Sinking Spirit

A two-exit level in which you must follow the Big Boo Boss downward to reach the secret exit. Letting Boo get too far off of the screen will trigger the normal exit. Some custom code would probably make this a little smoother overall, but I wanted to avoid doing that. There is some untapped potential here, especially with Yoshi, the cape, Layer 2, and perhaps any weird things that might happen after the Boo Boss has been "defeated".

This is a switch palace level I made for the BLDC2 compilation hack. Participants were given a baserom containing a variety of resources and had to make a level from what they had. This level focuses on both puzzles and platforming while also making a joke about the lack of a Yellow Switch Palace in the compilation. You can use the cape to skip the powerup filter before the boss, allowing you to take an extra hit. I didn't end up taking a hit though, which is a surprise for how chaotic this boss can be. I guess I just got lucky with the attacks I got (and also lucky with that one glitched attack where nothing flew in from the sides of the screen). That is all for Rakugaki Mario. This level took me a very long time to complete and as a result I did not want to have to beat the level and the boss in the same attempt (although I did try to). I will be starting from the midpoint in the recording for the boss.

I was a bit disappointed with how I played in the water room and in the Bowser fight, but this was the best attempt I ended up getting. Also, I will be playing through all of the rooms and compiling my recordings of them.

I'm not sure how I wasn't hit by that one diagonal Bullet Bill in the area with the midpoint. Also, I apologize for moving so slowly in the cape section; I was anxious and afraid to make any mistakes.

This level has a variety of rooms that you can be taken to. I'm pretty sure it's random. In addition to the secret exit for this level I will also record clears of all of the rooms.
