Nice! That would be an incredible level of economy to have. But yes we mainly city drive and there’s a tonne of construction going on a lot of the time. So far our car is around 11k kms. We usually get 9.4ish when on strictly the highway but that’s it. We’ve never gotten lower than around 12.5 with just city

The occurrence rate of new Toyotas having problems lately is what's a big deal for a brand that's known for reliability. Just a shame everywhere companies cut values for them on producing products yet charge significantly more for said products now being made cheaply.

This notice is grouped with the airbag recall on our Toyota app, yes! But regardless, as mentioned in the end of the video, I do really like my GH and most people do enjoy them. Discussing these things is nice though as maybe only some of us got the notice while others did not, and it’s nice to know these kind of things are going on incase a notice isn’t sent out to everyone and then people’s cars start having issues and we’re never aware something like this was a thing.

Aha well the 4runner is an incredible SUV. These GH have great space and a really good look. It’s different tho. Been toying with swapping this GH out for a 24-25 4Runner but pretty sure the engine in 25 is going to be the same aha

@@Erikzapp no rear collision protection for the grand highlander to save the rear door from damage and that is expensive Another thing in Canada the grand highlander is considered a theft risk so carries an insurance surcharge which are a pain to get around had to do that with my 4Runner as it’s on the same list and that was the other nail in trading to the GH plus unless one gets the standard hybrid which is a lot of weight for that NA four/hybrid to pull around then the turbo has very little mpg advantage over a 4 runner It only comes down to the third row as an advantage

Yeah I mean, hopefully in some time the 2.4T gets ironed out and becomes as reliable as the typical v6 engines of the past Toyotas

Yes! I am aware it’s a sensor. That said it is an issue if not brought in for service that could lead to a serious issue! Just giving a heads up to the people! Aha

Just a sensor? When was the last time Toyota had to do a recall for an engine sensor There will be more issues it’s guaranteed at this point

I didn’t do it in the past (had jiffy lube do the oil change)

Ha ha, yes, they are incredible cars to drive long distances. So comfortable and responsive when you’re on the freeway. It’s too bad though because now it’s not only the driver side airbag that has the deployment issue with the window open, it’s now also the passenger airbag, and there is no solution in sight, unfortunately

Nice! Yeah it was a surprise. At least the new model year body style is being delivered to customers and it’s an incredible modern yet functional interior that fixes all of the flaws of this more dated interior that was carried over from the previous generation. At least that was a cheap fix 👍 good to hear

Apparently, it just happens if you leave your fob too close to another piece of technology like a cell phone or iPad and from what I’m told it’s totally normal. Even though it’s never been a problem for any other vehicle, I’ve owned with keyless entry. 😃

@@Erikzapp put oil on the oil filter seal and because this is a new car under warranty get an OEM filter also need a new crush washer for the drain plug Hand tight for filter installation it usually says on the filter how much more to turn by hand eg 3/4 turn or whatever After some driving check for leaks It is better under warranty to have a dealership paper trail for at least the recommended oil change intervals Once out of warranty just do as you see fit But hey I am just some random guy on TH-cam

I get about 12L 100 for mixed driving. (Mainly city) on just straight highway though 9-10 mph is the sweet spot

Heck no dude! At least not here in Canada. May require a shady history and some accidents but I can go grab a cls63 with around 150 k KMS here in Ontario Canada for 13,500. There’s one for sale right now for that. Same with the others. Maybe down in the US it’s different. Same with the s6 v10 and e60 m5. Available for super low prices here (15k usd and under) for cars with 80-100k miles) mind you there’s also examples for well over 15k for sure. But if you want a very heavily depreciated car and not one to worry about little scratches and stuff due to it being TOO clean then cars of this nature and price point are there

They are almost identical, so it really depends on driving style👍 one thing to note though is that the pilot has a naturally aspirated v6 which could result in a longer engine lifespan, as this is the first generation of Toyotas new 2.4T engine being released in they’re grand highlanders, highlanders, tacomas, sequoia etc. so reliability of this new engine is yet to be determined

It has lane keep assist (will steer to keep you in the lane if you venture too close)

Haha those are just the cases to save space inside. I have all of my guitars in my office inside 😃 only one I have in my garage is an old Yamaha that I wrecked the fretboard on by scalloping it as a kid aha
