    Something else you can do, and it works just fine; enlarge the hole.

    My GM truck the transmission suddenly started going sour fast. I knew the end was very near and no spare vehicle. Klunking shift and a loud clang if I'm coming to a stop fast. I tried 1 bottle of this. Nada. Second bottle and second day driving around it went noticeably better. Just long enough to arrange a rental and buy another vehicle. It muffles the sloppy worn parts noises and pushes the hydraulic pressure on the servos and clutches. My mechanic said he didn't think it was ridiculous to use it knowing that it's worn out. I think it's ideal for light wear like first signs not after the warning lights are full brightness like its screaming "Help help". Personally I would think if someone bought a used high mileage car to put 2 bottles worth + Synthetic fluid as there are no additives in Lucas.

    My 2015 Equinox has had an OIL CATCH CAN installed but I drilled out the bottom and ran a hose to the ground (my bad). I also installed a vented oil cap. We are just over 100,000 miles and our Equinox isn't losing oil. We have an oil change coming up and I'm running SEAFOAM in the crankcase for a few 100 miles before that to penetrate the piston rings to clean them out a bit. We intend to run this car until it cannot run anymore. BTW - I removed the catch can bowl and you would not believe the absolute crap it is keeping out of the intake plenum. No wonder these PCV holes get plugged. One would almost wonder if this isn't a deliberate flaw engineered into these motors.

  • @toddcanipe1190
    @toddcanipe1190 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The only thing I can suggest is that you install an oil catch can on the PCV system. My son and I installed one on our 2013 GMC Terrain, 2.4ltr two years ago, and no sludge is found now. The catch can runs from the PCV Pipe coming from the engine to the Catch Can and out from the catch can into the PCV port on the throttle body cover. All the water and sludge will build up in the catch can and then you drain the sludge from the catch can. Nothing gets into the throttle body port. But, I have to say your idea of drilling a hole into the intake manifold is genius!! I think we are going to try this on our 2.4.

  • @toddcanipe1190
    @toddcanipe1190 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don't know if anyone else has suggested this to you, but you should think about installing an Oil Catch Can to the PCV system. My son and I have gone through this routine with our 2013 GMC Terrain 2.4Lr engine. We added a catch can to ours about 2 years ago and we've had zero issues with Blowback in the PCV to Crankcase ventilation system. We didn't think about drilling a hole into the intake manifold. That is genius! I did however, drill the orifice out a little to make it bigger, but man I gotta tell ya, that is an awesome idea for cleaning that hole. Thank you for the video and installing the catch can is easy and cost about $32 from Amazon.

    Just use a #4 x 1/4" pan head sheet metal screw. The plastic is rigid enough that as long as you dont torque down in it, it wont strip the plastic and it will seal just fine.

    Am getting mad at the used car I bought.. after driving it for a month,it slips to neutral when driving it.its a Toyota auris semi automatic 07. I changed the fluid and it was normal. After some days , it happened again. I will need to off and on the car before it will engage again in the middle of the road. Am Even scared to drive it now. I took it to the mechanic and he checked and said he can't find anything 😢 that I should keep on driving it and if it occurs again I should bring it. Can Lucas do d job?

    I did the 2 cam shaft position sensors or what ever they are called, the intake and exhaust and I also pulled the intake and clean the PCV valve and I have to add oil every other week. I check it every Sunday and sometimes it's low like 1/4 or 1/2 QT, but it is EVERY time. We need to find a good fox for this. So thanks for sharing this video. So you drilled a hole above the PCV valve so you can clean it when ever you want without having to take the entire intake manifold off right? Do you have a video on that process? Of drilling out the hole and setting the screw?? So you can remove the coil pack and plug and drop the B-12 Chem-tool directly down there??

    If my fuel pump is priming, with the key in the on position, could the relay still be the issue? I just changed my fuel pump and it ran fine for a few days but now I have a crank but no start. Fuel pump is priming like normal but no fuel comes out of the line when disconnected from the fuel rail.
