facts bro syshorizon is a fire map and they need to continue to do creative crazy stuff like that the game is definitely lacking content wise all around but the core gameplay makes up for it for me a couple years from now I think it’ll be in a much better place from continuous updates and who knows, maybe it’ll replace CoD one day

the reason overwatch is being hated has absolutely nothing to do with the calling card/ emblem system nor is that a core part of the games identity that the finals would be copying. calling cards, like killcams, are just a standard thing in the genre that would add a little much needed spice to grind for in the finals and it doesn’t even have to be calling cards, my point is simply that they need to add something to grind for

@@realslop Isn't that what ranked is for? They are adding a new rank next season, and they also said in the A.M.A that they plan to add more levels for regular progression.

@@Anyhl sorta but a lot of people who grind the game don’t even play ranked or have any interest in competitive more progression levels would be another way to solve this issue, but currently you finish everything and get to level 50 way too fast imo in a perfect world there would just be infinite levels that they keep adding more and more rewards to and then there would be no need for a calling card type system

I definitely would have related to this sentiment a lot in my younger years, but at this point I just play games to have fun this is the main reason that I usually don’t grind ranked; for me personally once I start focusing on only winning instead of just having fun then it drains all of the joy out of gaming. It’s always ideal to win and it feels good but once you reframe your mindset into not caring about losing and focusing only on having fun or improving your skills it makes losing just as enjoyable as winning

@@realslop That's fair, but getting stomped 5 games in a row is just never fun, or feeling like you can only do well if you carry the match. When I used to play with a friend, we could at least laugh around, but now,playing alone, when my teammates running meta loadouts and still pulling sub .5 kds or smth along those lines, that just really kills any mood to play the game. I loved the chaos of the OBT and the first month, but now that the game is figured out pretty much, it's just not as fun, even if you lock in like crazy and win.

@@husenberg2520 yea bruh I can definitely see how that would get annoying I’m really hoping that in season 3 they add a system where it only queues solo players up with each other because currently it feels pretty rough if you’re playing alone against full stacks

I really don't understand this mindset... You're playing a multiplayer team-based shooting game, it's going to be inherently competitive, and with more and more people growing up with these types of games kids are really fuckin good. I grew up with Counter Strike 1.6 and have always been naturally good at these games and enjoy the competitive nature of it. How are you going to go into it expecting to play against equal-skill-level people when playing an unranked mode? If you and your friends aren't having fun in these games have you guys thought maybe competitive games just aren't for you?

very good points bro, I’d personally agree that I’m fine with the game how it is and don’t want it to turn into fortnite but at the same time I want the game to be successful and be around for a long time and having casual options would probably help increase the playerbase

@@realslop they do have lots of big plans I think if they added in a custom tournament mode with spectator mode in it it’d draw in competitive tournaments as well as if they put money into marketing as they haven’t much also introducing a bit more content I think would add to the player base

@@realslop I haven't played it but it looks like its concentration on teamwork would make it a great ranked mode, also if this new mode could get the game some more popularity that would be nice, I would love to see the final's become the fourth horsemen of shooters, up there with Apex, cod, and fortnight.

@davidbrisinger9944 couldn’t agree more my guy, I think this mode could definitely bring over a lot of players from games like csgo and valorant who are looking for a new game with devs that actually seem to care about the community this might sound crazy but I think it’s actually possible that the finals is one of the top fps games a couple years from now once it has time to flush out and develop

yea the ttk seems super high when coming from other shooters but once you get used to it the game feels so good

@@realslop I get they want team shooting on one target, not having a sidearm really kills the game for me because I get into fights then just run out of ammo when killing then switching targets you cant really shine by yourself. Gears of war is a good example of a team shooter for long range but can switch to shotgun and change the game up for the solo kills. just my opinion.

@Pvt_Parts404 yea it’s definitely super different than every other shooter but eventually you adapt to not having a sidearm. the finals has pretty similar vibes to GOW but it definitely leans more objective based from my experience. if you ever feel like jumping back in i’d recommend trying out the lewis gun on heavy because it can manage to dominate players at close and long range and has a fat magazine

in the discord the devs said there will be no healing beam and no defibrillator

@@realslop hahaha. There are way less cheaters in low ranks. They all get pushed up to plat lobbies and above.

The game is fun. Like really, *really* fun. The movement, combat, and terrain destruction, all is amazing. It's like apex, but without all the camping downtime, and way more enclosed. Super tight gameplay. Though ranking up in plat and above is absolute yikes because of cheaters.

yea back when s1 first launched it was pretty rough but I haven’t personally encountered anyone I suspected of cheating in a very long time now

@@realslop US servers? In the asia server that I play on (plat 3), every other round has a super obvious cheater. About 90% of games have subtle cheaters as well.
