Near the end of the video you were going to be fitting the head back on , but you did not show how the head is fixed on to the square tube , I have one but the head is slack could you tell how it is fixed in. Thank you
@@stranraerlad1 It's a while ago now but I remember there being a brass attachment that snuggly pushed inside the square tube. Do you have that?
what a throwback man. Good 'ol days
@@Izz150 I know! I miss those days, the Nokia 3310 is still my favourite though!
For boosting the signal get an normal analog coax amp (1-4W for example) Plug the modulator into the input and plug a normal passive antenna into the output port of the amp, this works very well.
That's a really good tip. I was trying to do it on a budget, but for better on longer range an amplifier is definitely a must!
@@retro_restorations I got my amp for around 25 euro including cables and the amp itself
Just got one of these off eBay but the cassette door won’t stay closed it’s floppy. Do you happen to know if it needs a spring or something it’s my first Walkman so I’m lost
I can't 100% remember at this was over a year ago but looking at the video I think this one used a system where it flexes against a piece of metal. So if it's flopping open it could mean something is snapped or damaged inside.
Only ashtrays. But then cigarettes are more carcinogenic 😂
@@fionadimond8283 hahaha!
Do you just place the uv lamps under the plastic container? also would a smaller plastic container be okay to use it’s tough to empty the h2o2 in that big back without disassembling the set
@@bluemo7253 if you rewatch the video again you'll see my lamps are propped on the top of the container. In theory they could be anywhere but I try any get at much UV light straight onto it. You can choose a size to suit your needs.
Outständing collection! Thank you very much for this i was searching for an AC Adapter so this really help me thanks
@@patmann79 You're very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment 🙌🏼
what uv lights should I buy for this? If I want to do this with multiple gamecube controller shells would i need to only do one at a time?
@@bluemo7253 I wouldn't over think it too much as most uv lights work. Just buy a size suitable for what you are doing. So if you want to do them all at once get a large one or you can get a couple of smaller ones. If it helps I was using two 6 watt 395-400nm wavelength LED strip lamps. It you are doing multiple controllers just remember the h2o2 gets "weaker" with use. So either have a big bath and do them all at once, or use smaller amounts of fresh stuff and do individually.
Hi! Where is the tab to push down? I've been pushing down on what i thought was the tab but now i'm getting worried it isn't it as the back hasn't opened...
Do you mean to open it, the belt hook or the battery bay?!
@@retro_restorationsThank you for responding! I'm not sure if it's the battery bay but its when you were just opening the back of the player at 6:52 in the video. I couldn't really see where the tab was
@@camyuu Just after at 7:10 I point to the tap so if you image it fitted your just going to see it peaking out at the bottom of the back section 😊
@@retro_restorationsI followed that part but it just won't open 😞 Maybe there's something wrong inside? I'm afraid that I have damaged something
@camyuu Maybe you've damaged it, or maybe you just haven't clicked it enough. That's all part of repairing things, there's always the risk and reward!
You selling 👀👀
@@georgecole28 already sold lol
I have this camera but it doesn't have a battery. Can it work without a battery? You may have mentioned it in the video but my English is not very good.
Yes @2:14 I mention that you can remove the battery and just plug the power cable directly into the camera. I hope that helps :)
Hello Sir, thank you for putting this online. I have a WM-FX45 myself and today I very cautiously revised it following your video. All went well except for the Stop button After reassembly not working properly when the Play button is clicked down. The play button only partially pops up for some millimeters, but not enough to switch off. Now, during revision I found a tiny spiral shaped spring (it is dark coloured) in the cassette compartment that must have come loose somewhere. I figure it must have happened during the removal of the internal part from the case. Could there be a relation with this problem/where does this spring belong? I would love to hear from you (or anyone else who knows the answer to this problem). Thanks from The Netherlands!
Hello! You are very welcome. If I had one to hand I would take a look inside for you but unfortunately I don't at the moment. Perhaps try pausing and zooming in on the video to see if you can spot where the spring goes. It sound like it should solve your problem once you re-fit it!
@@retro_restorations Thank you for your swift response and kind words! I will do as you advise. Solving this will now simultaneously become a good exercise in having faith and patience. Come to think of it, this might actually be my path to enlightenment... If so I'll let you know and report back the eventual solution to this problem. Fingers crossed!
@@BruderHip Best of luck!

I have the same stereo but the tape recorder is not working. Only radio works and I listen everyday. I need the head after which tape recorder will also work. I searched everywhere but I am not able to get any. Can I get it from soelmewhere. Please msg
I'm sorry to hear you have the same problem, maybe its common on this model. I hope someone can help you get it fixed.
Did you manage to restore this one?
I don't think I ever did, I think it went to a vintage shop as a display item!
The capstan can be adjusted as well
Thank you for that. Is it a simple process or do you need a specific tool?
The top of the capstan can be unscrewed counter-clockwise and the sleeve removed. Put them on the ‘rest’ just above the capstan. Now it should run at approximately 1 7/8 ips.
@@jonathanbohman5069 Thank you for the extra information.
I had to edit this video whilst I'm away staying in a hotel. It was a little trickier but hopefully it's come out ok 🤞🏼
Hello! Odd question, but i have problems with the reading of mini dvds. I have recently bought an external optic unit that can handle all of my disks, except mini dvds, specifically the ones from this specific camcorder. The footage can be viewed from the camcorder, so it is not corrupted, but when trying to view it anywhere else, it fails miserably :(. Any pointers? Thanks!
@@maestrulberar hi there, great question but bejond thinking it might be the specific formatting or having hands on myself I'm struggling to be of help here! Maybe someone with a better idea might be able to add to your comment 🙏🏼
I have a bp-120 watch, it should have a similar/same circuit board as the bp-100. I hear the beep when I press the buttons, but the blood pressure measurement always fails. In demo mode I don't see any error displayed, only "retry". Do you think it's the battery too low? Is the low spring used for both the beeper gnd and the skin potential connection?
I had the Bedtime Bunnies game and my grandmother got totally hooked on it for a while. Just today I got a small one for my mother, they're surprisingly difficult to put down and great for old people even if they wouldn't ever pick up an electronic game, these are way better than phone games that try to get their money or show ads.

I had one growing up. ❤
@@1SweetNikki wow that's awesome! I hope you have find memories of it 😊
I'd suggest the aerial with "booster" is for boosting the received signal from the aerial rather than boosting any output you are feeding into it from the AV line , what you really want to use is a proper RF transmiter, the RF modulator you are using is only going to be a very low power as its output is designed to connect straight into a RF input to a device. Interesting concept and I'm surprised you got what you did from it but I think on this occasion you have got hold of the wrong end of the stick regarding RF modulators 😉
@@PhoneVidoes You can actually get reasonably far away with option 4 so I was happy with that as a solution. Thanks as always for your "input" for the "output" though lol!
@@retro_restorations Definitely surprised it worked, I thought I'd put an aliexpress link to something more suitable but youtube appears to have binned that, but search uhf TV signal transmitter it should throw up suitable things if you want to go that step further. I use to have one when I messed about broadcasting a home TV station back in the day LOL, illegally I'd add as you are supposed to not broadcast on those frequencies but you could only pick it up if you were within about 200mtrs so fine for around the house for a bit of fun.
I hope this helps you bring your analogue devices back to life 🙌🏼
Great video! I just bought my first (two) Game Gear today as faulty for cheep, buy one of them works fully and with nice picture and sound too. Then I went on Ebay and bought the bananna back (no box), it wasn't that hard to find. I didn't play the lottery today, maybe I should have.
