I'm pretty sure a huge number of Prisoner fans don't know about this channel, which is regrettable. The problem is - how to inform them about it. When you see the number of people who've watched the full 692 episode playlist on TH-cam, which is around 15 million people, you can see just how many fans of the show there are out there.

Kate Hood's character of Kath Maxwell was to me the best antagonist in the whole series since Doyle's stint during the first season. Hood really did a great work, making you wanting to dislike the character, but still felt tons of sympathy for her. The pain she felt for her kid's tragic fate, the emotional block, it was so well written and acted. Her special relation with Merle, being like a mother to her and feeling remorse when she used her, that was also brilliant acting, really. She's one of the reasons the whole series ended on a high note. I also must say this interview shows the fire in her heart, working for improvement for people with disability. An important aswell as impressive work. Fantastic 🫶

I guess this is one of the shorter 'Talking Prisoner' interviews and with the passing of times memories aren't as strong but, nice to hear a few snippets about his time on the show and memories of Gerda and Glenda. Had no idea Sean was a child actor, and in Disney films no less. I will endeavour to check them out. Too bad he didn't have very much to say about Prisoner, but I suppose his acting career is lengthy. The story line with Dan cheating on Ann Reynolds came quite out of left-field and it felt like one of those times where the story used to write the actor out stretched credibility. I think Sean looks better now than he did in Prisoner! Thanks Matt.

To Matt and the talking prisoner team, and all the actors who have participated. Thank you so much for the time, the effort and the passion to do what you have been doing all these episodes. Re-visiting all these wonderful people I said was to someone talking about the old shows they are like our old friends having watched them in all the shows over the years, the Crawford productions and so forth. Re-visiting these actors, remind you of a time, very different to today and for me and find a place of comfort. Watching the episodes Sean was in the mid 80s. I was 20 something and to see him talking today. He looks Like life has been kind to him as it should he seems to have the same mannerisms as his character. I bet I’m not Robinson Crusoe here. I have watched the whole 692 episodes of prisoner I estimate about 20 times over the years and am now Re-watching it in segments on the Channel TEN app. For example I find the episode when Len Murphy or Dennis Cruickshank or Heather Rogers, when they started on, watch the episodes and then change it up to another season. I’ve also purchased many of the Matlock police from Crawford DVDs And it’s so good to see many of the then young actors That appearing prisoner later, and other shows. There is another song called The way old friends do, I’m sure many would know the lyrics, So thanks to Matt and team for bringing our old friends back and Vale to the actors that have passed. Also, thanks for showing the prisoner events for us to watch at home Cheers and all the best and continue luck and health to all!

Can't wait for the next actor to answer the question about video poker!..... Always enjoyed Sean's performances in Prisoner and in Sons and Daughters. To answer his question, Penny Ramsey was indeed in Prisoner in the early days as Jim Fletcher's (Gerard McGuire) wife, Leila! Matt - some great questions here asking how Sean has seen the industry change over the years, which prompted some interesting answers. I really like these questions, especially for our more senior actors who have seen so many changes since they first got in front of a camera or trod the boards.

This comment is very much tongue in cheek because I know that tv is very different to radio, but with regard to non-speaking characters. Going back to The Archers, there are many non speaking characters whose stories are told through the speaking characters - indeed, at one point there was a wedding between two non-speaking characters and the whole ceremony was relayed by the vicar at the front of the church and a couple of speaking characters at the very back of the church!

I know I'm late (blame the Olympics) and others have said it, but yes, The Archers is indeed still going. It is the highest listened to non-news programme on BBC Radio 4 with an audience of about 5 million plus a further million online (6 million for an ancient radio programme!). It broadcasts 6 episodes per week. The first episode was broadcast on 1st January 1951 and the episode tonight (13th August 2024) is episode 20,369. It's last origianl actor (June Spencer) retired a couple of years ago aged about 102 (she is still with us thankfully) and some of us fans think that the best espisodes are where absolutely nothing happens!
