hollywood likes.
