Let me know when there finally fully done fella as my friend has been asking me about this as he want's to get into RC cars but he also dose not like the way to control them he want's a joypad version so keep us updated as id buy one for sure :)

In due time, hopefully. To be fair, it's really difficult to show how fun the experience is without actually putting on the FPV goggles and and playing an actual game.

The Takumi is on my list of 1:10 scale road cars to make!f I'm just about to finish a 1:5 scale Octane for RC Autoball. I need to get a 1:5 scale Merc done for RC Autoball before I make any of the smaller road car bodies, though.

What are you using for a microcontroller
This is what I've been wanting for my rc car how do you do this
Nice job. Scratching my head on this on an armed rover I built. Did you use the rc reciever or are you running through a microcontroller?
Thanks! Definitely didn't do it myself. Microcontroller with the help of a couple of people.
How to do that
Put a small flick lever or piston for the jump, up under it and on top. That way, when you wanna do the "pop" that comes in it's place. Also need gyro rotational internal device that remains stable while rotating the vehicle around it, for aerials
that's wonderful . How many meters could the PS3 controller command result in...?
I moved to PS5 controllers about a year and a half ago. They're Bluetooth connected, so the range isn't good. They'll get about 60 meters with line of sight. If obstructed, about 30-40 meters. It works great for what I use them for (soccer with RC cars), so it's not a deal-breaker for me.

Great video as always! I've 2 suggestions to improve the sight/controlling Try adding a servo motor for the cam so you can rotate it for better viewing. Another crazy idea, is to put a gps in the ball itself and enable the ball cam option so the cam rotates automatically to the ball
I just posted a video on my Instagram and TikTok showing the camera mounted (on a smaller RC car) to a servo and controlled with the right thumb stick on the PS5 controller. I'll need to add some sort of protection to the roof to protect the cameras, though. One rollover would break the camera right off as these cars weigh 25+ pounds. I do think it's a great option to test out. Your GPS idea sounds awesome, but GPS usually has some lag and I don't think it would work well enough to make it a better playing experience. The way that it's played right now with the fixed camera is incredibly fun. It may not seem like a great experience while watching a video on TH-cam, but the real life experience is amazing as is.
@@rcautoball Sure it would be much better in real action, as any simple game when put in VR or AR experience, it suddenly feels better! For the camera protection, if there is a strong, yet very transparent material, it may work as a shiled box for the cam. Good luck with this project! Hope we get to the point we fly the car too haha.

The ball isn't small; it's 30 inches in diameter. I tried it once before and couldn't tell any difference other than it costing $10 to fill. Lol. It's not super light like a beach ball.

It would have to be pretty powerful as these are pretty heavy cars. This one is around 7 lbs, but my main RC cars I use for RC Autoball are 25-30 lbs.
