Wheel Restoration: Paint vs WD-40 experiment
while restoring my rear wheel, it came with my attention through social media that you can apparently simply wipe on wd40 to bring the shine back to the old paint. watch be me flabbergasted when it worked.

Finally got the main parts of the bike painted. still need to touch up the frame, rims, and a couple of other parts, but the bike is looking awesome (from a distance lol) and it's ready for riding season. Interested in the radiator insert? It's made by Tony Casio from www.cx500parts.com, he has a bunch of different designs and he also does battery boxes and under seat electronics trays.

1980 CX500D Gas tank clean and repair
มุมมอง 362 ปีที่แล้ว
This nasty old gas tank gets a clean up on the inside and some repair. This is just preliminary stuff, I will be doing a lot more to this tank in the future to repair dents, any other leaks that pop up, as well as prep for paint or plastidip. A used, decent condition tank for this bike goes for $500 on ebay, so replacing is not an option for me as that's more than half of what I paid for the bike.

I sent them back for a return and did all the procedures they asked for in thei return, NOT ONLY HAVENT THEY ISSUED MY REFUND THEY WONT RETURN MY EMAIL AND THIER # IS ALWAY BUSY. It's been over a month and they are just blowing me off. Maybe they're ok when a part is good but if you need them to refund your $$$ good luck. they're basically salvaging parts so it's a crap shoot if it'll work. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN and I'll warn everyone about them.
