Scars doesn't seem hard to play but the initial boss fights are brutal. I don't know if they get any easier as the character levels up. Game looks good for the most part. Some of the cutscenes look pretty bad like they were rendered in a lower resolution. Characters look a little stiff and plastic like. Overall though it has been fun enough considering the current price. Thanks for sharing again!

Scorn reminds me so much of the Alien's movies. Can you see the H.R. Giger influence here?

I actually ran it with mid ray tracing and high settings at 1440p. With dlss and framegem, i was able to comfortably play over 100 fps and have no issue. Was able to explore and fight the bosses pretty well. I wouldnt render it at native resolution because part of the charm of a nvidia card is the dlss and framegen.

Plaguebreak replacement soloing public dungeons will be a blast.

Hmmm, haven't got this far in the new game yet, sound is a bit off, too directional which makes it sound un-natural.

looks amateur not gonna lie.

In the original Riven, if you open the fissure after you refused to enter the trap book and Gehn has it, Atrus does not appear and you just fall into the fissure. This new version, even though you do not have the trap book, when Atrus appears he gets the book from you anyways (bug) and Gehn appears as he does in the other ending.

You can also trap yourself in D'ni, Tay, and 233 with different results.

One difference between this and the original clips is that right before linking into the trap book, Gehn picks up and preps his walking stick/dart gun before linking to Atrus and D'ni.

Also missed the two other recordings that you could play.. literally on the last page of the journal.

In the one ending where Gehn is not trapped when you signal Atrus, Gehn throws a book into the fissure, but why? He doesn't know one of the books is a trap. At the end of the 1st Myst game, you meet Atrus on D'ni at his writing desk in a circular room with several arched doors. The picture in the trap book shows this room (you can see it scanning the room showing the arched doors and Atrus' desk). Atrus made the book look like you will link to this room, but it actually just traps you inside the book. The book that Atrus uses at the end to leave with Catherine also shows this room where his writing desk is, but is the real one to go to D'ni. The trapping book has a black cover and the book Atrus uses has a brownish cover (allowing him to tell which is which?). Also Atrus puts the book with Gehn trapped in it in his satchel but doesn't take his hand off of it. When he pulls his hand back out, he has the other book in his hand.

You can also trap yourself in the book after trapping Gehn and setting him free.

Does this game have a reverse Y-axis option for the mouse?
