If you’re looking for suggestions on the background (you do you of course i dont want to backseat aquascape), I recommend a solid black background. Black goes with everything and it looks clean, draws attention to the foreground (fish/plants/rocks), plus its darker which could be relaxing for the fish. I hunted around with a BUNCH of backgrounds on my new tank, but I eventually settled with a solid black back drop and I’m really pleased with it. Still your aquarium looks great regardless!!!

I only wear natural real stuff. I live in a major metro area. The Intergem jewelry shows come through 2 or 3 times a year. You get high-end REAL jewelry at about 30% lower than retail. So when it's time to treat myself to a bauble, that's where i go. My first time there i bought an 18k gold, .25 diamond halo 3 carat trillion cut amethyst ring, full color saturation, for $450. . Cool video! Etsy is one of the perfect places to get custom made things from. I've never ordered jewelry because I'm not into jewelry but I do use a lot of skin care so I get my custom made soaps and creams.

Hi Laura! I’m so glad you made this video as I’ve been thinking I’m just not doing something right with mine… I think I have the same calibration issue as you. Basically everything tests slightly higher than it should. Thankfully I know enough to work it out and I do find it very useful to confirm my thoughts. I did a video comparing it to a cheap diamond tester after discovering a cheaply tested diamond showed clearly as a spinel on the presidium. It’s got rid of the frustration I used to have not knowing for sure what was CZ/spinel/diamond 💍💕

The Presidium is like any tool, if used incorrectly its worthless. The biggest mistake I see is people think it will tell them what a stone is - this is wrong. I have even seen it used to determine if glass or plastic - how idiotic! One absolutely needs knowledge of gems and stones currently used in jewelry. It will help you confirm what you already think a stone is. It used to be easy - blue its sapphire, red its ruby, green emerald or jade. Now it is not easy, what looks like topaz might be spinel. Aventurine looks like Jade, topaz can be pink or red like a ruby, sapphires come in other colors than just blue. Peridot has the same reading as a citrine actually. I personally have found it to be very useful, however I also have a knowledge of gemstones, and am constantly learning. It will also not tell you if a gem is lab made or not, only your eye can do that based on the color saturation. I have bought jewelry items that were assured to be something specific, only to find once I tested it myself - they were wrong.

Yes most of them arrive damaged/out of calibration because they’re so sensitive and mail carriers drop kick packages most times 🤣🙄

925 not 9.25 is the highest British grade.

I buy it so I can wear it to my job, so my real jewellery doesn't get broken or damaged. And if it breaks, honestly, I'm not worried

I REALLY DON'T CARE IF IT'S REAL BECAUSE NONE OF MY TEMU JEWELRY TURNS COLORS OR NONE OF IT MAKES MY FINGERS TURN GREEN AND IT'S ALWAYS PRETTY.

Nothing i bought from TEMU was real. All 30 rings/bracelets/necklaces were stamped 925 and the ad said sterling silver. Every single piece turned after probably 2 times wearing. The silver totally rubbed of and shows a copper color

I bought some jewellery from Temu, but I didn't have high expectations from the start, and I was buying them as costume jewellery. When I want decent quality real pieces of jewellery, I buy them from elsewhere.

Many "sterling silver" rings are often rhodium plated to make it turnish resistant, so it isn't strange to see that it didn't react as sterling silver initially.

One of the big scams is turquoise--a lot these days is dyed howlite...some say 90%. It is often sold at turquoise prices. Easiest basic test is to dip a Q-Tip in acetone and rub an area on the stone: The dye usually will rub off slightly and make the Q-Tip blue. Even if there is no dye transfer, you need a little more complicated testing to be 100% sure it's real. Don't get ripped off--not just TEMU-like sources will do the cheat but sources which look reputable may too, especially where tourists gather and are unlikely to come back for refunds.

First time here so forgive me if you've answered this before .. but why don't you just make a small scratch on the inside of the ring to acid test it? That's what I do so I don't ruin the ring. Just curious!

I've actually bought multiple pieces from AliExpress and multiple ones I've had are amazing and still going strong 4 years later! I just only buy the .925 printed ones and obviously since they are from China I don't expect much. I wouldn't recommend buying something over $10 from temu or Ali for that reason but for some cheap ones? Not bad imo

AliEx is really good at refunding. The overall company does the refund so you don’t need to argue with the actual seller. It does go against the original seller as sellers though, so if it’s a fault or they were otherwise good to deal with, try them direct first. Most will bend over backwards to avoid bad reviews & complaints.

If you use the torch on your phone, it will show all the spatklies! I’m so glad you got some genuine silver in there. Again I’ve never bought any silver from AliEx as thought they were all fake 🤷‍♀️

I’m trying to get Silver metal clay that I can torch fire & it’s very $$$. I found a seller on Amazon for way less than half of what others were after, but it was dodgy as, as it was one of only 6 products & they linked to a brand new company as a supplier, but a different, legitimate source for ratings. My instincts scream fake. So I hope they are because I really wish I could have got the 50g at what they asked 😩

I am a person who wants to get a job done and dusted, move on to the next. Temu buys their products from other companies that make the items that you buy so wherever they get it from, that’s what you’re getting it. Temu is just like the third-party.

I bought several good pieces of sterling silver. I had them tested by my jewelry and they were turned out fine only twice did I not read close enough? It’s Sterling silver but it also said plated and you have to check for that on Temu but I also got a beautiful, 3 carat moissanite and there is a way to make fake moissanite or make a fake CZ look like moissanite but when I had it tested for three carrots it was appraised at $2600 score

I needed this. I just retired and have so much I need and want to do and I still find myself procrastinating. I procrastinate with laundry and putting up groceries too. I do much better if someone comes over to help me go through years of accumulated junk. Even if they just sit there with me. I do keep up with medical though because of being on meds, my dr requires every 6 months. Also, my insurance gives a $50 discount per month for wellness visits. 😊

I have that tiara like ring from aliexpress. This is fake pandora, but pandora makes jewellery in Asia, so you never know, maybe it's real without the logo. And after many years, it looks like new
