Some other cool facts about Dimitri. Claude is straight-up unwilling to fight Dimitri 1 v 1 in Golden Wildfire (he knows he'd lose). He needs three crested relic users just to slow Dimitri down. In Houses, Edelgard runs away when Dimitri goes after her in Gronder Fields. Without Byleth, she seems unwilling to fight Dimitri as well (and Edelgard, with Byleth, takes down a dragon who can tank nukes). In Azure Gleam, Dimitri casually bats away the big bad's magical attacks (the same attacks that nearly killed Byleth). Dimitri also soloed entire batallions of soldiers for 5 years in incredibly poor physical and mental health in 3/4 routes in Houses. He brutalized some of them so badly people thought some kind of animal attacked them. Whenever Dimitri's defeated, people remark that he survived long past when anyone else would and it takes entire armies (or multiple super powered characters) to do so. It also only happens after Dimitri's been in terribly physical and mental health for 5 years and is actively seeking to get killed. Even that is implied not to be enough to kill him since in Silver Snow it's heavily implied he survived all of that and took his own life.

This is a fairly good rundown. I have looked into this matchup for awhile and I find myself on the more conservative side of scaling. (I will admit tho, I don’t know three hopes well) Main point being attack potency. I don’t fully buy the power statements in game. Three Houses is known for using the unreliable narrator so I tend to cast doubt on scaling based purely on statements. So in order. Scaling to Sothis. Byleth doesn’t show to have a huge power boost from Sothis. The only new thing he really does is escape a dimensional prison. So I don’t believe Byleth is as strong as Sothis. Continuing, Sothis’s main feat is a stated continental flood in the underground library, and I don’t think that’s enough info. Next argument, Valley of Tourment. So the Valley of Tourment feat, people point at a story told in game when a JoL is redirected from Garrag Mach into the now Valley of Tourment and that is the result. My main problem is that, from reading the source, it seems that it was many JoL used in that attack. Because we don’t know how many, it is hard to pin down a fully accurate number. Next argument, cleaving a mountain. That is a stated feat and we don’t see something like that in game. In fact, Claude himself casts doubt on it. It at most is applicable to the SotC, but not the other Heroes Relic most likely. So what do I believe? Well I agree with the JoL to Rhea to Edelgard to Dimitri chain. However, the Calc I like for the JoL is measuring the power needed for it to destroy Fort Mercer, which I believe is City Block to City at best. Still strong, not Mountain. I am also skeptical of using magic dodging for speed feats, but that’s not a hill I wish to fight on.
It all comes down to what scaling DB buys, as the major arguments come down to what scaling you buy for Dimitri. I’ll be happy no matter the verdict (rooting Dimitri btw) as long as they well explain themselves (and don’t use Heroes)
You’re forgetting that rhea was beaten by an army and byleth and after being worn down in a battle of attrition, byleth and edelgard land a precise surgical blow to a critically injured dragon. Just think, if dimitri or edelgard could strike with the force of a light javalin, they could level fortresses in single blows but nothing even remotely close to that ever happens and light, lightning speed would let them kill everyone in fodlan before you could finish blinking unless the claim is that everyone in fodlan is lightspeed including horses.
@@firenze6478 it is very possible for just Byleth and Edelgard to kill Rhea without the help of any other units or battalions. As for the “destroy a fortress” thing. Even with that power, if you don’t have the proper surface area to distribute the power, you will go through instead of leveling it. So a character can still be that strong and not literally leveling buildings. As for the speed thing, yeah. If you buy a magic dodging feat as a feat if speed, that makes every character on that level too. I am iffy on my acceptance of lightning/light spell dodging for speed feats.

