Yeah, the main reason I stopped doing calamity is the madness of requiring worldwide arenas and max gear. I mean, this is the opposite of elegance and I dare say opposite of skill. Vanilla got it absolutely perfectly done, you can beat any boss without arena, in a tiny space (even EOL daytime and Duke don't require more than 100x100 blocks if you're doing it right). Most fights can be done without wings or mounts throughout hardmode. But Calamity, gosh, why? Why creating this madness? A boss or event that requires building massive arenas, is a sign of poor design.

I like the nights edge rework in vanilla , but i cannot play without the "charge up" from "melee effects 1.4" it makes fights feel more interactive and terraria needs so much more of that. More parry type mechanics
