The Fat Electrician is the only guy who manages to tell us about the war like a family picnic - glory to him!
Yeah. I was really feeling sorry for Captain Glass. All he wanted was to get it over with as quickly as possible so he could leave. I was almost getting Admiral Rozhestvensky vibes from him.😁
I love the beginning of Capt. Glass's letter to the Governor: "Listen, I don't have time for this" 😂😂
😅😅😅
The mock battle apparently happened on Aug 13 1898 (there were many battles called "Battle of Manila"). Maybe that will help you find more info.
Thank you!
I have followed your journey since you first found the fat electrician you are very well versed in global events and one of the best fat electrician reactions to watch keep up the amazing work my friend always a joy to hear your insights on these
Thank you so much for this heartwarming comment :)
Yay, lunchtime treat for me! Got to love the fat electrician, i only wish he would tell us what he really thinks about communism 😂. I haven't seen this one before, glad the premier for me was here. Didnt know much about this subject before, really interesting, the only thing that could have made story better would be if the willie d were around then. Thanks for the video and thoughtful commentary, you do the TH-cam thing right
I think the Willie D would have been the Spaniards' only hope of resisting the US invasion. Thank you very much and have a nice day :)
This would be my favorite war movie of all time 🤣
We NEED this to be adaptated as a movie
actually...if it was the Russians they would have thought that the japanese merchant ship was one of theirs. 🤣
haha good point
Monroe Doctrine, I love the discussion of such topics as they come up. Your brief summary of your knowledge on the topics that's mentioned is terrific.
Thank you so much, Long live the friendship between our peoples, and glory to our shared History!
You cant forget that during the dogger bank incident the russian fleet LOST that fight against those fishermen.
hahaha true 😅
6:10 - Is there any famous false flag operations in French history? I cant think of any right now
The closest thing I can think of is the Franco-Prussian war with the Ems Dispatch but it is on the diplomatic level. And I just discovered you have a serious one in your history!
@@ToonStory-fh4gn Ah, thats right. That is sort of diplomatic one.
Was it possibly the time when "Russian" soldiers attacked a Swedish border post triggering the Russo-Swedish War of 1788-90, that you discovered? 😅
@@StoriesFromHistory-rv4oi exactly!!! this one sounds delicious 😅
@@ToonStory-fh4gn what can you say, we had a king who loved French culture and the theatre especially. And he was banned from starting offensive wars. Put one and one together and that equals... France's fault 😂
That whole war is pretty fascinating even though in the end it came out to basically a draw in the end.
Pepper box is really good. I got it the first day it came out.
Thank you, I might give it a try if it's available in France!
Clearly you are familiar with the adventure of the Russian fleet and the Battle of Tsushima Strait. I had been considering making the suggestion that you look at Drachinifel's presentation of the voyage to get there. It is pretty long piece, a lot of information, but mixed with some of the funniest, most incredible history I have ever heard.
Thank you, I've done a video a couple month ago about this odyssey and I did not know about the channel you mentioned. Sounds interesting!
@@ToonStory-fh4gn Thank you, I will look it up.
To be fair the the USA, Spain did declarer war on April 24th and the USA declarer war on April 25th
Thank you for the clarification!
That is NOT the Monroe doctrine.
Ok, so what is the Monroe doctrine then?
So the battle you were looking for is the Battle of Manila or the Mock Battle of Manila. What makes it even crazier is that a preliminary piece deal had actually been signed the day before between the U.S. and Spain.
Thank you, it's honestly one of the wackiest situation I've ever heard of 😂
You are so adorable ❤❤❤ 🇬🇧 ❤❤❤❤
Thank you :)
I would love to see your reaction to HMS Victory Guide by Epic History 🤞
That's a great idea! As a Frenchman, I'll have to prepare some wine to give me courage before reacting on a jewel of the Royal Navy 😅
@ToonStory-fh4gn It's scarily impressive what people managed to build all those years ago!
The attention to detail and the fact that it was all done by hand. It's truly beautiful. And the video doesn't disappoint I promise! 🇬🇧❤️🇫🇷
GOOD STUFF back to TFE reactions EH!🍁🍁🍁🍁
thank you!!!
Wow unbelievable, how can this happen it can't just be luck lol.
I think it's both bad luck, bad timing, and a bit of incompetence hahaha
Communism is perfect on paper but people are people and they f things up.
People always F things up, don't they?
yeah i'm done paying for spoty video releases, just like regular t.v 1/4 season finale, mid season finale random cancels, hard pass.and also you wont get to see his wife anymore, what a joke.
haha yes, might give it a try if it's available in France!
