They do look rough but there are some panels that are jaw dropping. You might not believe me but there are people who say that some hxh panels are Berserk level.
Yeah, and that is hxh manga, I had been reading since grade school to high school, it’s good enough and as long as the story getting better each chapter, I was happy to read it 😂

It's not that the writing is amazing, it's the simple style that conveys the tension and the emotions of the characters directly. The anime is a great reproduction of the manga, but Togashi is a genius, I realized again.

私はキルアが、血脈の呪とかで、いつかゴンを裏切るのでは、と思ってた。でも真にヤバかったのはゴンさんだった。
I thought so before. Togashi-san is someone who is able to surprise. The manga would have been less interesting and unique if everything we were led to believe had been real. I thought Killua, Gon, Leorio and Kurapika were going to be together the whole series and Togashi does an excellent job of separating all of them (except Gon and Killua). I also thought Killua would be some sort of "Sasuke's clone" who would betray Gon in the end, but their friendship turned out to be purer than snow. I also thought Gon was going to find his father until the end of the manga, and Togashi just closed Gon's story and let him go live with Mito-san and Killua went with Alluka/Nanika to be together. Now Kirapika and Leorio are the main characters of this fantastic manga and the plot of the Battle of Succession is very interesting and well done, with a lot of diversity of characters like the princes that make it more complex... These typical ideas that always occur in any other shonen demographic manga, Togashi breaks them and plays with that, it's spectacular. This manga is unique and one of the best ever....

the anime did a fantastic job of adapting this. I always forget how minimalistic the art for HxH can get. That kind of minimalism would not translate well to animation. The additional details the anime chose worked amazingly.
この新ハンタの子供向けにチューニングされた雰囲気で蟻編やる気かよwwと思ってた頃が懐かしい。最高のアニメ化をありがとう
