LOL, I do let it do its thing. that's how it learns. still nothing on the market comes close. Waymo is ok but remember Waymo's car cost around 250k and is Geo fenced.... Like a kiddie car at Disneyland. Not scalable.

yes, I used to say it was like a student driver learning to drive. now it is more like a good driver without all life's experiences. so it can just get better from here. when I first got ver 12 it had trouble with bright sunlight. now it sees better then I do in direct sun. less then 6 weeks and fixed. amazing.

it wasn't unsafe. just want to send it to the dojo so the neural nets can fix it. there is very little wrong with FSD right now. do you have any of these lights in your neck of the woods. they might be rare.

yes that left could be because I barley gave it time to get the map for the destination then put it in FSD. that usually makes it take a minute to wake up. my fault. yes I have it on assertive. so it was going to over take the other car then saw the lane ending so it slowed down and merged. on the older version it just tried to run the other car off the road. so 12 is way better.

well hopefully they get the video from me and train the nets.

same sign that I have? it's for the u turns on the green arrow of other traffic. to keep us from getting in their way. then when there light goes red, ours shuts off. then you can turn on red.

I'm not saying that Uber drivers are bad. it's actually a decent living for an entrepreneur and I have been in some very clean Ubers. and that ride was fine. but some were very dirty. the drivers are good for sure. But we are coming into a era where Robo Taxis will rule. The Uber driver can get their own Tesla and put it in the robotaxi network and it will make them money without even having to work. the car will work for them. they can still drive Uber and have a robo taxi if they like. because it would make financial sense. even as a Uber driver a Tesla makes sense because of the economy of operating cost. A typical ICE car starts to breakdown after about 80k on average and at 120k will become more of a money pit, This is why car rental Co. sell their cars at 50k. A Tesla on the other hand, should have a live expectancy of around 300k or more. pretty much trouble free. so an Uber driver can start with there own car and work up to a Tesla in a very short time. any way. Uber, Lyft and Robo Taxi are all necessary in the modern day environment.

Most people would not even trust them. _a typical ICE car starts to breakdown after about 80k on average_ A Honda or Toyota can go 150k miles with just minimal maintenance. Maybe GM or Ford or VW cars break down at 80k. The latest Camry Hybrid can go 630 miles on a tank of gas, and filling the gas tank takes 5 minutes. Tesla cannot compare to that.

FSD currently does not live update the fleet and learn and update itself on the fly though, it is to be noted as this comment makes it seem that way....learning and updating is monitored and done by tesla and released in updates. its to be noted, as this is another misconception, that FSD does not have long term memory, so it does not remember roads or intersections and update its behavior from memory...it sometimes can have different behavior in the same place, but thats solely because the specific situation is different in some way, or the training on that particular update has learned multiple scenarios for that situation. There are a multitude of reasons why this isnt being done, bandwidth constraints and learning errors that result in major safety issues are the major ones. All training and updating is done update to update and closely monitored and quality controlled internally before release.

@@BenefitOfTheDoubtInquiry Same way humans do: looking at the cross-traffic light and/or observing behavior of cross-traffic as well as other drivers in lanes parallel to yours.

they must have updated the single stack then. it is defiantly better.

in fact it is working so good right now on the Highway, they only really need to work on James Bond type moves. avoiding accents and such.

I did 160 miles door to door (which is mostly interstate but there was an interstate closure the forced unexpected exit) with 12.3.6 without a single disengagement. But that was in the morning when traffic was light. On the way back was terrible. 6 disengagements before I even left town. The highway stack does not do well with dense high speed traffic.

it is going to be killer to see peoples expressions when we get out of our cars and the car takes off to park with nobody in it. Then lets see the lame stream media try to keep a lid on that. LOL. cant wait.

I drive this every day. I not sure of the videos you speak of but I see cnbc showing old videos of version 10 and 11 as if they are the current version. I myself don't see many mistakes any more and I have been using FSD from when they first released it to the public. the mistakes it makes are not life threatening, it just will piss off other drivers once in a while... too long at a stop sign. ect. and in my opinion that makes it more human like because if you aren't pissing somebody off you don't have a pulse. LOL. like the song says "But it's all right now I learned my lesson well You see, you can't please everyone So you got to please yourself" its just that I have about 15k miles driven on FSD this version is amazing.

@@teslatalks9836 I just watched a video today of the brand new version failing to detect a traffic gate. And the frequency of you doing this kind of thing doesn't make it better, it just makes the inevitable come sooner. Please be safe, it's not a toy.

There's only one way to get to full fsd as fast as possible. A single day sooner means a single day sooner of mass use which means a saved life.

possibly. I think Elon was in talks with Uber a while back. but I think Tesla wants to use their own software. I know China is a big deal for FSD and robotaxi. and Elon seems to be moving that along well. he seems to get along with the Chinese government well. which is a feat of its own.,

Maybe in the beginning the rider himself could supervise the car. You have to walk a few mins to nearest robotaxi, or the robotaxi is supervised remotely when driving really slow, empty, extra careful, to next rider.

V12.3+ has been merging better for me (even using the turn signal, finally!) but it refuses to lane-change for construction-blocked lanes until absolutely forced over and I've also been getting aborted lane-changes frequently (as in it aborts its own lane-change), which I never really had in any previous version. Also refuses to pass slow traffic sometimes and the speed control is pretty random. Highway is definitely a bit of a mess for it right now, but that's probably why they didn't actually put highway on the new version (I just have it early, due to some weird circumstances).

yes, the hardware 3 will work perfect for FSD AI, they don't need HW4 any more to achieve RoboTaxi full level 5 autonomy. Using Neural-nets end to end has changed the game. Just like Andrej Karpathy said it would. It freed up a lot of compute power and space. The HW4 will give the user better pictures and video for humans to look at though, but is not necessary for Level 5 Autonomy. so all cars with HW3 will not need to be replaced. From what I have heard from experts on the subject.

lots of humans wont take that turn. You have to wait for the right moment. And I know Waymo could not complete that task. nobody has better autonomy then Tesla's FSD. Mark my word, Ford will probably be the first to accept the hardware and licensing. then all the others will follow suite. Just as they did with the Supper chargers.

And it doesn't have to be limited to EVs only. This is the next evolution in driving and one that has the potential to save money and lives. Just imagine if half the cars on the road knew what the other cars surrounding it were going to do. Exciting times.

@@ragnarocking I doubt Elon would allow FSD to be licensed on ICVs. He will use it as another forcing function to get people to switch to EVs. And, frankly, I'm not even sure it would work on ICVs, since they only have the 12-volt battery architecture, which is weak, inconsistent, and messy.
