Really interesting what you've said here about the upgrade - when we play we all tend to go for double specialites long double standard ingredients. Our reasoning is that with the standards being in the corners, it drags you to the far ends of the boards when there are more squares of them in the centre. Next time we play I might try the other way, and see if I can get that run away win! I'm also looking forward to the expansion with the cakes and some extra upgrades too!

Wow, I’ve never heard of this game! Seems much better than the actual Bridgerton games out there.

Thanks for your review. This game and its predecessor looks really interesting with the thematic story and exploration. If I get one, it would be this one for its more streamlined play. I think I would consider this game for solo play. It might be a bit challenging to get others to play because it’s so different than most board games.

Nice video, I currently have a 356 ELO on BGA, which by no means puts me anywhere near the top of the best Tapestry players, and I think you make some very valid points. I currently have around 250 plays on BGA and feel like I am still learning stuff about proper strategy. Its kind of crazy how much the game has changed for me since playing on BGA, where at my skill level I am averaging 325 points per game and often times the winner of games is much closer to 400 points. For a game with a fair amount of random elements it's amazing how much strategy can still play a huge factor. I have lost games where I have played what might be considered a stronger Civ against better players and got trounced. I find it to be a very rewarding game to play and just can't seem to get enough of it.

How about playing it witj forteller app? Does the app worth buying?

Just picked this up myself...had enough store credit to walk out of my local gaming store with it! Can't wait to play it with the wife.

The standard heroes are your "basic cookie cutters" like you say, but did you get to the epic heroes? They follow specific rules and make the game WAY more difficult. If your dungeon isn't ready when they start showing up, you're in for a world of hurt, lol

I'm so excited! I owned every expansion for the original Boss Monster. It's my favorite board/card game of all time, and I am so PUMPED for this one to get to me now!

The draft and town really fix this game for me. I hated the pure randomness in the card draw, just very few decisions and lack of player agency that it felt like it played itself more than I did. Watching a few play throughs of this, this looks a lot better and fixes what I hated. Also, in a 4+ player count can do a catan style player turn where the person who goes last goes first to place their minion\worker. Could be interesting. Thank you for your video dude!

The thing about the heros being kinda bland is that there is an expansion that adds items to heros. Making heros more diverse and alot more challenging

Hmm i don’t know about easier. I find the game more punishing since you can’t just go to a market and heal everything- and camping doesn’t help that much.

the game is truly great, but the replayability is really bad. i've finished the game once and we found and awakened over half of the totems in the whole game. we also found and beaten 7 bosses and we found over 7 passengers to bring back. in total our game took 28hours and the game end without spoilers was anticlimactic to say the least. we had no control over the end of the game whatsoever and we couldnt decide anything.

I have a Billy too. I did use a Kallax before I got it. I love the adjustable shelves on it. The only thing that drives me crazy is the bigger games stick out a bit
