Came Off Of Mood Stabilizers
มุมมอง 3003 ปีที่แล้ว
I'm 3 days clean and doing quite well, my head is clearing up and my moods are well adjusted. I'm not taking my mood stabilizer, which was Trileptal, anymore because I think a lot of my mood problems were the result of drug use. I really don't think I need a mood stabilizer anymore.

    I take seroquel er for psychosis, seroquel immediate release for anxiety and acute psychosis, venlafaxine for depression, prazosin for night terrors and PTSD, topamax for headaches. I also have schizoaffective - bipolar type. Along with sleep disorder with night terrors. I also have PTSD and OCD. We have to be vigilant and never rush to thought.

    This injection is saving my sister's life. She is in a nursing home and will basically starve herself (among other destructive behsviors) when unmedicated. She will 100% refuse or reject meds, so with a hard to get court order she is now given this shot every 60-days. She is like herself again, healthy and happy when she takes this shot. Its surely not for everyone, but in her case or it is a total gamechanger for her quality of life

    dxm ruined everything when i was addicted, i lost friends, family didnt really like me, i almost lost my girlfriend who im still dating to this day, i was mentally abusive, i was losing my mind, i was addicted for a year and im 3 months sober, it feels like the best high ive ever felt, better than weed, alcohol, opioids, anything (besides psychedelics which i didnt try yet at the time), i got sober with the help of lsd and psilocybin, and now im just waiting for withdrawals to end which according to my therapist it should be next year. its fucked up, dont do this bullshit, its addictive, my girlfriend was also mildly addicted, everytime id steal coricidin id get a box for her too, but we went through a box in 2 days max. 10-16 pills everyday for a year

    Good luck buddy. I went to voluntary inpatient rehab for the exact same thing, DXM. I was drinking 1-2 bottles every day, around 700~900mg of DXM and nearly died from the strain it put on my heart. I've been clean since June 2020. You can do it!

  • @AggressiveMenace
    @AggressiveMenace ปีที่แล้ว

    I take it in combination with Escitalopram/Lexapro, but I haven't any idea that it also works with mood disorders aside depression, panic disorder and apathy. Anyway, it helped me a bit with my mood swings (I'm not bipolar, or at least, never be diagnosed of it), and helps me to being active and productive meanwhile Escitalopram doing this thing with my anxiety and overthinking. My psychological pain is still pretty hard to maintain properly, and I feel pretty hopeless about everything, and very impotent too. Forgot for me is near impossible, even if I take my hugest effort. Is very debilitating living like that, starting from my preteen years to my current 26 y/o (damn it, I was just a damn fucking kiddo, have mercy you sick world!). But honestly, I never mind giving up. I need deal with all this mental self-torturing memories and thoughts, but I try my best one time and another. I. NEVER. GIVE. UP.

    Was marijuana your first gateway drug, and did you develop mental health problems after doing lots of it and before you dabbled into harder drugs? Just curious cause some researchers are claiming that even cannabis abuse can lead to mental health problem. thanks!
