Awesome.....so beautiful
Thank you. 😊🙏

Exactly. I might have just wanted to have it as part of a collection. Thank you 🙏😊
Yeah! We can never have too many supplies.
I wish there were the shop here in Japan, too. 😆
I love ur videos thank you
Thank you 🙏😊

wondered why you were doing the extra work of mixing in iron oxide instead of buying a (iron oxide) red clay. Thank you!
Good point. I sometimes use red clay as well. Thank YOU! 🤗
Fantastic
Thank you. 🙌😊

This is incredible!
Thank you!🙏💕😊
The audio and visual of the bisque to glaze firing process was niiiice. Love it.
Thanks to your help, I think I have found my own style for creating videos. Thank you.😊
Thanks for sharing these valuable tips. I'm also a fan of nerikomi. And I just found 50% of my nerikomi pieces have small cracks after bisque firing. It's so frustrated. I will definitely try your tips next time!
Thanks for your comment. I encourage you to give it a try! I hope your work will go well. Thank you.😊💕
Thank you for sharing. You have to have a strong spirit when the success rate is low! I think the english word for this special clay is wadding. :)
Absolutely! 👍I Googled the word. I'm happy to learn new things! I appreciate your information. Thank you.🙏
Trial and error which makes it a intriguing craft
I find if you leave the clay in a plastic bag or container and spray it with water it improves its quality.
Your work is good. Keep practising
I don't like Nerikomi
I am a adult of around 59 years. I turn 60 next year and I really don't like children.
When you steal and are vandalising, then your fingers are all over it. Right?
Why are you using iron oxide all the time. It must be drying the clay out as well.

That's interesting. Thank you.🙏😊
That is great, but how did you get the design?🤔
To my regret, I didn't film the process of making the design. I will redo it and share a new video. Thank you.🙏
Thank you. I would appreciate seeing how it was put together.🫠

You're welcome.Thank YOU.🙏😊
Thank you for the second part of the method to prevent cracks. This video has given me some idea of the softness of clay. It needs to be soft enough that it sticks to the board. I have been making Nerikomi ceramics for many years, but every time I make a piece, I end up with many cracks, so I have repeatedly clamped the outside of the piece with a board before cutting it, but I realized that this is not enough. Of course, I apply water to glue it together. I am thinking of buying a soil moisture meter to get a feel for the softness of the clay and try making a piece with the same moisture percentage. Please forgive my poor English.
Thank you for the comment. 🙏🙌 I'm happy to be of your help. Using a soil moisture meter sounds like a good idea! I hope your work will go well.
I have gathered two points as follows. 1. prepare the clay 0:41 2. tighten the edge of the plate 12:28
Thank you for sharing. I will try it in my pottery class 😊
Thank you! Have fun.😊💕
42:29 About trimmings, what does a nerikomika do with their reclaim? Do you have a means of chemically separating the pigments or, more likely do you wedge different commonly reoccurring combinations of colors into separate reclaims and reuse them that way?
Thank you for the questions. My comments are in bold font below. Do you have a means of chemically separating the pigments? *>No. I think there isn't a means of chemically separating the pigments.* do you wedge different commonly reoccurring combinations of colors into separate reclaims and reuse them that way? *>Yes. I sometimes do that thing. or in my case, I make another color by wedging them well. For example, if the scraps in this video are kneaded evenly, they will become pale pink clay.* FYI, I sometimes make small pieces like a chopstick rest or buttons using nerikomi scraps. Does that make sense? Thank you.
Thank you for the detailed process. The bowls are very pretty.
Thank you! 🙏🙌🤗💕
Thank you for the wonderful demonstration of your work and your dedication to creating something beautiful.
I am happy to hear that. Thank you!
Thank you for your wonderful video show.
Thank you.😊🎶🙌
What gauge wire do you use to cut the clay? What kind of clay and colorant do you use? Is the clay porcelain?
Thank you for the questions. The gauge of the wire is 25 (The diameter is 0.5080 mm). I usually use stoneware clay that has grog in it and mix stain made for pottery that was purchased in Japan. (I'd recommend Mason stains.) No, it is stoneware clay.😊
Your videos are great! It would be nice if you added some music or voice to them
I am happy to hear that and thanks for your valuable opinion!🙌
