    No hate, just warning everyone,
    NEVER LEAVE A STRAWBERRIES ON YOUR FACE FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES!!
    Strawberries are very acidic, and while there are many benefits to a strawberry banana face mask, you should leave it for maybe 3 minutes, but no longer than five.
    The acids in strawberries will actually cause red, irritated, breaking out skin.
    No hate.

    do not pull or drag with the extraction tool! push down and slowly push away. I would not recommend derma roller after exfoliation. since the pores are open, the roller will expose you to bacteria. don't forget to use cold water to close your pores. like she forgot to do! no hate. just want everyone to be safe

    • @itsmahmed
      @itsmahmed 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +annapinkele agreeed

    • @flutteringazure
      @flutteringazure 8 ปีที่แล้ว +161

      Pores are not doors. You cannot "open" and "close" them. The hot water mainly softens any skin oils and stimulates bloodflow to the skin. Cold water helps the bloodvessels constrict again.
      I do agree with the dermarollor after extractions and exfoliation, that sounds like a bacterial minefield waiting to happen (how do you even sanitise a dermaroller)?
      I love the idea of the strawberry mask! Will give that a try next time I find some strawberries at the market :)

    • @LovelyVanessa01
      @LovelyVanessa01 8 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      How does a sanitised derma roller expose you to bacteria? How does the exfoliation step before influence that? Is it because your skin is too open?

    • @fritz2838

    Everything was good, except derma rolling right after extractions it is not recommended to prevent bacteria from those open wounds spreading to the rest of the face, it seems that she had a fair amount of pimples. It will better to wait one week after healing took place and then derma roll the skin.

    Dear Alexandra,
    I want to thank you for all your skin care videos, back when I was 11 my face was full of acne, I got bullied a lot, even my relatives said I looked disgusting. When I came across your skin care videos it really helped me a lot and my skin is a lot better now that I am 13, I have no more acne, no more blackheads, I just have a little bit of acne scarring around my forehead, but it isn't really a problem. Once again, THANK YOU!

    I also love dermarollers, I didn't think I would and I really didn't trust that it wouldn't cause more damage but then I went ahead and bought one. My skin never looks better than the morning after I used a dermaroller at night. But a word of caution you should definitely sanitize both the roller and your face (especially as you have just popped some pimples) with rubbing alcohol before using the dermaroller :) that's how dermatologists do it.

  • @MichelleRaoui

  • @TessaEmilyMarie

    Derma rollers essentially are you creating tiny cuts in your skin, which does produce collagen, but also creates openings for bacteria to cause serious infection. You must be extremely careful with sanitation, storage, application and after care if to choose to purchase. I wouldn't recommend it again, regardless of my experience for that reason and others, but if you are going to just know the facts before you purchase. No hate on Alexandra's. Just be safe and informed everyone !

      Agreed.
      It's save to use it if you really take the time to clean and desinfect the tool after and before every use, clean the face and hands before use and wait long enough for the skin to recover. It does wonders for my blemishes and big pores.
      But there is really no way you can be lazy about this even once, because it could leave you with a nasty skin infection, espacially if you use longer needles.
      If you are very prone to skipping steps out of lazyness or because you wanna save time, then this is not the tool for you.
      (I'm not judging anyone who is prone to that, I can be too, I just want people to be save.)

    • @letsgetthatbread8376

    No hate or belittling her, but DIY skincare does more harm then doing any good. The products in containers has small amount of acid while you put lemon or strawberry thinking is has the same acid, you are harming your skin. You can use products to do facial at home.

    Oils prevent things from penetrating into your skin? That's why they're usually the last step in a routine? That's what I'd read at least, before they prevent things put on top of them from sinking in. Maybe if you're doing an overnight mask, you can skip the oil that night?

    Great video! I do at home facial's with extractions pretty frequently-there isn't anyone around who does them! I use a deep cleansing mask after the extractions to pull out any leftover junk.I then use something more calming to hydrate.

    How do you clean your derma roller?

    • @Dearmylove_i
      @Dearmylove_i 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can disinfect it by immersing the needles in something like isopropyl alcohol for about 10 minutes, then running the roller under the tap before you use it. 😊

      Not true! Oils like olive and coconut actually balanced out my skin. I used to have really oily skin and after using oils it is now normal

    • @smunoz5429
      @smunoz5429 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +Sylvana Monge actually my dermatologist told me that all oils are bad for your face because they are comedogenic aka will clog your pores. oils you see people rave about like olive, coconut, tea tree, etc. are very good for your body, but your face is just too thin for them.

    • @smunoz5429
      @smunoz5429 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sylvana Monge but what you said about oils liking oil is true, but its better to find a noncomedogenic moisturizer, which will have virtually the same effect.

      I live in Morocco so I have the chance to get my hand on the best argan and olive oils .I use them for my hair but I really am so afraid of putting them on my face as I don't want to get a beard .I am afraid that after using them my peach fuzz will become hair or smth .

    • @Pixelynx
      @Pixelynx 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      lil peach -- Yeah, I'd take anything a doctor tells you about why you shouldn't use natural ingredients with a grain of salt cause either they don't know what they're talking about or they're just being willfully ignorant...Since obviously if you're using more natural ingredients you won't be getting prescribed junk as often.
      _Refined_ oils are comedogenic. 100% natural/unrefined/raw/organic oils are not. The oils people tend to use, even if they THINK they're completely natural, they're not. They are refined. Though they won't say it.

    Don't drag the blackhead remover tool across your skin; It's too harsh and will most likely cause scarring (whether visible or not) and damage to the skins surface and to the pores.
    *If* you use this tool, use the, "wiggle method." Wiggle the tool back and forth and side to side while apply semi pressure. If your blackheads are stubborn, steam longer.

      @@lavinianegru4303 wow you are full of so much hate. As far as I know; she didn't get any cosmetic surgery done to her face, and if she did why does it matter? Why do you have to go to each comment that compliment her, and try and prove someone wrong for having an opinion. Your opinion is fine, but you don't need to be so rude, and pester everyone with your constant negativity. People find Alexandra beautiful, get over it.
