Nourish Vermont 2019 | Zach Bush, M.D. | The Soil Microbiome
The exponential rise in the prevalence of chronic disease in the developed world is staggering, and threatens the financial and political stability of the developed nations around the world. In the US, 46% of our children now carry a chronic disease diagnosis. This is in stark contrast to the chronic disease burden of 4% in the US population (including all ages) in the 1960s. Research from around the globe suggests that a combination of genomic, autoimmune, nutritional, and environmental factors are now contributing to the collapse of health in our children and adults. Not surprisingly, the diseases in our domesticated animals - from pets to livestock - have followed a similar trajectory. While this may seem overwhelming, the fact that each of these systems seemed to approach collapse at the same time, would suggest that there is a root cause event that has setoff the cascade of systemic complications. This talk explores the role of the microbiome and agriculture system as ground zero of this humanitarian crisis, providing new insights for consumers and health practitioners alike.
Zach Bush, MD is a triple board-certified physician with expertise in internal medicine, endocrinology, and hospice care. His basic science and clinical research over the last 17 years has moved from chemotherapy development to the role of the microbiome in human health. As founder and CEO of Seraphic Group, Inc. Zach has started over a dozen companies in pursuit of root cause solutions in the areas of health, energy, and ecology. Through his teams’ investigation in these areas, he has discovered that disruption of natural carbon cycles is common in all sectors. With this unifying science, he has launched a global education campaign with the Farmer’s Footprint docuseries and non-profit, that brings consumer and corporate support to farmers prepared to transition from chemical farming to regenerative agriculture and create a healthier future.

Since the 1940s, whole foods we grow have been getting gradually blander, thanks to industrialized food production that prizes quantity and not quality. Simultaneously, we have taken great leaps forward in flavor technology, creating a billion-dollar industry that engineers ultra processed foods for maximal deliciousness. The result is a national cuisine that increasingly resembles the paragon ...

We are currently experiencing a pandemic of sedentarism. This sedentarism is an entirely new, entirely unprecedented environment for the human body, which does not cope well with a lack of mechanical input. We’ve been told we need to “move more,” but what does that mean, exactly? What counts as moving more? Regular movement doesn’t only affect our body composition and the state of our heart and...

The levels of electrosmog generated by modern wireless technologies we’re exposed to are now at unprecedented levels, and an increasing number of people are feeling its side effects: fatigue, depression, anxiety, fertility issues, and an overall reduction in overall health. Luckily, multiple ancestral practices can help alleviate and even reverse the effects of this electro-pollution.

Consumer behavior over the last 50 years has led to extraordinary changes in our food systems in the United States. The creation of mitochondrial ATP occurs via rapidly rotating nanomotors...

thank you for making this lecture available to simple people, like us; to be indulging in some high-class and price intelligence online, in a random hostel somewhere in the universe, is like having an Arthur Connan Doyle moment at the Irish pub, during the day in Spring in Sophia, BG - unexpectedly space and time dissolves and I become what imagination dictates, instead of a linear progression of the simple logic of taking physical steps in the material reality and just believing in 'it' as 'truth'. intellect is amazing - thank you for keeping it alive! 🙏

I discovered Jack Kruse last year and am finding anything and everything I can where he’s lectured. I am searching through all the comments to find if someone could translate some of the slides which were hard to see, but alas no. I stumbled across your inquiry on lasik and while I cannot confirm 100% yes, I have heard that it can. LASIK has evolved through the years, I was a candidate, but a smart ophthalmologist told me long ago, “I’d wait till they perfect it.” I waited 10 years. I asked again, as myopia was getting worse as years passed, with the same response. I now know a handful of folks who have night myopia and light distortion problems from it. I have been practicing Dr. Kruse’s light principles as well as food changes and my myopia numbers are decreasing. There is only one article on the web (I searched after reading your question) that I could find, suggesting possible damage/alteration to ganglion cells in the eye. But nothing definitive. What I did find a lot of is LASIK doctors ready to answer questions about getting the surgery, promoting the surgery and how great it is. The search engines are unfortunately designed to help the centralized medical systems, encouraging its success. May I suggest you get on IG and see if you can DM Dr. Alexis Cowan, who is effectively holding a Dr. Kruse baton in this field of quantum biology. She is likely to answer your DM and also may already have the answer to your question on one of her posts. Hope you find your answer, and your healing 🖖🏽

I just found this just 20 min after searching a different way… it came from Dr. Kruse on FB in Dec 2018 “Did you know lasik surgery of the lens/cornea destroys neuropsin and melanopsin in the eye and frees Vitamin A?” Not great news I guess but I would still contact Dr. Cowan and see about regenerative measures. Best of luck to you.

The premise that blue light as causation for obesity is interesting, but surely not "the leading cause". For example look at Pacific island cultures which comprise some of the fattest populations on the planet...due to lack of sunlight?....unlikely. Due to poor diets and lack of exercise....yes. The role that a proper diet plays in metabolic health IS clear as dog-balls. The role of 'light' in health & well-being may in reality, be first cause. But there is no point that lends to credibility in downgrading the efficacy of a proper diet.

Stop crediting food for the benefits that sunlight provides our colony of mitochondria. Stop giving food credit when your major confounder in all nutrition studies is the electric power grid. You know where modern light comes from. It is where all modern life's problems come from, from a biological perspective. Food gurus are smoothed-brained thinkers on this topic. Deal with it. Even Weston A. Price made the same error. His foundation continues to shit the bed. If you are decentralized, you should go a different route. She said, "We lived without lights or electricity and walked barefoot to school." "Northern Italians look sick, but after a week of staying here, they regain their health." Imagine that. th-cam.com/video/71IjlwPea48/w-d-xo.html

I'm not sure if this is related but plants use different spectrums of light to code the expression of genes, metal halide lights are used in the vegatative phase of growth to encourage side branching and folial growth, where as in the bloom stage red light encourages stretching or single cola dominance.
