Gingermas Run Hunt 2022
Had a great time participating in the Gingermas Run Hunt 2022. Had trouble finding a few items but it worked out in the end. That Eggnog at the end about through me into shock.

I put the Lems Primal Pursuit to the test to see how versatile they really are. I was only able to put about 15 miles on them but it was in about every terrain possible. #running #jogging #fitness #trailrunning #lems #primalpursuit #versatility Subscribe to the channel: th-cam.com/channels/-nIl2clUwN-aR98b2zW0ww.html Follow me on Peloton @ChoosingPeace Check out my other social media linktr.ee/...

Lems Primal 2 - 1 Year Review

I have had these shoes for a year now and fell in love. If you are like me and don’t like spending a lot of money on shoes this is for you.
Gingermas Run Hunt 2021

For those in Indianapolis the Gingermas Run Hunt was a bit difficult. There were zero decorations out but we had a good turnout for the half-marathon with a few dressed for the occasion. I was happy that I brought some smiles along the way. Until next year! #gingermas2021
2021 Red Nose Romp
มุมมอง 372 ปีที่แล้ว
A short overview of the 2021 Red Nose Romp in Indianapolis, In. The weather started at 60 degrees and quickly dropped into the low 40s. The wind was AMAZING. Probably could have run in something other than a race flat but you just never know. I wasn’t looking for a PR today just out to enjoy the season. Finished at 1:51

    Another great shoe. The 360 shoe by Xeroshoes is also great for cross training/gym work... Lems is worth it though.

    Hello Jared, The site does not offer half sizes and I wanted your opinion. I wear an 8.5 in shoes but for my running shoes I usually go a full size up to avoid toe injuries. Do you feel these are true to size and ordering my usual size of 8.5 will work perfectly? I actually don't plan to wear these for running just for my day to day since I am transitioning to barefoot shoes with wider toe boxes. I own the Lem's Boulder Summit boot and went a half size up on those and they fit PERFECTLY but since this shoe doesn't offer half sizes I am torn between getting my usual size or going a full size up, but I don't want them to be huge on me. I appreciate any help you can give with sizing 😊

      I am a 9.5 US in Brooks Ghost 14 nd 4E width and same in New Balance 880 V11. I have 3 pairs of Primal 2 and in size 10 because as you said no hald sizes. However, just recently Lems told me haf sizes were coming middle of 2023. They are slight long for me nd I can get heel slip. However, the way I tie them stops heel slip completely. Given I can stop heel slip completely I would probably prefer the size 10 over the comig 9.5 and simplt because the size 10 gives me just that extra room uo front. So if yur are an 8.5 then I would get the size 9. The Primal 2 are very flexible with how you tie them and resuts are good. The shoe tends to wrap around your foot as they have no structure.

    I go through shoes pretty fast. I’m still on my first pair of trailheads for … for like forever. I should buy new insoles. Heh. 😬 but at least they don’t smell bad because of the carbon insole thing going on. I’m a 12 brannock but I 13 in trailheads and I think I have to size up to 14 in Primal Pursuit.

    They’re listed on the Lems website at 10.5 ounces. Trailheads I believe weigh in at 11 and feel they’re extremely light. Who’s right??

  • @chop3625

    They appear much more bulky than the svelte Trailhead.

      I agree. This is not a minimalist trail shoe. I have found that it better as a nice casual shoe that does not stick out with a pair of khakis but can also handle trails and longer miles. That’s why I use it as my overnight travel shoe.

    Primal is very nice and comfortable shoe especially walking all day but durability is not good. The leathery portion frays and the mesh snags and frays too. Could really improve in that area.

    I just ordered the Primal 2s after I watched your review on those a few minutes ago and after watching this video I think I should have gone with these. What are your thoughts? I’m coming from decent cushioned Brooks and enjoy running 5k to marathons

    • @gustavopaulette3496
      @gustavopaulette3496 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I forgot to add.. I’m suffering from multiple herniated discs in my lower back . Do you think the Primals might be to rough coming from Brooks and ASICS?

    • @jaredjogs3803
      @jaredjogs3803 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on your goal. I think the Primal 2 is a great recovery shoe to wear out and about to give your feet a chance to splay and can also be a good shoe for short runs to get used to a zero drop shoe. They are super light as well. The Primal Pursuit gives you more comfort overall but is much heavier. I would go slow and if running in a standard Brooks find a shoe in between with maybe a 4mm drop to start getting use to a lower stack height. Personally I would not run a marathon in any of the Lems. If I’m running anything over a 10K I prefer Altra for a zero drop running shoe.

  • @gustavopaulette3496
    @gustavopaulette3496 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very nice. I used to always wear Newton Kismets the original version 4mmlow drop shoes and never got injured. But didn’t like the newer versions of the Newtons so I started using other shoes (unfortunately higher heel to toe drops) and ever since I’m always having injuries. You’re review just made me pull the trigger and order these Lems Primal 2s in black as well as the brown Lems NinetoFives (already have the blacks NinetoFives). I got the black Lems NinetoFives a month ago and love them so much I wear them for long walks after working in them all day. I actually prefer wearing the Lems NinetoFives for walks than my Brooks running shoes. I’m curious to know which are your favorite running shoes since you said you only use these Lems Primals for short runs??Thank you and subscribed

    • @jaredjogs3803
      @jaredjogs3803 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also ran in Newtons for several months but experienced leg pain when I wore them. I typically run in Altras. I prefer the zero drop shoe to stay injury free. I have found that the Saucony Kinvara to be a decent shoe.

    A lot of reviews about this shoe stated the toe box is not wide enough. How do you feel about yours? Able to splay your feet?

    • @jaredjogs3803
      @jaredjogs3803 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are definitely not clown shoe wide, but I had no issues at all with toe splay. I would still size up a half size from your foot measurement to get the best fit possible.
