Mk6/5 lights are both European version of them. Best bet will be a used set on eBay but I got mine back in the day on vortex from a fs post

These are factory vw ligjts and they now sell a plug and play harness. From mk6ix.com he makes a plug and play with some coding. With my method you need to run that wire and wire it inside the ecm plus coding. So I would go the easier plug and play route.

Depending on where you are best bet will be eBay for a used set. Here in America the 10 pin Cars are base models. Anything 12 pin is xenon. The self adjusting won’t work cause you will need to get the leveling sensors pin them into the ecm and code them with vagcom. But del will work and regular high/low beam and signals with no codes.

@@Gabasto​​⁠no unplug the air bag and check which wire you need. and you will only just get the no airbag light .Will need to get reset it. And no sorry this was so old. And just get a volt meter and check the voltage. Don’t add no power to any of those wires. You just looking for a 12v on ignition source.

@@Gabasto​​⁠ yup you just checking for voltage and you will need to rest the light. Prob have to pay someone with vagcom or if you get a obd2 reader that can delete the code.

Try to check if it’s giving you 12v all the time or only on ignition.

@@NarBrosGarageyes i have the module connected the way it’s supposed to do but sometimes when i connect the ground the readings on the screws are extremely low even i got a brand new battery in my car

For the 17z you can use 17” wheels the 18z are a little larger so you need 18” around et 40/45 depending on what fitment you want, and thank you you as well

I do have another video for a mk6 light that’s step by step need to find where I left that go pro . But all you need to do is apply a lot of heat to the whole heat light with the glue gun. Ones it gets way too hot to the touch you will use a flat head or a clip removal tool with a flat head and slowly pry out. Hopefully this helps. I also found a new way with a torch for cooking. If you put a lot of heat by the front of the lence which will get replaced since it’s bad, it will come out faster than with the heat gun.

Instead of the power of the camera going to the reverse light. Put it on a switch with 12v and a on and off switch.

@@αισχοςντροπη if you have 17z it’s two one size and one a diff size on the 18z they all diff sizes it’s been a while but all you need to do is find the one that fits in the hole . The little ones are too little and they only go in one way hope this help

@@NarBrosGarage Is there a way to force a code? My Atlas stalled out at least 3 times when coming to a stop and I've taken it to the dealership 6 times and they can never find anything wrong even though I suspect it's this canister. They won't replace it unless they can either replicate it or they get a code.

@@FC2ESWSvagcom will tell you everything with system of the car and it can test a lot of the electronic components. But that’s expensive tool.

You can adjusted while is all bolted up to the car is the bolt that moves in and out but it’s easiest to do the big adjustments first then just minor ones while it’s bolted up. Hopefully that makes sense.

Use a torque wrench and remove the one bolt from the knuckle and you can adjusted fast. It’s one bolt. Easy you got this. Use a measuring tape. That way you get both side close to each other.

@@Scooter3194they have paint on headliner which is what ima do to my mk6 since it’s getting saggy. Main cause it’s hit summer days and not having the windows a little open. It melts the glue.

Use a trim removal tool. If you talking about the leather part. The plastic trim from this one is for a manual.

It’s 4 bolts holding it.you can see they were already all loose, If you listen to the video I said ima bolt the ball joint back ,so I can hammer out the bearing. Ones it’s out just put the new one in and put the 4 bolts back on. If that’s hard to understand please let me know I can make a video on me banging out the old bearing

Nope. To check just drive the car up ramps and make sure ones your air out or if static, that the shock has no contact with the rear of the rim or tire.

Yes it will work with any car as long as it has vacuum. Will prob need to get the right adaptor for it. You can also get the electric one if you don’t want to run vacuum to it.

@@Conspiracykaleidoscope humming noise could be bearings you will hear it a lot going above 60mph . If while you brake you feel the car shake could be the same. Just replaced mine as well. But if you just get up to speed and hit a bump and get a hard vibration on the steering then sadly it’s your steering racks. These are common issues with these cars. Hope this helps.

@@montisino if you have a high mileage car I would recommend doing it at least once if it’s the original. Do the right process of refilling the oil.

I got a set of Les bulbs from Amazon and the brake one is a flashing bulb.

To make fit perfect you have to cut the mk5 fender and the mk6 and weld it. You can get away with the jsw fender but some body lines don’t line up same with the mk6 fender the body lines don’t line up. I made holes bigger pushed the fender as flush as I could and I liked it so I didn’t care much about the body line. But if it was a show car I wouldn’t to doit right and have it painted too. And cut the mk5 headlight support to put a new place to hold the mk6 support.

They pretty cheap on eBay I think it was like 150 but before the pandemic bro so everything has tripple in price.

Yes these are plastic so you can get it to fit better with big lighter, the ones you use for like food. Head up the corners until they melt(super thick so don’t worry) so fitment is better(mold it ones it’s hot) . Also file a claim they will give you money back if fitment is super bad
