Also is the 40’ for 350 or the 325 ur ovens were set at?
It's baked at 350 for 40 minutes. However, Kym believes she baked it at 325 since the oven was much hotter than she was used to.

Nice. Thank you for publishing this video. I've baked bread sporadically over 65 years. Watching fist as my mother made her Cornell University recipe loaf bread and later as I stumbled into my 20s and 30s. Now that I'm retired I'm practicing more with scones, baguettes and croissants. I've become passionate about baguettes, but have yet to crack the code; the flavor is great, but the crust is still too thick. Your detailed comments have helped and I'm anxious to fire up another round of baking.

Can you use honey instead of sugar?
Great question Tina! We asked Jessie for you. You technically can, but you'll need to add it with the wet ingredients. It will change the final texture and flavor. The scone dough will be more wet, so it's up to you.

How much water do you add to the hopper and how do you pre season the stones?
The reservoir holds about 1 3/4 cups of water. When you get your oven you will have to cure the stones. You will be given instructions upon delivery.

The recipe calls for 4 folds and then wait 2 to 3 hours until the dough doubles in size, then to the fridge. She does 3 folds and after the last one straight to the fridge. Can you please clarify? Thank you. 🙏🏻 great video.

You can score however you like! Proper scoring results in a better texture and appearance. Apply a firm and quick motion to make the cuts. 😄
Hi-Karen here from Wildflour Artisan Sourdough. You can score in 10 minutes but you will lose a lot of steam in the process. You can always steam again perhaps. I would recommend scoring before loading and see how it goes. Hope that helps.

Could you make this recipe with only AP flour? And if so, would you need to adjust the hydration due to the lack of whole wheat present?

How long did she wait in between bakes ?
We waited approximately 20 minutes. I usually start unloading my next batch onto the loading boards when the oven reads 450 degrees. Remember the temp we are seeing is the temperature in the air of the oven. After your first bake the stones remain hot. The stones are doing a lot of the baking. It’s the transfer of heat. The turn around load time is pretty quick.

I've been making pan de sal at home. The ingredients that I used are all purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, yeast, water, and breadcrumbs. It's a very basic white bread recipe.

@@ampol745 sponge: 1 c water, 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp yeast 3 tbsp veg oil, 3 cups all purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder (if you want your pandesal with a little bit of sweetness add 3 tbsp sugar. I use this recipe for my siopao also.

Does Simply Bread have a portable oven for Pizza events
Our Simply Bread Ovens can make pizzas! We do not carry a portable version.
This is pretty much the same recipe as Little Spoon Farm. The only difference is here they use yogurt vs sour cream in the original recipe lol

My simply bread oven takes about 10-15 minutes before it's ready to load again
If you’ve left it on at 500 the whole time you can go right back in. They’ll brown a bit slower but you can do it right away

It’s 100% hydration, so equal amounts of water and flour. The amount of starter depends on how soon you want to use it.