Some of Dimitri’s scaling is making my brain shrivel. Apparently because he and an army with s time warper defeated a girl who with an army with a time warper defeated a dragon who was extremely worn down and barely survives the blasts of two missiles that dimitri can hit with the force of a light spear meaning that he should be able to cast aside mountains and fortresses with single hits, but I guess everything is made of adamantium in fire emblem because he doesn’t do anything close to this. Also because abraxas snd thunder spells can miss or he telegraphs the mages hand movements, that makes him fast as lightning or light which means that he could kill everyone in fodlan before you could blink, but I guess every man, woman, child and horse is also light speed because he doesn’t. Also claude mentioned a myth that the sword of the creator which is made from a divine dragon bones and is much stronger than the other relics and the myths are later revealed propoganda cleaved through mountains, this makes dimitri mountain or island level because idk I guess we should just call squidward omniversal
It doesn’t mean much considering the AP/Durability difference, but I think it would be more reasonable to say that Lethality can one-shot anyone with the highest durability shown in the game. It wouldn’t really make sense if he was suddenly able to kill Lucifer Morningstar or some other cosmic being.
Doubly so because some special enemies have flags coded in that makes them lethality immune (at least in older games) so it is definitely not intended to be just an autokill
I feel your overscaling his speed and hegimond/base edlguard seeing as anyone can doge light attacks as these are 1v1 encounters meaning the antisapation off when the mage cast not the light in general and hegamond is easy enough for any unit to beat and base edlguard is arguably more dangerus Also pretty sure ailell the vally of torrmemt was rasied by those missiles and the curch covered those up and said it was the goddess
Rhea can not tank the javelins of light, she was insanely damaged by them while not even being in the center of them. I don't think anyone but the gods can scale to them
The fact she survived being somewhat neat 2 of the blasts back to back is still impressive. Especially since just one of these things can level an entire city, and another one created the Valley of Torment.
@@mythos6308 a fort, 2 could barely destroy a fort that byleth and some normal soldiers escaped while the javelin was still falling, while they were still inside the fortress. Not to mention there îs The cutscene where rhea almost does from the explosion of two, and those explosions were almlst the same size as rhea, not even close to a Mountain or island, and that doesn't matter st all cuz Dimitri has no durability nor strength of a javelin of light either way
Alao did you realize rhea was heavily damaged and almost killed after just one missile.and a jevlon of light could barely destroy a fort. Yokind highballed dimitri with either feats that he never displayed, or gameplay like light spells that are not even loght speed. Horses and leasant can also dodge them in game
The only thing I find contentious here is the speed scaling. Relativistic scaling for the purposes of dodging lightning or light is, IMO, really shaky, since spells require complex incantations and create obvious indications that the spell is going to be cast, and usually where the spell is going to be cast. I think its much more parsimonious to assume that Fire Emblem characters are dodging spells via anticipation and not being where the spell was aiming once it has been cast. That seems far more plausible, especially given that no character is ever depicted as anything close to relativistic in speed other than via this highly specific and inconsistent instance. Note, I still think he Dimitri should out-speed Guts, and massively out scale him in every other regard, so I don't think it matters at all. But I think supersonic, maybe hypersonic is a better speed scaling for Dimitri.
Hey so I completely forgot to talk about Dimitri fighting giant robot mechs in his route. I guess the literal Missiles distracted me, but regardless his attacks are capable of destroying giant robot mechs. So I'd say his physical strength is much higher than I stated.

How big was the dimension
Its never stated because they very rarely stay there
But it has galaxies and etc within it according to 3Hopes
@@Hebleh guts is dead
i dont believe you, good content though
You really wanked dinitri with gameplay feats, dimitri is not light speed. You do realize light spells are not canonically light speed and can be dodge by horses and thieves. So is everyone light speed then? Also Mountain durability that dinitri never displayed, but he got stabbed and injured by fleche with a dagger
You're gonna need A source to back up your claims besides Gameplay/Game Mechanic.
@@bluecrushbluedrake5616 so basically just how he brought no source other than "this character did that during gameplay" even though they can't during the story. Gameplay are stas contradict each other
@@mihaimercenarul7467Gameplay affects nothing, otherwise, we would have to imply that to most if not all games.
Most characters have throughout the story canonically (By Scaling to those characters or scaling above them).
@@bluecrushbluedrake5616 gameplay also affects nothing în three houses. You can finish a gemeplay chapter with a little Girl that îs canonically stated to lose against a normal soldier în The story, yet during gameplay she can clear the entire map of enemies, dodge lightning and tank meteors (which în lore she stated how she can't even carry books nor run fast) and after The chapter gameplay îs over, The story resumes as none of that happened, Cuz technically it didn't
@@mihaimercenarul7467 You're just using randoms for Gameplay to try and prove a point
(Which does nothing, again)
You've been using gameplay to try to "debunk" it.
Idk where you're even going with this lol.
Fair enough
@lucasm.3864
i am pretty sure Lucifer Morningstar has insta-death resistance.
Doubly so because some special enemies have flags coded in that makes them lethality immune (at least in older games) so it is definitely not intended to be just an autokill
I feel your overscaling his speed and hegimond/base edlguard seeing as anyone can doge light attacks as these are 1v1 encounters meaning the antisapation off when the mage cast not the light in general and hegamond is easy enough for any unit to beat and base edlguard is arguably more dangerus
Also pretty sure ailell the vally of torrmemt was rasied by those missiles and the curch covered those up and said it was the goddess
@@wingedbluj1674a javelin of light îs very weak. It can't even destroy a small fort. Rhea îs pretty weak
@@mihaimercenarul7467 it's really not, it destroyed the fort and most of the mountains surrounding it
@@mihaimercenarul7467There is literally a cutscene of them completely destroying a fort in two routes
@@mythos6308 a fort, 2 could barely destroy a fort that byleth and some normal soldiers escaped while the javelin was still falling, while they were still inside the fortress. Not to mention there îs The cutscene where rhea almost does from the explosion of two, and those explosions were almlst the same size as rhea, not even close to a Mountain or island, and that doesn't matter st all cuz Dimitri has no durability nor strength of a javelin of light either way
Also lance of zoltan the stronger silver lance he can get
Forgor the supper javilen gradivus the lance that pearced rock
But I think supersonic, maybe hypersonic is a better speed scaling for Dimitri.
guts would be fine🙂
Dimitri shouldnt have lethality.its an assassin exclusive ability, and Dimitri isnt an assassin. Hes a Lord/paladin
did you tag my boy @uncrownedotaku???
