RB25 Bottom End Assembly With RB26 Rods

Today is the day we FINALLY start to reassemble my RB25 after a complete strip down!
Because my last crank was toast after bearing failure we are using a new crank, some RB25 CP forged pistons, RB26 rods, new main bearings, big end bearings and piston rings.
I also finally got to see the difference between RB25 and RB26 rods up close. While it's not a massive difference it is certainly noticeable, and these standard RB26 rods have proven themselves in many stock GTRs over the years.
Being my first time doing anything like this, I had a pro show me each step first then gave it a go myself - and I couldn't be happier with the end result. The rotating assembly spins so smoothly! I can't wait to get the rest of the
motor put together and turn the key!

No mate, was comparing my RB25 S2 standard rods to the "new" RB26 standard rods.

Can you get a technical manual for the rb engines? Building mine soon but I’m in the US and rb’s never came here in any car, so there aren’t any databases for it. It’s basically like they don’t exist here and would be impossible to work on without the internet to find parts for it.
