Just found your review and what a great job you did . I have been a fan of Japan from almost the start and like many always wonder what other work we have missed out on if only they would have continued . Rob to me was very much a key figure in the band and as much as i love Tin drum Adolescent Sex Is my most played Japan album even to this day .Light Of day Is a Superb album hats Off to Rob .

It's still a little oriental isn't it? Poor Steve Jansen having to put up with that.

But the album never came...well it did, in 1998!

Hi, haven't heard this album but your comments regarding "The album gets better with repeated listenings" I can relate to with some of my favourite albums created by my favourite artists.. I've always felt Rob Deans guitar style and ability was unique. Cheers for the heads-up :)

He plays very well indeed on "Ain't That Peculiar". The timing is very different.

Can’t believe only one comment! The sixties were my era brilliant choices only a few I didn’t like there, my fav Stones album whilst Brian Jones still with them...Velvet Underground ...Cream ...Scott Walker just listened to that today the Sylvian of the sixties. Saw him three times in my teens what a voice🤗but unlike DS I found his later stuff too esoteric for me. Saw Stones very early days, saw Van Morrison Astral Weeks great but later he just became so samey🤔 Saw Bowie in his Aladdin Sane era...Dusty Springfield another great voice. Nice one Craig now on to the Seventies 😂👍🏻💚
