This took so long but traveling around gave me a good feel for the surface of the world and what to expect. Its alot harder to force your way through a specific direction than it is to aimlessly travel wherever world generation just lets you go. Game is pretty hard since you're balancing a lot of eco and different systems and there aren't any hotkeys or control groups, so you have to unit hunt for micro but it's still playable even without pausing. It seems like the current meta is to spam a ton of walls since they don't have upkeep. Androids are good and I could have farmed xp for the trait to spam them, but I mostly just wanted centu...

"A Shadow?" You get tell tale signs when it starts haunting your world in search of the living and a sign when it starts hunting you specifically

@@Boglorio if you kill it , its permanently dead for that character you are playing as, i think itl only come back if you play as a different one, even in the same world.
@@Boglorio Also I think it mainly goes after npcs/the player, atleast some of the hints that its haunting your world is that you start hearing gunshots in the distance wondering what other people could be shooting so much at, and according to the person that added it, its not just hunting you. But none of that says anything about it actually going after NPCS in practice just what it would be doing if its not within your reality bubble. "Even out here you can still see the burning cities lighting up the horizon. What scares you most is not the gunshots you sometimes hear in the far distance, but the idea of what people keep shooting at. Tonight you hear automatic gunfire winding down into single shots. Just what could make them shoot that much, all the way out here?"

What do you think of defence with only mobile army and bunkers? Do they fall off in lategame? Flaw is also me misplacing my army while being attacked. Which effort is more effective the houses or effort boost from ship. How do u unlock commanders?
Mobile army will almost always be necessary because of the niche units that deal high damage per shot to counter destroyers with crazy armor that most turrets cant handle, not to mention units also do things that turrets cant compete with like scouting and kiting. Turrets will almost always be necessary because they have good dps and range while also being efficient on your popusage Houses if you can build them and defend them while ship you want/have to anyway when you start overflowing on special resources Thats why I waited till later to actually start working on my ship because I was starting to generate alot of resources that the ship needs to build on. Work on your ship earlier than that, even if its just for some effort generation and you wont be able to expand and fight fast enough for more ore.
Yeah, don't like some of the changes they've made so I'll keep playing Bright Night instead.
I was really holding back from going on a tangent when I brought up the exodii, they really seem to be trying to push the game into the direction of fallout with npc factions to interact with, my issue is they might soft lock certain parts of progression through interacting with them (bionics) although atleast bionics you can still get but it requires going through the hardest places in the game now to consistently find (-4 subways) As long as old style and central labs exist its fine, i heard they planned on replacing them with a new type of dungeon for bionics.
I forgot to add that traveling a lot meant I couldn't show a new thing you gotta worry about in your worlds now which is the meat cocoons. Basically, whenever a bug or insect creature dies it has a chance of reviving as a meatball which can hatch into something worse. Since it scales with the size of what you kill, and chances are if youre fighting an insect youre not gonna stick around the area for too long, it can actually make your world alot more dangerous if you return there later.
Pro-tip: 1) use kitten CDDA launcher, the current one is depreciated and doesnt pull changelog correctly. 2) use auto-travel mode, you need to bind a key to it yourself since its unbound by default, it basically pathfinds forward based on the tiles you can see and choses the fastest path. Extremely useful in the forests. (I taught Rycon to use it xd)

You put them in Water Ruins. Checking the tiles then looking at the white text on the bottom right above the minimap will familiarize with them.
How do I unlock the ships?
every game you win gives you a score thats calculated towards progress to unlock ships, i only had to win 2 times to unlock what i have so far.

@@NguyenBaohonkaibuild connectors to their central structure, overtime theyll build relations for 50 effort a cycle and help defend nearby attacks (theyll stay in their area, dont think theyll mobilize) careful on connector placement bc the perspective is janky sometimes
