I watched your trellis video, episode 1 when i have only 2 hoyas to try....and they are successful in their growth and both flowered in 13 months from they were very tiny...thanks to being trellised with all the knowledge you gave us...and now guess what? I have 20 hoyas total, maybe close to 30 including doubles or triples...too bad youre too far from Toronto Canada...i would like to visit your greenhouse in person...is it even open to the public? I like to buy in person and not import so i frequent plant nurseries here in my community...thank you again, i hope to see more videos from you its been over 8 months since that time i saw your last one...maybe talk about caring for hoyas without grow lights, cabinet or tents which is becoming the trend ...i only grow my hoyas next to my windows, spring summer and fall are great, but i still dont move them away from the windows during our long winter months from December to March which can be minus10 to minus 20 Celsius which is harsh to my hoyas...but i find that they have acclimitize to our cold winter...just very little watering so they dont freeze and hold off fertilizer as they seem to be dormant or resting so i give them time to not do much work...but as soon as April comes, I start to water more and give half strenght water soluble fertilizer every 2 wks for 3 months, then reduce to once monthly till November...boy oh boy i can see they just grow so fast being awaken from their slumber....im just very vigilant about pests, checking under the leaves, nooks and cranies ...prevention is better than cure philisophy ...im a retired nurse so i learned that from my profession...

Th strawberry pin tip is clutch. I was using hair pins and they would open and the stem would move. These pins are soooooo much easier and cleaner to work with. 😁😁😁

Hi April, loved the video!!! I have a beautiful sun stressed Hoya Publicalyx Splash and I’ve made the choice to let it be a trailing plant. It’s sent a few vines straight up. Since I want it to grow as a trailing plant, should I do anything? It seems kinda funny how they aren’t trailing down yet. I’m looking forward to seeing it as a a big bushy trailing plant. TIA

I have over 100 different plants, but only about 40 of them are hoyas. For some odd reason, mealy bugs only attack my hoya. Any help to discourage or prevent mealies? Im in Wyoming and all my plants live indoor. Thank you.

What kind of fertilizer do you use and how often do you fertilizer?

I grow this guy out by my pool in a giant pot with a trellis, also! I agree on its ease of growth and that trellising is key to getting those giant leaves. Thanks so much for your awesome videos….love them. I am getting into small and thinner leaved hoyas now and would love if you could include some information on any special advice growing and rooting those, as well 💚
