      The drive has probably died. Replace it with a new one between 500GB and 2TB (HDD or SSD, doesn't matter as long as it's SATA-based), and you should be back gaming in no time! :)

    I find it interesting that everyone says the 50000 model is more reliable but since I've started repairing them I've noticed more issues with the 50000 models. Especially with their power supply and having video issues.

    Hello mate! Just got my first Xbox one first edition,from 2015,the previous owner said it has a problem with the last update...I said i don't mind fixing it..soo i have power it on and is displaying E200 error..I have checked the hdd ..is only 70 day old..no bad sectors,no nothing...erased it, format it and run the script for new partitions on it.. downloaded the update folder, it's going well until step 3 where it's reaching 80% and it shows me E200 again..i bouth new ssd 1 tb.same thing.. don't know what to do... tried everything online...also as i go to the reset menu by pressing and holding those 3 buttons,if you select reset without or with saving games it just goes black screen and it's powering down..I have cleaned it up,repaste the processor.. nothing...i don't understand what's wrong with it

  • @ajslim79

    so far, everyone was saying, you'll need the xboxonehdd-master script from the gbatemp forums to do it properly.. IT WORKED like shown here with a 2TB SSD on my One X ..the bootamination-insertion did not work for me

    Andrew, hope the new channel does great. Hope to see more videos soon. Probably not the best place to ask but hopefully comments help you. I have a PS4 that I haven’t seen the exact same issue talked about. It’s a BLOD with 3 beeps. The difference is it does this when plugging in to power. It goes instant and constant BLOD with out the need to power it on and requires to unplug to power down. No click from Power supply and appears to be good by testing. It does this with only the 5v cable plugged in from the PSU( PSU not in console only 5v cable). Leaning toward southbridge but not fully sure and haven’t found any shorts during the minimal time I’ve spent. Any thoughts would be great?

    • @ConsoleWorkshop

      Southbridge would be my suspicion, certainly for a first guess.

    I'm having a hard drive problem similar to the ones described in your previous tutorials. Is it possible to simply wipe my old hard drive to remove the problem or do I really need to buy a new one? Also, is all of the data on that drive unrecoverable? Thank you.

    • @ConsoleWorkshop

      The drive may well be the reason your XB One died... The drives are standard PC SATA drives so if it won't format, it's likely dead.

    Thanks for video! My Xbox One (Original/Fat) has OS Build 10.0.25398.4478 and according to the MS link, I should be using OSU2 before then using OSU1 but you've not mentioned this preliminary step for these consoles. Any thoughts please as there is a list of 11 OS Builds that can skip the OSU2 or OSU3 stages and go straight to OSU1 but my OS build is not on that list. Thanks in advance.

    • @retrojimmyx
      @retrojimmyx 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As is probably usual with these things, I answered my own question: I just the OSU1 update step (contrary to the official MS link) and all worked okay. I would *guess* that for the original fat Xbox One console, unless you are in the unusual situation where the console has not had any updates since the factory-installed OS in 2013, you just need the OSU1 update step and not the OSU2/3 update step before that. If this helps one person, great ;-)

    • @ConsoleWorkshop
      @ConsoleWorkshop 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Glad you got it working and my apologies for not spotting the comment previously - more often than not you can just go right ahead with OSU1 - of all the XBOX One's I've ever had my hands on, I think there's only ever been one where I've needed OSU2/3.

    Just a caveat to AP's good work. The clock cap on a 1.6 xbox, shouldn't need to be changed (MS, in their timely fashion. Only took 4 revisions to sort it out). The board will not run without it though..

      I'd take the top off and remove the DVD drive - you should be able to see the clock cap quite easily then to assess what damage may (or hopefully may not) have been done.

    Love the videos keep them coming!😊 I also have 2 50001 series and 1 30001 series that the tray opens and closes just fine but when you put a disc in either ps1 or ps2 all have no sign of life I've tried all new lasers, worm gears, and spindle motors and still no sign of life just completely dead and was wondering if you have ever encountered this with any ps2 you have ever worked on and possibly knew what might be causing it?

    • @ConsoleWorkshop
      @ConsoleWorkshop 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are these the 50001's bud? They had a common issue of killing their LA6508 driver ICs which would cause the symptoms you describe. You may need to replace the laser again alongside the chip as one being dead often killed the other even directly after a replacement. You can program a 12C508A PIC with the Matrix PIC fix firmware which will stop it from happening again.

      To be fair to it I find it works fine as far as using it to connect to the hard disk goes, it's just a shame they don't have any ethernet port in them to facilitate playing images over a LAN/NAS or sending down ISOs over the network. I'm tempted to either get an official adapter and mod it for SATA or get that V12 I have working and do the IDE mod to that. Decisions decisions ha ha!
