hello my friend :) i'm really glad you uploaded these tutorials for this machine. i was lucky and found myself an eps with 4x memory for only 200 bucks! now i have some questions i couldn't answer by reading the manual. can you adjust the samplerate after sampling or is this only possible while sampling? the second question is, can i somehow change the volume of a sample after i put multiple samples on one instrument track? And the last question is, can you play samples on different velocities like in 16 levels (mpc)?

Bought a JS two years ago and Mirage last winter.. always thought they’d make a great 8 bit pair and you did the leg work to show that they do belong together.

It works well ! Genius ! I had a problem at the beginning. You have to active auto trim on record in the settings. It gives you the good Start point. And you don't really care the ending of the recording cause the trick of the notes in the sequencer will make the sampler reloop before the end of the recording. Really smart ! Thank you !

How Can I Do this on my Android?!

Mine turned into inerapp audio but didn’t record any sound, I exit out and go back in and it doesn’t change back to IAA, but I hold down a pad and push keys from an app and it records a sound but the audio sounds different

I just bought it on sale for 8,- bucks which is absolutely crazy. Gone through a ton of IOS daws and this is by far the best one. So many things copied from Ableton which is not a bad thing :- )

Think you! Great TUTORIAL ! I got one for free. I die not come with a power supply. And it did not work with average ones. It needs very specific values like an old NES. It works and I cleaned it. That was not done since the nineties. I hope to get something great out of it.

you have specs of the rotary replacement?

Another thing you can do is actually speed the sample up before you sample it; the sample will now play back quicker. Then sample it into the mirage at a higher sample rate. It uses less memory and you can have a higher sample rate because the sample at source is playing back quicker. then just use the Mirage to slow the sample down by either using tune or just finding the key on the keyboard that gives you the correct speed. Great video BTW.

Mpc software the best daw I’ve ever used , it perfect for my workflow. Most people don’t like and I’m like 🤯🤯 I own FL studio used ableton , reasons , logic ,ect and MPC 2 software is the best because it work like hardware and gives you a hardware sound . You can transpose each sequence and make your beat go higher and lower effortlessly.

Just grabbed an MS-1 (for more than what’s mentioned here for sure lol) and excited to play around with the fact it’s pass thru? Should be fun getting something going on my sequencer+synth > MS-1 > running it to my mixer

You are using the phone as what in this? Curious as I’m getting an EPS16+ controlling what’s inside the EPS? Like a screen to see the waveform of sample or what? Thanks for the help as it looks useful

How do you think the EPS holds up as a MIDI controller, LUGO? It’s one of the earliest models with polyphonic aftertouch. Commenting in 2024, I would be tempted to get this keyboard less as a sampler than as a controller.
