I think what might help you get closer to forgiveness is if you approach the relatives who wronged your mother and demand they respect you and your mother enough to admit/acknowledge their wrong doing and be sincere in asking for forgiveness. (I’m not sure if this is something you all have already done, but if not, I truly believe it is needed and will help start the healing process.)
