Lovely boats can someone tell me what the white yawl is? I see in the description it't either a Calendonian yawl or a Ness yawl, either way whichever it is it looked fast and it had a few onboard

*One could easily cross an entire Ocean with these tiny sailboats if there was no such big waves , storms or whatsoever.*

All I see are Balanced Lug and perhaps one Standing Lug rigs on these boats. The camera boat is not showing the top of its main, and could be a gaff or is the standing lug rigged boat? Cheers

Delightful! I used to circumnavigate Garde Island in a 27"whaler when I in training at HMAS Leeuwin back in 1964-67. The whaler was a bit heavier but the concept was much the same. Wonderful, I wish I had a yawl today> Nice to watch. :)

Lovely little boat! I have just built a balanced lug yawl of a different design (Michalak "Blobster"), and while I love the ease of rigging and sail handling in general, I am struggling to get the tuning right for efficient upwind sailing. Any tips or good information you can point me to?

Loved this!!!! So quiet and calm even with the sound of the movement of the boat moving across the point. Having one an hour long would make it so one could put it on for background sound or just relaxation reading or snoozing. Thanks for the video!

Loved it mates. Small boat adventuring....it has a sweetness to it. Sheilas usually don't dig it...but men are nomadic. I have a 28 foot Sharpie that i'm rebuilding. It has an extremely small cabin on it that can sleep one. It is schooner rigged with no stays. I'm seriously thinking about making it Junk rigged. Thanks for chronicling your adventures. Now i have to subscribe and watch your adventures....smile

Thanks for the video. Around 2:06 and again at 3:45 there is a glimpse of he sole of the Pathfinder which seems to show a step down - I thought the Pathfinder had a flat sole which made it great for camping. Am I mis-interpreting what I see. Best wishes.

Great little boat - just one thing through .. Is it a replica Ness YOLE with a yawl (2 masted rig). The Ness Yole being around 22ft overall keel legnth around 15 ft beam around 5 1/2 feet. draught 18 inches.🤞

Might have been more peaceful if you had left from Woodman's point and island-hopped out there via Carnac! The stench of diesel fumes can be quite nauseating on a Saturday morning sailing out of the Swan.

What great shots, pity about the industrialised background, a fantastic place for boating. I had a boat at Stans boatshed at Woody Point, half a lifetime ago when working in the mines in WA, every week off was mad dash get out in the water and enjoy oneself. Seeing this made me wish I was back there enjoying myself as you blokes obviously are. Beautiful Yachts sailing well, good luck to you, have subscribed so hope to see lots more.

These boat are not gaffers but luggers . All the same they are lovely boats and perform beautifully .
