    These are such underrated yet effective ways to get habits to stay with us. I just came out of a training today - it was on safety but one of the thing that they mentioned stuck with me. That humans are inherently lazy and if we look at every technological advancements we have made, much of it is to make things easier because we are lazy. And what happens to things you anyways have to do? It is only the habits that will get us to do them. Thanks a lot for this video. Really insightful.

    hey girl! I recommend adding vitamin c + zinc to your daily supplement regimen! it helps you get sick less often and even when you do, it's less destructive because your immune system is supported -- try it! I was getting sick so many times after having covid back in 2022 that it felt like I was just constantly getting over something and I started taking vitamin c + zinc, and literally didn't get sick for 1.5 years (then caught a mild cold!). Noticed you got sick twice in very recent months so thought it would help 🤍

    OMG...I'm an avid walker on the treadmill and my feet started hurting. I looked up the condition (plantar facilitis) and looked up shoes , this shoe popped up. I went the next day and got them. Excited to wear them to the gym

    I want to say you are right u can lose weight on any diet. However, losing weight on a McDonald diet or any diet devoid of true nutrition is asking for trouble, serious health problems and is not long term sustainable. Do endorsing the lose weight with any diet is advise is counterproductive. Try again.

      Like I said in the video, not all weight loss diets are necessarily healthy, like the McDonald’s example specifically. It’s important for people to weigh the pros and cons of each diet to find what’s right for them.

      Yeah, they worked okay for lifting, but I went back to lifting in Converse after testing these. They’re just not super stable since they have some cushion and lift

    I'm traveling next week and you popped up on my feed page. Once I turned 30, I've had some digestion issues whenever I travel so I've been doing more planning to ensure that doesn't happen to me this time around. As a past fellow acne sufferer, I would recommend getting a food sensitivity blood test and also swapping out the processed foods for more whole foods. All those protein bars, goldfish, etc. have so many ingredients and may be contributing to your skin issues. Also, you're so right about being realistic with planning. I pack workout clothes every time I go on vacation and rarely go to the hotel gym because I don't consider how much walking I'll do or how exhausted I'll be at the end of the day. Definitely will be kinder to myself this trip.

      Thank you for this comment!! I've been planning to change my diet up once I'm out of my fat loss phase. I struggle to get protein as a vegetarian and picky eater (lol), so powders/bars have become a big part of my diet. I don't think dairy is great for my skin (I've seen big improvements from cutting it out in the past), but that's another one of my main protein sources. Not sure what to do, because protein will continue to be an essential part of my diet for health/longevity/muscle :') going to have to experiment and get creative!

    Is there a reason why you're getting sick so often? Sorry if you mentioned this but did you check with a doctor? I mean, some people just have a weaker immune system but even with the improvements you saw this seems like a lot.

      @jan11th oh no!! I haven’t noticed that, I actually find that I have more energy. If I was in your shoes though, I would probably take a break and maybe try again in a few weeks.

    I've been using the Nutricost unflavored as needed and just add a squirt of Mio in there so I can change the flavor whenever I want. I haven't noticed any taste to it, so I'm guessing the flavoring covers it up well.

    The nutricost uses sucralose which is bad for gut health and insulin

      I try to minimize the amount that I have, but I'm okay with some artificial sweeteners here and there. For fat loss, it's really helpful for me to have instead of regular sugar. I'm not personally concerned with my insulin levels. As far as I've read, the studies on sucralose have demonstrated a change in gut microbiome, but we don't know if it's a positive or negative change for overall health yet. There's much more research to be done in this area. I think it comes down to personal preference.

    Super interesting and informative video Cadence! Glad it’s helped you so much in your fat loss journey:). I wonder if the Glutamine supplement would do anything for me because I rarely ever get sick and usually eat plenty of poultry (but maybe I’ll give it a go!). With regard to sugar cravings, I think slowly weaning off artificial sweeteners and added sugar would be the way to go. I know it’s tough because people tend to eat less fat to reach calorie deficit goals (training the brain to crave savory/umami instead), but that could be what’s keeping your sweet tooth so strong, otherwise the body and tongue adapts and you don’t crave sugar as much or need as much “sweet” to be satisfied. Our bodies weren’t really meant to be tricked eating artificial sweeteners and the jury is still out about how this might be affecting our gut health, brain chemistry, etc. in the long run. I have a friend who has miraculously managed to avoid all desserts for years now, and he tells me he has changed to bitter/sour tooth instead 😂.

I'm looking forward to experimenting with my diet once I'm out of my fat loss phase, hopefully in the next couple of weeks or months. I do try to avoid artificial sweeteners unless I feel like I really need them, since I agree that more research is needed in that area.
