    It is simply an aberration that doctors in Nigeria are earning these low salaries that have not changed in more than 10 years.

    Hello DR Shade, how can tell us about the small books written by doctors that helped you. How about someone that did NYSC many years ago and above 38. Can one proceed to next stage without NYSC?

      Hello,sorry for responding late. Those books you asked about are,not limited to,Precis ( medicine- by the Med students in OAU), Synopsis for Pediatrics and Obgyn etc. Yes,if you have done NYSC once,you are not obliged it to do it again.

    Physiotherapist are doctors not actually doctor of medicine, They are doctors of physiotherapy because they assess , diagnose and plan treatment they use x-rays CT scan and other medical imaging to reach there diagnosis, they discharge patient when they get better, so basically physiotherapy has specialization like neurology/medicine, orthopaedic surgery, paediatrics, women's health , cardiopulmonary So Physiotherapist can now see patient independently without refferal from a physician, now in places like UK physiotherapy can prescribe medication independently , there is a lot I want to say about the course loool

    I'm mixed. The question is why were you there? I believe a lot of white wonder why they do not have a homeland. They wonder why they have to allow all their countries to be multiethnic. Many see Poland as one of the last few homogenous European countries so I'm surprised to be honest ppl are not more racist. If you replaced 50% of the polish people with Africans it would not be Poland. The energy would not be the same. Trust me I don't want this to be the truth. Bc I don't know if I have a future anywhere without being a burden.

    • @tyskiedog
      @tyskiedog ปีที่แล้ว

      I really don't know what to make of your comment. Are you for racism or anti? I'm from Nigeria and there are Poles,Russians, Indians, Germany etc working and living in Nigeria. Nobody benefits from closing their borders. Even N. Korea allow tourism. There is absolutely nothing wrong in a multi ethnic,multi religious,multi cultural society. Its only small minded people that fear this concept.

    Thank you for sharing your experience, I am in a long distance relationship with a Polish man for about 4 years and I will be going there (Poland) for a few weeks in a few months time, I am South African and I am a bit nervous because we are planning to experience the cities together, he did mention in conversation that there are not too many Africans and I will certainly draw attention both positive and negative, he mentioned that we will encounter racist people but he will be there to protect me. I think after watching this my anxiety levels have escalated.

    Dr. Shade, keep up with the good job you are doing. The nurse, who works with you, and graduated from the University of Port Harcourt should know that, here in America, there is what is called the "Compact" States. The National Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), was established for Nurses. The NLC is made up of 25 (twenty-five) states, whereby if a Nurse is licensed in any of the participating member states, he/she can practice in any of the twenty-five NLC participating states without any further exam.

    Dr. Shade and Pharmacist Chinelo, here,in the USA, to train as a Pharmacist, you need: Physics, CHEMISTRY, Biology and Mathematics; plus other courses or subjects, as it is called in Nigeria. You need Biology because in your second year and third year in pharmacy school, you have to take: Biochemistry (Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins, and Nucleic acids), Microbiology and Immunology. This is because some Pharmacist often decide to go for a Masters or Doctorate degrees in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc. As things are now in the USA, one needs a Bachelor's degree and the PCAT (Pharmacy College Admissions Test) to apply for admission into the Pharmacy program.

    • @tyskiedog

      Hello, the salary largely depends on what level and sector. Fresh graduates will definitely earn lower than people already working for a while. The public sector may pay more than the private and this also depends on if its a small or huge, industrial private sector.

    Dentists rotate through general surgery 1 and 2(GS 1&2), cardiology, renal medicine, pediatric surgery, urology etc. Infact Dentists rotate through most postings in medicine and surgery because no one not even medical doctors rotate through all the postings during their medicine and surgery year. Dentists do 3 months postings in medicine and 3 months surgery. So much information to share about Dentistry but it'll be a long read so I'll stop here. i have travelled to many countries but i never experienced so many racism/hatred towards my family (muslim and wearing hijab) as in Poland. Right after get off the plane, we are the only family stopped by the airport security. They took my passport and Finnish residence permit to 'verify' for almost an hour. We got stared everywhere we go and feed really unsafe. We also realised that there so few hijab wearing woman in warsaw unlike other european cities. I got a very unfriendly treatment at shop and information counter. The worst is my 13 years old daughter got harrased and showed 'cutthroat' sign by a man infront of her in a bus. However not all is bad, our hotel receptionist is very kind and friendly old man.
